Dr. Timothy Charles Abigail

Not sure what all the 1 stars are about. My experience w/Dr. Abigail was great. He came in, introduced himself, examined my foot, discussed the situation and suggested next steps. I agreed and he performed the procedure in the same visit. Follow up visit was smooth as well. All healed up and my toe feels and looks better than it has in a long time.

I was under the age of 15 when I first saw Dr. Abigail. My adopted mother took me in for an assessment on my bunions. Abigail then told my mother that not only did I have bunions on my feet which needed to be surgically corrected with pins on my feet. He claimed I also had an issue with my Achilles tendon that he needed to fix. Of course with me being the age that I was I was not in control of what happened to my body. Today I am 24 years old. While my feet no longer hurt. (and most likely only ever hurt because of the fact that I was a growing child.) I can no longer bend either one of my big toes. Nor can I walk long distances because of the surgery he did to my Achilles tendon. Surgery that would supposedly elongate my Achilles tendon.( I was never informed as to why this was necessary.) All I can say at this point is please do not take your child to this man. He is money hungry and very creepy towards children. Very abrupt and smug acting. Kept repeating his questions although I had already answered. At least his staff were friendly.

If you want to see a podiatrist who doesn’t make eye contact and seems uninterested in you as a person, then Dr. Abigail is your guy. I’ve been a health care provider for 45 years but of course he didn’t know that because he wasn’t really interested in knowing anything about me. I was appalled by his abrupt manner and lack of compassion as he jabbed needles into my feet without even waiting a few seconds for the numbing spray to work. Of note, the skin wasn’t even swabbed with alcohol first. This is a provider who I will never have contact with again.

Dr. Abigail did a great job on my left bunion, and I need to go back now and have him do the other. I was terrified of someone operating on my feet, but the results moved like clockwork, matching his most optimistic recovery schedules. Stay as far away as possible from this practice. Dr. Abigail is like a Wolf in Sheeps Clothes. He comes across as being friendly but he gets easily offended and will turn on you in a second. If he wants to do surgery on you make sure you get a second opinion. Let the buyer beware!

He was nasty!

In a word, terrible. He was rude. Just looked at x-rays and said I had a stress fracture on one foot and a fungus on two toes on the other foot. The exam room had trash on the floor including what appeared to be a used Band-Aid. Assumed since I was up in my years that I couldn't wear a boot to protect my foot and put a surgical shoe on. Didn't even ask if I could walk in a real boot, just assumed since I was 'old' that I couldn't walk in it. I drove myself there, I didn't have a wreck, and I walked into the building and his office. Talk about an assumption! Terrible doctor.

I take all of what I originally said back about this office. My ancor sutures are sticking out of my leg 7 months post OP and you wont render services you failed to render without me paying you for your mistakes.. I have been seeing Dr. Abagail for last 10 years for pseudogout. He knows my treatment very well, I recovered fast on time, everytime and he actually calls back at night unlike many doctor. I moved 15 miles from his office and I still visit him if I have any issues with my feet and he takes care of them. He is funny too. Love this guy!

Every visit felt rushed. Doesn’t explain as thorough as other providers I’ve been to. I’m not happy with the result after my surgery. Will not go to him again for my other foot.

I had a complication with a very painful ingrown toenail and didn't sleep at all last night. First thing this morning I called at 8:30 and they fit me in at 9:00. Dr Abigail fixed my toe and I couldn't be more grateful. Love his sense of humor also ! Thanks Doc !

A great Doctor and Surgeon. I had a bad bunion on my right foot. I recently had surgery on my right foot to correct the problem. The nurses and staff were awesome as well as the anesthesiologist. Dr. Abigail checked on me before and after surgery. Overall, this is a great surgery center and podiatrist. My foot looks great and is healing very well. Do your research, there are many better options out there in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.

This doctor took care of my husband John Osa, since,my husband has not stop talking about him on how brilliant and a caring young doctor he is. “Bedside manner is second to none.” He often describes how crafty and artistic he is in his surgical procedure. Dr my husband think you’re the best.

When i broke my foot, i knew i needed a specialist to handle my situation. Mr. Abigail and his staff are very knowledgeable and friendly! They assisted me throughout the entire process including the surgery details. They have all the necessary tools to make sure you are taken care at that site!

Dr Abigail is great. He did both of my bunion surgeries, no problems. He is very courteous and thorough. He explains what he will be doing. A great doctor!

Honestly, a great Doctor and Surgeon. I initially went in for extreme pain in both feet and Dr. Abigail was very precise on pinpointing what was wrong and how we can address the situation. I recently had surgery on my right foot to correct the problem. Going in for surgery, the nurses and staff were amazing and very kind and comforting as well as the anesthesiologist who took care of me. Dr. Abigail checked on me before surgery to make sure everything was okay and I was more than at ease with surgery at that point due to how comfortable i felt. After surgery, a nurse took care of me until I was ready to go home and she made sure to make the process easy as possible. I am currently on day 3 of recovery and so far, I have been constantly reassured by the nurses and staff calling me to check up on me to make sure everything is going well. Dr. Abigail is an awesome surgeon that performed surgeries on both of my feet. He is very knowledgeable and skilled and will take the time to explain to you what needs to be done. My right foot surgery was first and it looks & feels amazing. The left is still healing (4 days post surgery). His nursing staff was also amazing. After both surgeries, Dr. Abigail & his nurses called to check on me. I highly recommend Dr. Abigail & his staff for the best foot care. He's defensive, easily offended and doesn't spend enough time explaining treatment.

It is a long story, but please read it to the end if you are care about your life. I had my Bunion Removal surgery with Dr. Abigail in 2017. It started pretty good, I did all the pre-checks with my physician, I purchased the walking boot from them, and I got all the rules on files to remind myself what I need to do after the surgery. On the day of surgery, I got delayed for 3 hours. I think it was still good since I had my surgery successfully. BUT, everything went downhill from there. After the surgery, I went home, follow the steps that Dr. Abigail provided from the post-surgery plan that he handed out to me. First 2 week after the surgery, nothing happened, I felt pretty normal. The first check up appointment, Dr. Abigail said my wound healed very well, so he took the stitches out and told me just kept whatever I was doing because I was doing great! 3 days after the first checkup, I felt a little numbness with little pain on the leg that I had the bunion surgery on, so I did some research online and suspecting blood clot. I called Dr. Abigail office the next day immediately and told them I the symptom that I might have blood clot. During the appointment, Dr. Abigail squeezed my calf and thigh, and told me everything was fine. He told me that I had sciatica effects and gave me a week prescription of some painkillers and steroid. Oh, I almost forgot to mention, he also check my wound, and told me he took the stitches out too early. In order to let the wound heal better, he re-stitched it. (Good that I have insurance, because re-stitch also consider operation, so that cost like almost $2,000) A week later, I stopped feeling pain, but I couldn't feel my leg neither. My whole leg was swelling, so I made another emergency appointment again. When Dr. Abigail saw my leg, he immediately referred me to a Vascular Doctor on the same day. Later that day, the Vascular doctor told me that I had blood clot, and it had been building up for more than a week because it had been spread from my foot to my stomach!! the vascular doctor also told me that my condition was critical and I needed to have the operation to remove the blood clot no later then the next day. When I got out of the clinic, I was shaking and crying, and I still cannot forget that feeling. Long story short, I had another surgery to remove my blood clot, and I am still alive now. But I have a stent in my body and I still need to go back to the vascular doctor to check up my blood clot every 6 months. It is very costly (about $500-$600 per 6 months with insurance), but it is the only way to make sure I won't have blood clot again. Thanks to Dr. Abigail, I have such an unforgettable event and all the bills that come with it. I would highly NOT recommend him to anyone who want to have easy life. One of the most skilled and trustworthy doctors.

After years of playing rugby in cheap cleats, I wound up with significant foot pain. I dismissed it as turf toe for years. Finally I went in to see a podiatrist, after my physician recommended Dr. Abigail. He suggested surgery for Hallux Rigidus, which I had done in June 2016 after the pain was unbearable and made it hard to walk. Surgery went well, and after a few months recovery, my foot began to heal. Today I ran my first 5K since the foot surgery. I had no pain what so ever, which would not have been the case a year ago. Dr. Abigail may not remember your name or occupation (despite meeting with him 8 times in 2 months), he will likely sell you inserts (I still use mine today), and he might tell you your scar isn't too pretty (I like it). Have been seeing Dr. Abigail for over 15 years. He has performed 3 surgeries and an ingrown toenail removal. With the years passing I have never had any issues with the surgeries and am very happy with the results. In April of 2016 I had a bad "misstep" and broke all 5 metatarsals in my left foot, dislocated three and tore the ligament. Dr Abigail advised me it was called a Lisfranc Fracture which is what Calvary soldiers during wars would get when the foot stayed in stirrups and the body feel off a horse. Long story short we worked to get swelling down prior to surgery and he ended up putting in over 20 screws to get my foot back together. I had to stay off my foot for three months and saw Dr. Abigail every week to be checked. He did an outstanding job and as I am writing this I have no pain and my foot is in great shape. I am still working on range or motion. I see him about every five or sex weeks still keeping close tabs on the healing progress but I truly feel if I had gone any where else I would not have had these results. I was very impressed by the hospitality that was shown to my husband and me. But it's always fun for me when I'm there. And My Dr. Abigail, he's the greatest.

Dr. Abigail was an excellent doctor and took care of my Plantar Fasciitis issue in just one treatment! I had heard horror stories of how painful getting a cortisone injection in the foot was, but Dr. Abigail made it virtually pain free! If you're needing a skilled foot doctor, who is very reasonably priced, I highly recommend Dr. Abigail. As a bonus, he's got a great sense of humor! I was very impressed with Dr. Abigail. I hate shots in my feet and he made it literally painless. The procedure was quick and easy and his staff was amazing. He also happens to be my best friends foot dr! BONUS!!

I've had two appointments with Dr. Timothy Abigail, and spent less then 5 to 10 minutes with him on both visits. On both appointments, he seemed very rushed, was not very friendly, and doesn't seem to treat his assistants very well. Instead, he seemed more interested in selling inserts and setting up follow up appointments before dashing out then providing the degree of attention that you would expect for the appointment that I was already there to meet him for. Dr. Abigail is great but his receptionist is the rudest person I've ever had to deal with at a doctors office in my experience. I like the Doctor's approach and appreciate the rest of his staff. Just beware of the front desk!

After being in pain for over 5 months Dr Abigail found the problem in minutes. He was very friendly and explained everything where I could understand. Staff was great and extremely helpful. I definitely recommend!

His aim is to get my feet in great shape. He wont accept less than 100%.

Twice I went to see Dr. Abigail, 2 different years, about 2 different feet. Each time he did NO X-rays. Both times he said he could tell by looking at me walk that my foot pain was caused by my back. Several years later, when a different Dr. recommended Dr. Abigail again, I thought maybe he is better now, so I went. He misdiagnosed me AGAIN! The same way, the same explanation both times. Each time I went to another Dr. who DID do X-rays & guess what - BOTH feet WERE BROKEN! I needed casts!
