Dr. S will not give me pain medicine because "he did not treat that side of my back." I guess he forgot when I told him the last time he treated my left side that my right side became painful. Now it is so painful I can't do anything and apparently he will not take responsiblity and help me.

Dr. Simopoulos is the best anesthesiologist that I've ever met. He's knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and very compassionate.

I was patient of Dr. Simopoulos in 2016 and he did Spinal Implant which has gotten me through so much of my pain. He has an awesome bed side manner, he pays attention to every detail, and actually listens to his patients! I do need to see him again soon as it's been 5 years since my implant. Thank you Dr. S. for all you did for me!! I thought I wrote a review on this site however, I don't see it.

Simopoulois runs the worst pain clinic affiliated with Harvard medical school. He actually believes that the one star reviews he and his subordinates receive are due to their policy of never prescribing opiate pain meds. What an arrogant person. I do not recommend him nor the BIDMC pain clinic. Incompetent cretins.

I was hesitant about going at first because I have been to a lot of doctors over my lifetime and sometimes you just get tired of running into attitudes or what you feel like is a lack of care. I am thrilled that I decided to go see Dr. S. He is brilliant, caring and thoroughly paid attention to my issues. On top of that, he has a wonderful bedside manner...he actually sat next to me and turned to me, looking me in the eyes to have a conversation about my history of pain. He spoke calmly with me and cheered me on through my procedure that was uncomfortable to me while teaching one of his students at the same time. I have had 2 appointments, one of which was a shot in the joints of my back and both appointments have exceeded my expectations. I have been able to sleep with no pain since my shot and that is a big deal. I'm looking forward to continuing my patient care with Dr. S and looking forward to resolving the rest of my pain issues in other areas of my back and hips.

Dr Simopoulos is the best MD for Pain Management, even in a very difficult to manage case. I’ve been under the care of Dr.Thomas Simopoulos for the last 7-8years, for management of very serious debilitating pain secondary to CRPS (Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome). This pain first presented several months after knee surgery, then became mirror image bilaterally throughout the lower extremities by the time I was referred to him. I was blessed by the referral to Dr. Simopoulos, and still thank God to this day for his fine skills placing a nerve stimulator which miraculously helps manage the most severe pain caused by this beastly, demon of a disease. Prior to this miraculous stimulator placement, I had several successful nerve blocks, but no opioid would touch the worst relentless pain I’d ever known. Dr. Thomas Simopoulos came very highly recommended from the Anesthesia team at New England Baptist Hospital as well as Dr.Brian McKeon, a world renowned orthopedic surgeon, who first diagnosed my CRPS and follows the complexity of every aspect of my case, no matter Now, I am on my second stimulator implant, and I can tell you that I am so grateful for the care provided by Dr. Simopoulos and his amazing staff. He genuinely cares about his patients, their well being, and their response to the treatment he has prescribed. I always know that in an emergency, I can make a call and get the next available appointment. I am always reassured that I am receiving the finest of care, for a painful disease that has no limits. Everyone on staff at the Arnold Warfield Pain Center in Boston, is professional, knowledgeable and compassionate...extremely kind, as well. Don’t hesitate to have a procedure or surgery done by Dr. Simopoulos. It will be one of your very best decisions.???? He is an arrogant, dismissive jerk, horrible bedside manner, takes about 120 seconds and then is out of the room. He did not answer my questions. He dismissed my pain and did not help with a diagnosis. His fellow was wonderful though. I went in for pain and he actually made it worse not better. Zero compassion.

I am a happy patient of Dr. Simopoulos. I had spine surgery by one of the best, if not the best spine surgeon around, Dr. Kevin McGuire. Unfortunately, I waited a little to long and ended up with permanent nerve damage in my leg. We tried everything to control the pain but taking medication for the rest of my life was not an option that I was willing to accept and Dr Simopoulos was willing to give it everything he had to help me out. I now receive caudal injections that work with time.

A pt. of Dr. Simopolous for the last 4 years, I find myself so thankful each day for the pain relief that I would otherwise not know had I not been referred to the finest pain physician I've known. It is worth mentioning that I had seen many MDs for severe, relentless leg pain for a condition known as RSD or CRPS-the worst pain ever! All my MDs work together but Dr.Simopoulos, referred byDr. Soni and Dr.Brian McKeon came highly recommended. My pain is managed from every angle,every season!Best!!
