Dr. Thomas M Rampy

My initial attempts dealing with the office staff were challenging- securing an appointment and a call back after endless messages. After securing an appointment- waiting 6 weeks, the staff called requesting to reschedule another 3 weeks -- I declined and my appointment was intact. I arrived on time at their new office location (which they forgot to mention on any of their appointment reminders) and was asked for my co-pay and a $50 "ADMINISTRATIVE FEE". When I asked what that included-- I was told it covered copying, postage and the time of the office staff to handle any anticipated insurance work on my behalf. Pretty slick uptick- um - no thank you - that's included in billable fees. While I don't mind paying my concierge PCP an annual fee- I'm not handing an extra fee to a physician staff to cover his overhead costs of operation. The office receptionist insisted she told me about this fee- I'm quite sure she didn't == as I would have declined to schedule with any practice

If you want to spend 15 minutes with a doctor who will attempt to collect $500 from you for the privilege of having him review your MRI, this is the place for you.

I was referred to Dr. Rampy by another Dr. of mine who was a patient of Dr. Rampy’s. He told me how Dr. Rampy took his time with him and was very thorough. I agree with that statement 100%. Dr. Rampy was very thorough by going through my past medical records and taking his time to ask and answer any questions I had. I felt confident that I had a good plan of action for my peripheral neuropathy moving forward and/or finding out how I got it to begin with. He correctly diagnosed me after many doctors could not. I owe my life to him. He is very detailed and really listens. I love that he doesn't push just drugs but also suggests vitamins. I am so lucky I came across him, now my husband is needing help and I every bit of confidence he will get it from Rampy!!

Dr. Rampy and Michelle go above and beyond to provide the best care. They truly incorporate the whole picture of medical and emotional care. They make time to discuss all issues and concerns at the appointment. We have a difficult case and never feel rushed or pressured to leave. Being in healthcare for 28 years gives me a good feel for medicine, this is an outstanding practice with a compassionate neurologist and staff. We have nothing but positive things to say! Dr. Rampy is by far the best Neurologist in town! He practices independently in order to be able to provide the highest quality care to his patients without any outside influences. He spends real time and attention on each and every patient, is a great listener and an even better thinker. Dr. Rampy provides expert diagnosis and top of the line management by cooperating with many disciplines to get the best outcome for his patients. His headache, spinal and vestibular patients come to us extremely satisfied with their care with him and well educated about their plan with us. I put it in writing to the medical board. Unthinkable behavior from a person in a position of trust. Look up the upcoming State House Bill 1261 and read the end of it stating for the Public safety. Facts don't lie. I'd stay out of this if I were you.

Dr Rampy has been the best neurologist in my 8 years of Epilepsy (diagnosed at 30) - I met with 3 other neuo's before being referred from another doctor.. I would highly recommend him.. His medical assistant is so friendly is and you're not just a number.. He speaks medical jargon & I kindly asked him to explain for me to understand which he did and made think very clear.. Most doctors feed and react off the patients energy so be honest with him and ask questions and he's easy to talk/listening.

Dr. Rampy's office and my insurance company did not tell me they were not applying my last 2 visits towards my deductible until later, leaving me with the additional out of pocket costs. Although Dr. Rampy offered a small discount, I was still liable for over 91% of the cost of their mistake. He was an ok doctor, would give him a 3.5 in other circumstances. He is one of the best docs I have seen for Neurology. Dr. Rampy takes a larger perspective of the problem and approaches honest and open. Let's be real, a lot of medical problems are not just caused by one thing. It's important to work with your doc, to put pieces together. His office is a little hard to deal with(if I am being honest), they are nice people but whatever their requirements/guidelines for a new apt I have never dealt with anywhere else. Dr. Rampy was recommended to me by my hospital, so I gave him a call. He has always been more kind and more concerned about my health than other neurologist I've seen. I'm always comfortable in his office and would recommend everyone to choose him as their neurologist.

Mr. Rampey has been awful. My mother first saw him for M.S. wanted to gain clarity of a new numbness along her leg that he discounted as being influenced from lower spine weakness and not M.S. HE ALSO discounted her fatigue as possibly a result of Sleep Apnea, that he purely "diagnosed" based on "fat" around my mom's neck. She had mentioned that she had just recently lost 30 pounds in the last two months from a new disciplined paleo diet, which he had NOTHING to say about. Then, my father who has had some seizure issues - yes, mostly related to alcoholism withdrawal - was spoken to multiple times as though he was a child. Instead of supporting lifestyle changes he merely shunned him and said, "if you continue with the Sauce, I'm going to just prescribe more Zonisamide to keep your levels up, because they deplete after a weekend of binge drinking." Finally, while I attended both of these sessions with my parents, I tried to gain clarity and share my perspectives, but he dismissed me anytime that I spoke, saying, "I'll get to that." and never doing so, OR talking over me and simply not acknowledging my presence. My family has been NEGATIVELY affected from experiences with Mr. Rampey. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO SEE HIM. HE WILL OVERPRESCRIBE AND NOT LISTEN TO YOU, NOR ADDRESS YOUR NEEDS AS A WHOLE PERSON... I've been a patient of Dr. Rampy's for 4 years now. I have a tricky/complicated neurological problem. So, I have been to 3-4 docs before I found him. I even went to The University of Colorado - supposedly one of the best clinics for neurology. Simply, you cannot do better than this doc. In looking for a cause of my condition, Rampy thought of and ordered blood tests and a biopsy for easily double the number of possibilities that his predecessors did. In addition to being proactive, smart, and thorough, he has great people skills. I have learned to ask hard questions from my docs. He took them all seriously. He patiently explained options to my satisfaction and even followed through on ideas I presented that he didn't have an immediate answer for. In looking through these reviews, I was shocked to see a totally negative opinion. All I can think of is that you can't make every patient happy every time. I would highly recommend Dr. Rampy as a neurologist! He is incredibly knowledgable, thorough, and personable. His staff is very professional, and they make you feel comfortable. His assistant explains what will happen and what to expect, leaving you to not have wonder or be anxious. My husband and I were very pleased!!
