No problems with them for several years, then they abruptly changed their policy on medication refills without notification. They were completely inflexible about either giving me a short-term refill until I could complete new requirements or helping me complete the requirements in time, insisting it was my responsibility to have seen the notification on their website before my prescription came up for refill. Unfortunately my GP's website is not the homepage of my web browser so I'm about to crash off of my antidepressants.

Wow. The medical staff here is terrible. I just tried to become a new patient there and so many red flags right away. The lady tried to tell me it's against HIPPA for them to see if you're in-network or not. ????????‍⚕️ It is easy to see that Dr Vachris really cares about his patients through his thorough and thoughtful care. I have moved from the Austin area but still maintain him as my PCP because he has provided such great service over the years on a variety of medical concerns. It is sometimes difficult to get through to the front desk over the phone, but they have always been helpful and professional when I’ve gotten through to them. ???? The office uses an online portal YourHealthFile.com that makes it easy to send messages, find health documents, and pay bills. I cannot speak to the quality of Vachris's care. However, the clerks and staff are very short tempered and mean spirited. My PCP Dr Tim Vachris is GREAT, the office operations is the WORST. Typical POOR HORRIBLE customer service, typical Healthcare silo. I asked for a physical therapy referral, message was sent internally from front office to medical professional staff; I don't see any indication in my patient portal. Typical Healthcare communication silo, no coordination effort! I give feedback to Valeria and her response i, "... there is nothing more I can do." I provided her customer feedback and I'm sure it fell on deaf ears. @Valerie you can be part of a solution, a change for good, but you choose not to be part of a shift in Healthcare to put the patient at the center of care. Awesome Doctor! Would recommend to anybody

Dr Vachris is an inquisitive physician who relies first on classical methods of observation, touch, and inquiry to diagnose and treat ailments. Unlike so many doctors I’ve met he is not overly enamored with “so-called” modern technology to do his job; instead he relies on a combination of clinical curiosity, scientific method, and patient care. I can not recommend highly enough.

I tried to establish this physician as my PCP. He was verified as in-network with my insurance, and he had stellar reviews online. But when I called to verify that he was indeed taking new patients - the woman who answered the phone refused to let me schedule an initial appointment with him. She wanted my medical history, and to know what about me justified becoming one of his patients. It's a shame that the people who answer his phone apparently want him to get zero new business. Dr. Vachris is great! I wish I could say the same for the front office Staff. When you call they rush through the conversation and some have even been extremely rude at times. Thinking about changing my PCP for this reason.

I've been a patient of Dr. Vachris for over 6 years. He's an amazing and very thorough doctor. I only see him once a year for check-ups and in the occasion when I'm ill. It's hard to find someone who genuinely cares about their patients but he does. He takes the time to get to know you and your history. Each time I go in, he asks about my family and even knows about the history of cancer that runs in my family so he asks if anything is going on with that. I was once going through a stressful time in my life when I went in for an appointment and he asked if there was anything going on because I seemed upset. He takes the time to get to know you and will be very diligent with keeping notes and records. Awesome guy! I've been a patient of Dr. Vachris for over 6 years. I pitty others leaving reviews. They clearly have not experienced genuine care before. Dr. Vachris is lazy, not very smart (for a doctor), doesn't listen, condescending and downplays symptoms. He also ignores you when you question this behavior. Doctors are like government, no accountability.

My sons a freshman at Bowie and participated in cross country for the first time. He has been having “ankle” pain for close to three weeks. Ultimately we ended up meeting Dr. Vachris who diagnosed and is now now treating my son for a stress fracture to his fibula. Most likely he’s been running on his heels instead of the ball of his foot and trained to hard to fast. We were given seriously helpful information on preventing future injuries and have passed this along to friends and his coaches. Thank you! We would love for you to come speak to our athletes someday!

I play a lot of sports so it's very convenient to have Dr. Vachris as my sports medicine doctor and general doctor. It's always been easy to schedule appointment with the office staff. Dr. Vachris is very friendly and takes a genuine interest in my well being.

I started going to Dr. Vachris when I was a freshman in college. I am now a junior and have never had a negative experience with him. He is always respectful and attentive and genuinely seems to care for me and my wellbeing, which sadly is something I think is rare in a health care professional. I never feel like I am trying to argue against him for what I feel is wrong, which is a positive thing in my book as a female seeing a male physician. I would recommend him to anyone I know as a PCP.

I'm looking for a new General MD. The first time I tried scheduling an appointment, I got routed to a 3rd part service who took several days to call me back (at which point I was out of town). The next time I tried scheduling an appointment, the lady who answered refused to schedule an appointment for me until I had gone and confirmed that Dr. Vachris was covered by my insurance. Nevermind that most clinics will offer to check this for new patients, but this lady was steadfast in making me go through the process of calling back in again after I had double-checked my insurance. I even offered to call back in to cancel if it turned out that Dr. Vachris was out of network for me. Well lo and behold, I work for one of the biggest software companies in the world and I just confirmed that Dr. Vachris is in-network (big surprise), but I won't be utilizing his services because I was so put off by the lady who answered the phone. I am a physician and a patient of Dr. Vachris. Dr. V has excellent bed side manner, very knowledgeable and very thorough in assessing the patient's medical needs. He genuinely care for his patients well being. I would recommend him to everyone, including my closest friends and family.

Dr. Vachris was patient, kind, and exactly what we needed. My husband has been dealing with fatigue, headaches, and muscle pain for several years. We asked Dr. Vachris if he'd be willing to stick with us until we found out what was wrong. He said he was up for the challenge and I went to the next appointment with my husband hopeful. He was up for the challenge alright. After five years we finally have an answer for my husband's symptoms. I am extremely thankful for him. Highly recommend.
