It was a detailed appointment and both David and Dr Sanford gave their full attention to my concerns. I very much appreciated being referred to them.

Dr. Sanford was able to see me very quickly and during our appointment he was great at explaining everything in detail and answered all of my questions. He was very personable and honest.

Doctor Sanford and his staff are all professional, caring and helpful. I've had ongoing challenges with herniated discs and they listen to me and have helped me work through all my issues. A special shout out to Ellisa who is the perfect blend of professionalism and friendliness and returning calls when promised as few do today!

Dr Sanford was wonderful to communicate and discuss the damage in my back. I would absolutely refer others to him. Unfortunately, I changed my Medicare insurance as of Jan. 1, 2023. I am disappointed that I cannot continue using him as my doctor.

I was under the care of Dr. Sanford for a back injury that was beyond painful for me, unable to stand, lay down, or sit for very long at all and this went on for about a month. Dr. Sanford was able to draw from his professional experience to contact the insurance company and request permission to move forward with surgery instead of the other minor things the insurance required prior to approval of a surgery. Dr. Sanford is very well spoken, and cares about his patient’s health and comfort. Just absolutely terrible that knowledgeable & friendly doctors can bill excessively. Be careful with your billing, their records do not match what my insurance company stated was charged and paid by them.

The office staff here is top notch. Nena was able to deal with my prior physicians record staff, my insurance, and the imaging center so that my needs were taken care of. She was always on top of things. I can not possibly say enough about PA David Kaufman. My first visit was about 45 minutes with him and we went over everything. What really surprised me most is that he truly listened to all I said while looking at the area on my latest MRI. My main problem is nerve pain in my legs that all believe is coming from my spine. I have had this for 15 years following multiple car accidents. He ordered 4 diagnostic tests which Dr Sanford agreed with when he came in. PA Kaufman told me individually nothing showed but putting the tests together like a puzzle showed a nerve poking out. Dr Sanford went around the cage in my spine from 2019 surgery with an injection. I don't know how he got what no other previous injection was able to but he did. I'm almost afraid to write this down but I can get down and play with my grandkids for the first time in 4-5 years. Dr. Sanford and David Kaufman, PA, are very personable and easy to talk with, taking the time to explain things in terms I can understand, although I struggle to describe symptoms correctly for them to understand! They don't have a magic wand, but they are very knowledgeable, supportive and willing to explore options to help my situation. (Billing is a little wonky, but I discovered an awesome person in the billing department who has been extremely helpful.) I have been treated by Dr. Timothy Sanford and his P.A., David Kaufman for about 3 years now. They are excellent medical providers. In 2020, I had terrible headaches from really bad arthritis and stenosis in my neck. I tried everything including pain shots and botox shots. Nothing worked. Dr. Sanford performed several injections in my cervical spine. Headaches are gone and neck is so much better. in 2021, I began having terrible low back pain and pain running down my left leg and groin. MRI again showed arthritis, bone spur and narrowing. Dr. Sanford performed injections, and I am so much improved. He is really good at these injections, very caring and makes sure I am not in any pain during the injections. I visited Dr Sanford last March 2021and again this past January 2022 he is extremely knowledgeable and very caring. He was able to give me some shots in my back and followed up a week later to see how I was doing. I’m very pleased with the outcome. I do know I’ll be back next year for additional care. A couple months ago I had to take my son to Dr. Sanford because we were in a car accident. I got to say, he took great care of my son. He was able to make him as comfortable as possible with the procedures he had done. Also, his team is pretty amazing as well. It's nice to walk into an appointment and the crew knows what they are doing! Highly recommend Dr. Sanford and his team. Doctor and PA were very nice but billing fees were outrageous. Over $1000 for an office visit and telemed visit to review my MRI, which was in addition to the office charges.

Very expensive compared to other pain management specialists for a consultation and a follow-up only. In the end the answer was the same: we can't help you.

I am posting to caution people about the excessive fees charged here. The physician and PA I saw were both very nice. However, a 25 minute new patient visit with no testing was a ridiculous $675! In addition to that, a 14 minute telemed follow up visit to review my MRI results (which were paid for separately) was at an additional cost of $343 AFTER insurance payment. Although these charges are allowed by the insurance company, even our broker stated Barrows is known for excessive fees. And although the fees may be allowed they certainly are unethical. I have been in healthcare for 30 years and never posted or registered a complaint but this deserves to be brought to people‘s attention. Outstanding physician!!! Dr. Sanford successfully treated and resolved my back pain and leg numbness, allowing me freedom of movement without pain.

I went in with lower back pain and Dr. Sanford was very helpful. I went through physical therapy and meds but nothing helped. After an MRI it showed I had a herniated disc, he recommended the option of a steroid injection. After two injections I am pain free and back to the gym. He was very kind and understanding.
