Dr. Thomas Dwight Mino II

Wife and daughter went a different direction a while back and now I am. He's conceded and thrives when he gets his way. Doesn't like to be challenged, even when discussion comes from a pt who is a medical professional themselves and is familiar with the rules and regulations of healthcare. I'm so sorry to have defended him in the past. He's a puppet, an armchair provider that is best suited for only the basics. Anything more, I recommend getting a second opinion. Don't be fooled by his smile and polished appearance. Office staff and environment were great, will greatly miss them!

After 10 weeks, 2 ER visits, 1 Urgent Care visit, and a specialist appointment we were exhausted as a family and as parents and saw Dr. Mino and he listened to us from beginning to end. He gave us alternative medicines (magic mouthwash) to try to get my 3 year old daughter's pain under control to better her quality of life. He talked to us for a while about everything we had been through and his approval for my request of a second opinion when it came to the ENT specialist. 3 hours after our appointment and his suggestions my daughter ate some solid food for the first time in 5 days. We left relieved and reassured that we were doing everything we could and despite the ENT stating my daughter had to live in pain for 6 months, he clarified it was the requirement of the specialist and after looking at my daughter's enlarged tonsils. He said it wouldn't be difficult for our second opinion to decide the best choice would be to remove her tonsils and not live that way for 6 months. As parents we were relieved and were enlightened by our visit. We will see him again and again. We drove 3 hours to see him and are so happy we did.

Dr. Mino is amazing. He is knowledgeable in many areas and is a no nonsense doctor who is very honest with you. He has helped me get my triglycerides down for the first time in 25 years.

First off, Dr. Mino is NOT just a workman's comp doctor. He is actually my primary care physician and has been for some time now. One of the issues I read about in the other reviews was people not understanding what his job is....... and that is to try and help fix whatever your medical issue is, but that isn't too be confused with a specialist in the medical field. What I mean by that is, if your in need of a mental therapist or phycologist, then your in need of a specialist. I Googled academic books on what they must know to be that type of doctor and seeing just ONE of the books that are required had me literally say out loud, "holy s**t!". Why? Because the book was between 5 and 6 inches thick. The other point I'd like to make is...... and this may offend some, is that his time is limited, he doesn't have time too give you a shoulder to cry on like a therapist does. Like literally, there's appointment all day long, so he can't spend extra time with one patient just to screw over the next. Just because his bedside manner doesn't coddle you doesn't mean he's not a great doctor. Hell, I'm a general contractor to whom I mainly cater to high end home owners and my work speaks for itself. BUT, I have almost zero tact, am very blunt, and swear often (but never at customers obviously). This is why I have someone who does all my customer service as well as my marketing.... cause I suck at that part, as well as don't have the time. Which has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of my work, which is also why I can stand behind my customer satisfaction guarantee that is one of the longest ANY contractor offers. What I won't do is waste your money, by having you tell me how you think a job should be done cause you have been watching the DIY network for two weeks straight and feel your input is relevant. It isn't, only what you design idea is. If my engineer says it's possible and you like the 3-D computer representation of the end result then work begins. But every time I stop to talk to you other than the quarterly updates means the longer my guys are unsupervised and the longer the job takes. Or maybe he just didn't like you cause you googled the problem, treatment, and solution and it seemed like you were trying to tell him how to do his job. Everybody hates that, including doctor's. He is rude, condescending, and is one of the reasons so many good people have left this practice. He apparently can't read a chart and couldn't be bothered to ask questions before summarily dismissing me.

Dr Mino is completely unprofessional and will treat you like you are stupid. My boyfriend had to see him as his workman's comp doctor and we were very unsatisfied at his lack of tact, sensitivity, and overall demeanor. He doesn't take the time to actually listen to anyone or answer questions. I realize he was just a workman's comp doctor, but he is reckless when it comes to releasing people back to full duty way before they are even healed and ready to go.... Dr. Mino reminds me of my childhood family doctor in small town Kansas. He is positive and helpful, his easy going personality makes uncomfortable visits more light hearted with positive communication.

Dr. Mino, Spends more time with me than any other Dr. I’ve had. He takes time to ask questions and answers them completely. He seems to care about at least this patient. I can always get into see him. Even on same day appointments. I highly recommend this doctor. I’m thinking the people with bad reviews were looking for meds or Doctor shopping based on the reviews.

In my experience, Dr minnow was a very insensitive and uncaring doctor.

Easy to talk to, by the book, friendly, knowledgeable, pleasant. Scheduling staff is also very friendly and professional.

He is flippent when asked questions. He certainly makes sure you know that you are the patient and HE IS THE DOCTOR.
