Dr. Thomas Jay Rosenbaum

Dr Rosenbaum repaired my bulging disc several years ago. Im so pleased that I have has any problems since. I was told by a nurse, while waiting in the pre surgery area, that Dr. Rosenbaum has the lowest rate of infection after the surgeries of any doctor in the hospital. He insists that the patient is scrubbed for 10 minutes before surgery. That is a comforting piece of information. He did a good job of after surgery care.

Excellent, simply the doctor for back surgery when i was 51 years of age, now i am pushing 80 my back is still going strong thank you for your skill may God be with you always Dr. Rosenbaum the Doctor!!

The best doctor in portland area

Did my L4/L5 ruptured disc surgery, did a great job.

Two years ago I severely blew my L5-S1 disc. I was in agony, and I have high pain tolerance. Dr. Rosenbaum recommended a discotomy. I am so happy I went with his recommendation!! He was thorough, kind, explained things well, and I couldn’t be happier. I am a former professional ballet dancer and I had to work very hard to get back my strength and mobility. My disc extrusion did damage to my sciatic nerve and I still have numbness in my affected foot, however I have gained back 90% mobility and control. I’m 57 and it took consistent work. My first surgical procedure in 50 years and Dr Rosenbaum was the ONLY Neurosurgeon recommended by my PCP and 2 others. And he did not disappoint. I'm seeing him again this year for my lower back.

For decades I had shoulder pain and it wasn’t until I was referred to Dr. Rosenbaum that I had an actual solution (I had tried everything). The pain had become extreme with numbness down my arm, so the problem was actually in my neck. He performed a posterior C5-6 laminectomy in March, which was my very first (and only) surgery. No frills, tell it like it is Dr. Absolutely brilliant neurosurgeon! He performed a complete lamenectomy (C3-C7) on me in 2015...pain free ever since. I now return to have the lower lumbar area repaired.

Didnt take the time to really listen to all my symptoms. Gave me pills to try and told me to see him in 3 months.

Best Dr I have ever had

This was my first time needing surgery and I was honestly pretty nervous but Dr. Rosenblum and his staff made it a great experience not only did he fix my back but you can tell he honestly cares for his patients.His staff is also amazing any questions that you have they can answer.And any extra services I needed like paperwork signed was done immediately.Hopefully you won’t need them but if you do you will not be disappointed with Dr. Rosenblum or his staff their top notch! He did my back surgery 14 years ago! Still going strong. Amazing neurosurgeon not much bedside manner. But when you do that good of a job...WHO CARES!!! O CARES!

He operated on me 5 years ago for a herniated disc and pinched nerve. I felt better immediately after surgery. I have never had an issue with the surgery. He is business like and competent.

Simply put-Dr. Thomas Rosenbaum IS OUTSTANDING in his field. I feel lucky & truly blessed that he has “tuned” me up w/NO problems afterwards, ever...35 & 18 yrs later and still NO problems and/or complaints. He is #1

Back surgery several years ago. Excellent experience with no pain since. Cordial but business like manner.

I went in for an auto accident and he performed surgery. I would recommend everyone who has a spine injury go see this man. He is the best in the region hands down.

I have seen Dr Rosenbaum in the past for my cervical/lumbar stenosis and my spine, he is a very smart man and personally I don’t want to go to another Neurologist. I’m having bad headaches so I’m scheduling to go and see him again shortly and will talk spinal surgery also. He’s thorough and explains everything real well. I trust his judgment. Dr. Rosenbaum is a gifted surgeon. His bedside manner is direct, without chit chat, and all business, but he knows his business well. Suffered from lower back pain for years and on my way to being pain free after having a discecktomy. Dr.Rosenbaum, did two surgeries for me. My last surgery was in 2009. I was pretty much crippled with lower back pain, involving my L-4,L5, lumbar region. The sciatica was excruciating, I could not maneuver at all without feeling pain. He operated with laser surgery. That evening I was able to walk. I went home the next day. Dr Rosenbaum saved me from being paralyzed frm the waist down because of his experience several years ago, I complained about severe back pain most doctors didn't take me seriously, he reviewed the MRI and stated that the dixmsc had ruptured in to the spinal canal, he said 24 to 36 hours before I would become paralyzed, emergency surgery did an amazing job. In 2002 I got lower L5/6 Back surgery from Dr. Rosenbaum and have had a pain free life the past 15 years due to this gifted man. Last month I was rear ended at 60 mph and have a bulging and torn disc @C3-5 I will be seeking his expertise on this injury and it will give me a chance to thank him. He had his Dad assist on my surgery in 02. His family's dedication to pioneering back surgery speaks for itself. Dr Rosenbaum is the best in the business.

Outstanding Surgeon! I wish more medical providers did things like he does. He was kind and communicated in a very direct manner As his patient, you communicate with HIM. Not an RN, MA, PA or anyone else He personally called us back for the consult. I felt like I was in very experienced and confident hands. My surgery was a success and I would highly recommend him to anyone. Thank you Dr. Rosenbaum!

I had an l4/l5 microdiscectomy 8 weeks ago. The surgery was a breeze. Dr Rosenbaum was recommended by several physical therapists. I have made an easy recovery. If you want a touchy, feely doctor you might want to look elsewhere. If you want a skilled surgeon Dr Rosenbaum is the one.

He blessed me more than I could ever tell you and he did it immediately upon knowing I needed see him and get help. No waiting for 2 months for an appointment. He is a bit brisk and does not engage in much small talk, while telling it like it is, but that is ok with me. He is serious Doctor doing serious things. He has since helped many of my Friends who all are doing well and are so appreciative. If you have not had serious nerve back pain.... trust me, it debilitating! I am so thankful to feel well again!
