About Dr. Thomas G Mordick II
Reviews for Dr. Thomas G Mordick II
Dr. Mordick has a wonderful bedside manor. He made me feel important, worthy of his time and comfortable. 10/10 would return if his services were needed.
Dr. Mordick performed a carpal tunnel release for my left hand/wrist about 3 weeks ago. He did a fantastic job and it's healing beautifully. He's the rare surgeon who's also a really lovely person - he's kind and caring and it's so appreciated.
Terrible, he'll see you for about 10 minutes, won't look at you, make his opinions and move on. My nerve conduction test was 53 points. He needs it to be 50 or lower. I still have numbness and pain. It's like talking to a robot, his "bedside manner" is trash and he needs to just retire. Please, please go elsewhere.

Dr Mordick and his team have been great throughout my treatment and Dr Mordick called me the day after surgery to see how I was doing.
Visit was good and I got good relief from Dr Mordick's care. He has good expertise and listened to what I was saying. The parking garage and entrance to the office was confusing though.

Very knowledgeable
Awesome, to the point, gave valuable information.
This is one of the best visits I’ve had in a long time. Dr. Mordick Is knowledgeable, comforting, with a great “bedside manner.”
Dr Mordick is the Man!!! And every staff member I met follow suit in every way!! Super wonderful people and they all laugh at my jokes... and that is always a plus in my book!! My carpal surgery and my trigger finger surgery went smooth as silk and I am scheduling my other hand. I feel very comfortable having Dr Mordick work his magic on me!!! Great place! Tell all your friends!!!

My experience with Dr Mordick was not ideal. I went in with what I believed to be ligament issues of the right wrist and he insisted on X-rays, even though I knew this issue wasn't skeletal. So that cost about $200. Then after evaluating the X-rays (which were of course "normal") he poked around my wrist and looked me straight in the eye and said "I dont know why your wrist hurts you". Total waste of time and money. Its been 4 years and I still have wrist pain.

I had zero waiting in the waiting room. I went straight to x-ray and Dr Mordick was waiting for me when I returned. He was very thorough evaluating my hand injury and reviewing my x-ray. Overall I was very satisfied with Dr Mordick and everyone else in the office. I appreciated the rapid but very detailed evaluation, and I was in and out in 25 mins, thankfully with nothing more than a sprained finger. I had zero waiting in the waiting room. Dr Mordick knew exactly what my issue was immediately and spent the time reassuring and informing me about it.
Dr. Mordick and Melissa at Western Ortho are professional and helpful. It was a pleasure being around talented people who care for their patient.

Very efficient and professional.
Excellent service provider- surgery and after-care. Exceeded expectations.
Dr Mordick was friendly, efficient, thorough and straight to the point.
I was very pleased with my total experience. Excellent care from all staff.
Thorough, competent, listened, solved my problem. Had been recommended by two independent sources. Now he has mine.
The whole procedure was very professionally handled with care and attention to me as the patient.
On time, Polite. He called me the next day to check on me. Yes he did himself not a nurse or a computer
Dr Mordick is very personable, explained my options and is an experienced hand surgeon. My recovery from surgery is going very, very well!
Dr Mordick was thorough with his exam, and very clear with his diagnosis and instructions for care. I was impressed with the efficiency of the appointment!
Dr. Mordick II was very knowledgeable and professional. Dr. Mordick gave me two different options before suggesting surgery. Everything moved very quickly and efficiently.
He was quick to the point and got me in surgery to fix my issue extremely fast. Just awaiting for cast recovery now. I love his style. Dr. Mordick replaced the joint in both of my thumbs - at different times. He and his Physical Therapist, Melissa, are a great team for Hand Surgery and recovery. Within just a few weeks after surgery, I was good as new! I would recommend them to anyone seeking a great surgeon and recovery team who are smart, competent, and kind people who are enjoyable to be around to boot. I referred myself to Dr. Mordick after breaking my hand, and I've had a pretty quick run at recovery since. After diagnosis, he was able to schedule me for surgery just two days later, and every appointment since then has been super quick and convenient. I've seen a few reviews that some folks don't feel like he spends enough time with them, but I honestly don't get that. He's quick, efficient, answers my questions, and we move on. He doesn't waste either of our time with small talk, which I appreciate. If you're lonely, get a pen pal. If you broke something, get a Dr. Mordick. First time seeing Doctor Mordick. Seemed concerned about my elbow and forearm tendon issues. Gave me an injection but doesn’t seem like it is going to work. He said it could take up to two weeks. It’s going on two weeks now.
Dr. Mordick has treated both of my hands for carpal tunnel decompression. He was careful, thorough, and explained everything. After the first carpal tunnel release I got 2 trigger fingers which he successfully treated with cortisone injections. I have just recently had my other hand treated for carpal tunnel and I wouldn't think of anyone else to treat my hand. I am also a nurse, and he was quick to switch from "lay" jargon to professional jargon, which I appreciated very much. The staff is efficient and helpful. I have absolutely no complaints. A little over a year ago, I went to my doctor with what I thought was a sprained wrist. She took one look and called Dr. Mordick at Western Orthopaedics to see if she could send me over immediately to get a cast put on. Even though it was late on a Friday afternoon and Dr Mordick was just about to leave for the weekend, he stayed late to see me, and get my wrist set. I will always be grateful for the kindenss and attention I received from Dr Mordick and his staff. I don't think many doctors would delay the start of their weekend like he did. I am very grateful.
When a patient is desperately seeking solution to a problem and takes the time to see a specialist the expectation is not to hear “sorry - can’t help you there”. Typically the expectation is - “let’s try and figure out what’s wrong”. Time and money wasted. Thanks Doc. I guess some drs are looking for easy cases to make a buck
I was referred to dr mordick by a doctor. The first appointmeny he gave me what I believe was a cordazone shot in the palm of my hand. Did not work. Trigger finger. Next he did a small surgery on my right hand . I was awake and it took 15 minutes. The trigger is gone for now but the tall finger on my right hand will not stand up Straight. He said my left hand would be more complicated. I was put out and the surgery lasted about one and one half hours. I went to rehab twice and they made me a splint and demonstrated the exercises I should do and gave me 3 pages of instructions which I diligently did. One of my fingers is distorted on my left hand. I went to dr mordick assuming he would correct it. After this surgery my whole forearm and hand were badly bruised. When I saw dr mordick he was extremely rude and said “I can’t do anything for you and it’s better then it was”. He then stared me down with a cold stare. My hand is deformed. I held up my hand and said “are you proud of this surgery”. He continued to stare mr down and I left. I would NEVER recommend this “hand surgeon “ to my worst enemy! I think very highly of Dr Mordick in my time I've had numerous orthopedic surgeries and I'm familiar with many of the orthopedic docs in central Denver. After suffering from carpal tunnel pain for 16 years Dr Nagamani (also 5 stars) referred me to Mordick. Two easy surgical procedures later I have been pain free for several years; he also keeps my arthritic thumbs pain free AND my recently fractured wrist is healing well- thanks Dr Mordick. From being diagnosed to helping with my surgical needs, Dr. Mordick reassured me every step of the way. His team of professionals treated me with quality care. Very good experiences and recommend. This particular office location can be hard to find open parking spaces in the garage. I recommend parking side street and giving yourself time to make it up to the offices. Dr. Mordick had zero compassion towards my healing and complications after surgery. I was just another wrist. Which is a shame because I had previously seen Dr. Traina and his assistant Andrew for knee surgery, who I have nothing but excellent things to say about. Being that I had great success at Western Orthopedics with Dr. Traina, I chose to go with Dr. Mordick. That was a mistake!! I have since got a second opinion and will be going with the new doctor going forward with the removal of the plate Dr. Mordick placed in my wrist. I do NOT recommend Dr. Mordick! This physician doesn't spend more than 5 minutes with any one patient - both visits I had with him were extremely rushed. He had scheduled 5 other individuals to be seen in the same hour as myself on the second visit. Besides being very short, his manner sucks. He basically said since I wasn't a candidate for surgery because my symptoms weren't bad enough and my test scores on my EMG were so minuscule that he couldn't do anything for me. He refused to fill out a form I needed for a claim.
