I am 11 years post Papillary Thyroid Cancer.. I am been thinking of Dr. Trezona lately as I have been having trouble with my current Endocrinologist in keeping my TSH levels stable. All I can say is that Dr. Trezona treated me with the utmost respect and explained the Thyroidectomy to me in terms that I could more than understand. He was compassionate and understanding about the many fears that I had when I first received my diagnosis. Dr. Trezona also managed my Thyroid medications until such a time that my family and I relocated to Kauai. I was diagnosed with a melanoma on my back and was immediately referred to Dr. Trezona. He fit me into his office schedule just two business days from my call. I was blessed, considering how hard it often is to schedule to see some specialists on short notice. My wife came with me to the meeting with Dr. Trezona. We were both amazed at the thoroughness of the doctor's briefing concerning my medical situation. He discussed in detail, with helpful visual aids, multiple aspects of my melanoma diagnosis and the intended surgical procedure to address it. I am 74 years old and can honestly say that Dr. Trezona's was the single best medical briefing I have ever had. And then to top it off, he had me scheduled into surgery just over one week from our visit to his office. Again, I was amazed at how quickly he moved to get my medical needs met. I have been seeing Dr. Trezona, having been referred to him by my dermatologist, Dr. Horner in Lebanon, OR> I found Dr. Trezona to be a very deliberate, knowledgeable, melanoma doctor. I appreciated his way of making me understand the seriousness of my diagnosis and making sure I understood what this cancer might mean to my life span. It's never a good thing to hear you won't live forever. Dr. Trezona is a good man. I can't imagine how it must be to work with cancer patients day in and day out. Some days you have good news and some days you don;t. He doesn't take either of those times lightly. He will be the first one to laugh with you, though, if, as I do, you can put some humor in with the seriousness of life and still maintain professionalism. I have the utmost confidence and respect for Dr. Trezona and look forward to his counsel and guidance in the coming years. Dr. Trezona and his staff is very knowledgeable and caring. He listens and keeps on top of all research so together you can make the best medical decisions for each case. They are great at coordinating all tests needed to maximize your time. It is also great to have an oncologist and surgeon all in one so your care is defined to one location. There is a peace about walking into their office and seeing Dr. Trezona and I feel blessed I found him.
