At each appointment I have found Tom personable, attentive, informative and easy to talk with. As a person with extreme osteoarthritis in both ankles, he has been willing to help me with prolotherapy and PRP. Things are improving and I have more hope than I've had in a long time for even better results. I like doctors who work with the patient instead of acting like I don't know anything about my own body. The staff is very nice too. A lot of positives. Dr. Peterson is brilliant...how would anyone know ankle pain derived from a hip problem which was alleviated by a couple of stretches! Twice for other injuries I have used PRP and it has done the trick. In addition, there is no interminable wait to get in to seem him

I was alerted about Dr. Peterson several years ago when having difficult with my knee. I had been a runner for a short time. I was in my 50s. I hurt my knee hiking down a 2400' mountain. Dr. Peterson used Prolotherapy and shortly I was back running. I had success with PRP therapy for a shoulder injurty. Now at 68 with Dr. Peterson's assistance I am back running again. I highly suggest at least a consult or assessment. Dr. Peterson understands me. He knows how badly I need to move, even at my age. I feel welcome in this office. I and two wives, one deceased, have been treated with great success by Dr. P for nearly 10 years. My late wife, a medical executive, watched him examine me on the first visit and was impressed. He is wonderful in his careful and complete diagnosis. A major major hospital ortho doc wanted to sell me a new shoulder for to arthritic pain. Dr. P said I did have some pain from the arthritis but it was mostly from a years long dislocating shoulder and soft tissue damage. A quick ultrasound exam showed the damage clearly. He injected me with my blood concentrated platelets and it was a complete success and no more pain. He also treated my late and now present wives also with great success. She didn't really need a new hip but was injured in the lower back from a traffic accident. Soft tissue again and no surgery needed. We trust Dr.Peterson!

I first saw Dr. Peterson many years ago after other physicians had put me on crutches and, weeks later, I still had hip pain. Two sessions with Dr. Peterson and I was walking again. I recently saw him again for sciatic pain so bad I was not able to even do laundry. One session with him and I was gardening the next day.

Nothing but good to say!! I've been using Dr. Peterson for injections in various injuries for over 6 years and have continuously recommended his natural treatments to friends and strangers. My highly popular physical therapist and my medical massage therapist both use and refer him too. You won't be disappointed with the results from your treatment. Don't hesitate to just start w an exam and go from there. It's helped my whiplash, sciatica, arthritis and tendonitis. It's recommended to combine w goid N.U.C.C.A. chiropractic during your injection therapies. Raving review here. Heal well!! Nothing but good to say!! Dr Peterson did an amazing job on both myself and my son. I have personally seen Dr Peterson for both shoulders 14 years apart. The first in 2004, I had Prolotherapy which included 3 injections. I was a volleyball coach and had no rotation of my shoulder without excruciating pain. I could feel improvement after each injection which were, I believe at 3 week intervals and I have not had a single problem with that shoulder in over 14 years!!! About 1 month ago I went back to him for pain I was having in my other shoulder from an injury that I sustained that kept me awake at night and an inability to reach up behind me and he said he was certain that Prolotherapy would likely be a good idea or he had another therapy using the platelets in my own blood which I opted to do and after only one injection have noticed a significant improvement. I may go back for another injection "just for good measure" but he did tell me that it would be probably 3 months before it did everything it could! As for my son he was in the summer before his senior year and was a starting pitcher and after the season his shoulder was so injured he could not throw a tennis ball 10 feet, he saw Dr Peterson and did 3 injections of Prolotherapy and was pitching nearly 100mph fastballs his senior season and had not had a problem with his shoulder since that therapy.. I am a firm believer in this therapy and Dr Peterson's ability to administer it!!! My best friend is making an appointment this week to have him evaluate her knee which he tells me he does more knees than shoulders... I am a believer!! 5 STARS!!! I had been suffering from knee and hip joint pain due to past injury and (I hate to say it) age. I had seen several doctors all of whom prescribed cortisone. Cortisone offers short-term relief but is not a long-term solution. I started doing some research and found Dr. Peterson. He prescribed Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy and this non-surgery, non-pharm, treatment that was exactly what I was looking for. PRP is a long term solution where your body is stimulated to heal itself and it was a great procedure for me. I have been able to return to the activities I love. I recommend Dr. Peterson and have been telling everyone about PRP therapy and how much it has helped me. Over 20 years ago, I sprained my ankle. Since that time I have had intermittent pain when walking causing me to limp along until my leg tissues warmed up. My physician at the time told me that the pain was due to "built up scar tissue, " which I would just have to endure. I believed him. It would be especially painful during the winter. I am 72 years old and as I have aged it seemed to get worse. When I met with Dr. Peterson and discovered that in fact there was hope by using prolo treatment, I wanted to cry. Just the thought that I would not have to live with this pain forever was unbelieveable. After only four treatments, I am no longer enduring that ankle pain. I feel like I have died and gone to heaven. Thank God there are people around like Dr. Peterson, someone who clearly "thinks outside the box" and is dedicated to principles that suggest our bodies, given the right treatment, will heal. He deserves 10 stars for his amazing contribution to the medical field. Over 20 years ago, I sprained my ankle. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!!! I was involved in an auto accident in Dec 2015. For over a year I was getting treatment for a severe sacroiliac sprain related to the accident. The joint was hyper-mobile which meant I couldn't walk straight, without a limp or without pain. I could sit or stand for more than about 45 mins at a time. I saw 3 specialists for over a year getting various tests and treatments, including an EMG, oral and steroid injections, LOTS of opiates and a recommendation for surgery to fuse the joint. I was also working with physical therapy for over a year when the therapist assigned to me changed. The new one was an Oregon transplant and saw me 5 times before very bluntly told me that they couldn't do anything with as loose as my SI joint was and HIGHLY recommended prolotherapy, a treatment not covered by medical insurance. The closest provider he was aware of was outside of Portland. I would have gone anywhere to get rid of the daily pain I was in. I did my own research and was thrilled to find Dr. Tom Peterson! He has had about 25 yrs experience in prolotherapy; also very compassionate, doen`t rush his visits, listens and truly cares about his patients. Not only did he agree I was a candidate but he also discovered that my neck had been damaged in the accident as well and my head was crooked on my spine, something that had never been examined in over a year! He sent me to another specialist that thru a series of xrays found I did have an atlas/axis sublixation so my entire spine was also affected. Dr Peterson wouldn't start his treatments until my "head was on straight". He estimated 3 combined treatments of prolotherapy with PRP (Platlet rich plasma) injections into my SI to get it strengthened and stabilized. I was done with "managing" my pain; I wanted the pain "fired"! I did required a couple additional prolo injections, but his estimate was pretty dead on. I was amazed how quickly I got rid of my limp and could walk along the river and the beach again. Dr Peterson's expertise was obvious in my recovery. I am now walking without difficulty, my SI joint is stable and I am off all opiates and OTC pain meds. As a nurse for almost 20 years I recommend looking at ALL options before surgery and Dr Peterson's therapies work! We are lucky to have this specialist with this amount of experience so close to home. I cannot thank him enough. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!!! After 20 years of living with pain from a sprained ankle, and after being told I would just have to "live with the pain that was supposedly due to scar tissue," I discovered Dr. Peterson. After only four prolo treatments, I was pain free. If you are looking for a physician who is professional, knowledgeable about alternatives to traditional medicine, treats his patients and staff with respect and care, and is very responsive and timely in accepting new patients, give a call to Dr. Peterson.

As a pre-medical student I have spent several months shadowing Dr. Peterson. I have seen first hand several of the treatments that he provides include prolotherapy, platelet rich plasma therapy (PRP), and osteopathic manual therapy. Patients have been very satisfied with the treatments they receive. In addition, Dr. Peterson is an exceptional teacher, not only to myself as someone pursing the medical field, but also to his patients.

After sustaining a fall on my left hip, I began experiencing back pain (SI joint) that escalated to the point where I couldn't sit for more than ten seconds and I was in constant discomfort. Over two years I saw many doctors and tried many therapeutic interventions (all of which were covered by my insurance plan), and none of which made any appreciable difference. With a referral from my physical therapist (Robyn Pester), I reluctantly scheduled my first appointment for prolotherapy with Dr. Peterson. I wasn't optimistic and I worried about the efficacy of the treatment method. The results were significant and after five treatments it was clear that this modality was having a huge effect. A year after I began treatment, I was able to able to work a full day without needing to lay down, able to drive my car, sit in a restaurant, walk, bicycle, hike, climb and enjoy an active lifestyle. Dr. Peterson's treatments saved the quality of my life - and I will always be grateful for his intervention. By the way... prolotherapy was the ONLY treatment that my insurance (BCBS/Providence) did not cover and it was the ONLY treatment that worked! I have seen Dr. Tom numerous times over the past 4 years. I have had increasingly deteriorating shoulders ligaments and torn ligaments in my pelvic region and issues with my thumbs. Dr. Tom explained ProLo therapy and later PRP. He has a no nonsense approach that I find refreshing. First time I could barely stand up because of pain in my hips. Dr. Tom treated it with ProLo therapy. The process and recovery was exactly as he described. It was like a miracle for me and remains so to this day. I had same procedure done on the lower area of my thumb. It worked. ProLo didn't work on my shoulders....Different issues, so In April/2012 the pain was bad enough that I decided to do PRP, Platelet Rich Plasma. This procedure helped me significantly. I have had 3 more treatments over the past 18 months and the treatment seems to be cumulative as there is much less discomfort. I will be continuing with PRP. It is miraculous! Noting the reviewer who obviously has not seen Dr. Tom, pay no mind to these ignorant comments. I have seen Dr. Tom numerous times over the past 4 years. I've seen Dr. Peterson over 2 years time for 3 different problems. One of the 3 was simply to remove stitches. The others concerned chronic knee pain, and pain all over my back and neck. His approaches to the knee and back problems were so simple, and involved so little pain, and yet were so rapidly effective, that I was startled. Besides, he's a really enjoyable person. All this led to my being pretty consistently early for appointments with him. Without question I strongly recommend Dr. Peterson to anyone who has any injury, condition etc. that he treats. when I first came to Dr. Peterson, I was in severe chronic pain in the right side of my body for well over a year. It had worsened as the days went on. I went from running half marathon , taking full day hikes, to not being able to pull my leg foreword by the middle of the day.I could no longer work due to the disabling pain, and not to mention the mental stress of navigating the medical world. Finding out what was wrong with me became a full time job. I had seen a handful of surgeons and specialist, handed buckets of pain pills with no diagnosis or relief in site. After spending only 15 minutes with Dr. Peterson, he told me that I have a ligament injury in my right hip. He was right! After only one injection of prolo therapy and PRP, I was on the road to recovery and even taking long walks after only 3 weeks. Over a course of 3 treatments I am almost 100% .Dr. Peterson is a blessing. He is confident and has genuine concern. I consider him as a friend and someone I can wholeheartedly trust. Paula, his office specialist gets 5 stars as well. These people are my family now. I am grateful beyond words for the gift that Dr. Peterson has given me. He saved my life. I have hope again when I almost ran out of it. Thank you. On to the next adventure!! when I first came to Dr. Peterson, I was in severe chronic pain in the right side of my body for well over a year. I was referred to doctor peterson by my acting physcian after little improvement had been made after 18 months of physical therapy and massage therapy treatments for a right hip/low back lifting injury sustained at work. The injury had vexed to cause numerous other body aches and pains and i wanted to engage in very little physical activity at the time. During my first appointment/clinical exam Dr Peterson found what no one else had looked for and provided me with an updated condition pertaining to my neck. He laid out a new treatment plan that day that effectively got me back to performing physical work and activity that I had begun to not believe possible, my treatment time was appr. 7 months. I have seen Dr. Peterson for an initial evaluation and five subsequent treatments. Both of my shoulders were injured in a car accident; I had seen two orthopedic physicians and a physical therapist for a year. In spite of the these efforts my shoulders were not getting much better, with no long term prognosis of any real recovery. Dr. Peterson was very caring, took the time to evaluate the injury and took the time to explain the options. The most important part is he listens and doesn't rush or talk over his patients. He prescribed platelet rich plasma injections which have been very beneficial. I am now looking to a very promising prognosis to substantial recovery for both of my shoulders. Thank You Dr. Peterson!
