Dr Dempsey was very thorough, professional, and knowledgeable. He discovered cataracts and set the consultation procedure wheels in motion, which saved me much anxiety and aggravation. Thank you Dr Dempsey.

In May 2018 I had a routine annual eye exam with Dr. Dempsey. At that time he diagnosed me with a "jelly floater" and assured me it would dry up and drift down below my vision - within a year. He never suggested any follow-up visits to monitor progress. One year later it's still there; I see a different eye doc for a 2nd opinion and find out that I actually have an aggressive cataract that has mushroomed. I wasted a YEAR waiting for what Dempsey said was no big deal and would go away. Turns out - even if he was correct and it was only a jelly floater - he should have been seeing me every 1-3 MONTHS for follow-up visits to ensure everything was OK. This is an egregious oversight on Dempsey's part. I trusted him and not only was he wrong but even if he was right - he didn't do what was right for care of my vision. I will never recommend him to anyone; same goes for both locations of his entire practice. He is NOT a doctor to be trusted.

We trust Dr Dempsey with our eyes and have for 15 years! He's seen us through both routine eye care and random emergencies. No matter what is going on he's always profession, caring, and friendly. As an added plus, he has a calm, helpful office staff.

I had a sudden redness and extreme pain in my right eye. Had other facial pain also. Made urgent appt. with Dr Dempsey and he told me to come right in. He examined me and sent me straight to an Ophthalmologist as part of Hartford Hospital and asked for ENT consult and MRI. He had accurately diagnosed orbital cellulitis, which can be fatal. I was admitted to Hartford Hospital and placed on numerous super antibiotics and steroids IV. Turns out I also had Pseudomonus. He saved my life, literally.
