Botched surgery , my face and eye doesn’t look the same nomore I was better off not even getting surgery at all. Made it worst

I was referred to this location from an ophthalmologist, mainly because they specialize in the procedure that I need to get done, and they are listed as a provider according to my health insurance company. As soon as I arrived to the location, I was told that the visit would not be covered by my insurance, and that I would be charged a $300 deposit to even be seen by the doctor. After looking at the invoice that I had received, it clearly states "Per (office employee), requires $300.00 deposit until insurance authorized. After speaking with my insurance company, they had stated that nobody from Dr. Wells' office had contacted them. Essentially, I was charged $300 to be told by the office that my visit and the surgery that I would need to get done is not covered by my insurance, even though this specific doctor is listed as a provider with my health insurance (this was even verified by my health insurance). I have called numerous times to discuss this, and I was transferred to the doctor's administrative assistant every single time, whom has not called me back after multiple phone calls and voicemails. I am absolutely upset that not only will this office do their due diligence for their patients, they charged me money without even attempting to contact my insurance provider. I have requested a full refund with the administrative assistant on multiple occasions, and I still have not heard back from her. I will never recommend anyone to this medical office. Treated well, spent an adequate amount of time with me, was very thorough, and his medical care was excellent.

Has been an excellent ophthalmologist for me. He is very thorough with his exams & detailed in providing patient information..

Stay far away from this doctor. He is very rude and condescending. My eye will never be the same from his hack surgery! No bedside manner at all!!! I gave it 1 star for the nurses/front desk for their wonderful understanding and compassion.

Dr. Wells did an outstanding job. I can see 50% more and my face looks great after only 5 weeks.
