Have not had my surgery yet, just the consultation, but Dr. Bloom was very conscientious about how I was handling (or not handling) the exam. Yes, it was difficult for me because of the bright light needed to do the exam. All the staff was patient and caring. I spoke with one of the doctors at another eye clinic today while I was there with an elderly neighbor, and was told that if he wasn't available, he wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr. Bloom. I feel better already and my surgery is still 2 months away!

I wish it was possible to give less than 1 star, but I cannot on this system. My horrible experience with cataract surgery was in December 2018. The day after surgery I could not see anything, as during the surgery a mistake was made. The outcome left me nearly blind in one eye for weeks. I needed to go the the Eye Institute for corrective surgery to repair what went wrong during the cataract surgery. Since I signed his required surgical release, it was all on me to pay thousands out of my own pocket for the corrective surgery after paying for a bad cataract surgery. No other professional can get away with that.......think about having your car repaired and the repair man does 3x's as much damage to your car and sends you to another repair shop to fix what he broke and you get to pay for it all! That is what happened with my cataract surgery. Now eight months later and my eye is not back to where it was before the first surgery.

After 24 hours following cataract surgery on my second eye, I woke up able to see without glasses! I have had the most incredible experience and result. Dr. Bloom is a miracle worker. He is accessible at all times, and it is a pleasure to have someone like Dr. Bloom operate on one's most precious asset, your eyes. His office staff is helpful and pleasant, and going through the process form beginning to end has only been a positive experience. Highly recommend!!

Excellent physician. Whatever hesitation I had prior to my cataract surgery, Dr. Bloom put me at ease. I would recommend Dr. Bloom to anyone with eye concerns.

Had cataract surgery in late 2018, After surgery I lost nearly all sight in the eye. A month later my eyesight is 20x' s worse than it was with the cataract (I need to wear a patch over that eye and function with my other eye that has a cataract for everything) . I am reminded that I signed a surgical waiver and - it is not his problem. Now I am referred to a high priced eye surgical specialist to repair the eye. During that surgery the two surgeons could not believe what was left in my eye.

Dr. Bloom was very through in explaining my newly diagnosed glaucoma. He told me what glaucoma was and why I have it and how he was going to treat it. He took an extra amount of time which is what I needed to explain thing to me. I would highly recommend Dr. Bloom and his office!

I have a complicated health history and I see Dr. Bloom annually to help monitor my eye health. He is very good at explaining the health of my eyes and is always thorough in his answers to my questions. Several years ago my husband and I both had lasik surgery and Dr. Bloom did a great job. Both procedures were successful and are counted among the best things we have done for ourselves.

Dr. Bloom performed cataract surgery on both of my eyes -- one month apart. The surgery went perfect and my eyes healed quickly and nicely with no complications. Dr. Bloom consulted with me prior to the surgery and prepared me for what was to come. Post surgery he gave me a complete eye exam, instructions on medication and scheduled additional post surgery follow-ups. The entire process could not have gone better! I give Dr. Bloom an A+ and would recommend him to anyone.

I saw Dr. Bloom for what I thought was an emergency. My regular, Dr. Fabric, was out of town. My eye was all bloody red. Dr. Bloom's office got me in right away. Everyone: the receptionist, the nurse, and Dr. Bloom were so nice!! I was reassured that my eye would be fine, and it is. I was scared and Dr. Bloom took the time I needed to make me feel better. I am pleased that I see Dr. Fabric and now Dr. Bloom if needed.

I had been looking to have cataract surgery for a while. A friend had Dr. Bloom do his cataract surgery and was very happy with their results. I found it easy to make an appointment. The staff was very kind and helpful. The procedure was explained to me and all my questions were answered. The procedure was easy and everyone at the hospital was wonderful. I am extremely happy with my results and would highly recommend Dr. Bloom and his office.

Dr. Bloom is the best!! He did cataract surgery on both eyes in December 2018. My vision is the best it has been my whole life. Dr. Bloom and his staff answered all of my questions and walked me through the whole procedure. No problems. Everything explained. Very professional. I would recommend this office to anyone considering cataract surgery.

I had Cataract surgery in both eyes in late 2018 from Dr. Bloom and I am extremely pleased with the outcome. I had no complications at all, and I see better than I ever have in my life. I felt that Dr. Bloom was an excellent surgeon and gave very good follow up care. I am so grateful to him for giving me the gift of good eyesight.

Dr. Bloom is courteous, friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. He takes time to answer my questions and explain things thoroughly.

I can't tell you what a wonderful experience I had with Dr. Bloom and his staff. I had cataract surgery on both eyes over about 6 week time frame. The staff was courteous and helpful. Dr. Bloom was fantastic. Everything was carefully explained before and after surgery. I left the operations with both verbal and detailed written instructions which was a big help. Dr Bloom is a rare combination of kindness and professionalism. I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience.

My cataract surgery was an excellent experience. Dr Bloom has given me my sight back free from corrective lenses. The colors are brilliant. As far as an eye surgeon he is certainly one of the best! Dr. Bloom & his staff could not have been nicer. My eye care is in expert hands with Dr. Bloom. Yours can be too!

I am very happy with my visit to Dr. Bloom and his staff. I was seen for a routine eye exam and to replace my glasses. Everyone was very kind and explained things as they went along. Dr. Bloom took the time to answer all my questions. He was very nice and well dressed. I was in the office for about one hour and then conveniently was able to get my glasses across the hall at Shorewood Opticians. I would definitely recommend Dr. Bloom to my friends and family.

Dr Bloom is perhaps a master of efficacy. He is thorough and complete in every aspect of his office visits and hospital surgery. If your looking for someone to have a lengthy converstion with, he is not the doctor for you. But if you are in search of an excellent eye dr & surgeon who explains everything, then this is your guy.

There are never enough kind words that I can say about Dr. Thomas Bloom. I've been his patients for about 15 years. I was sent to him when a different doctor didn't properly diagnosed me. Dr. Bloom is a kind, patient and understanding Doctor. He always address my concerns without hesitation. He is direct, and clearly explains things for you to understand. Like someone else posted. He is excellent at performing a 15 minutes cataract surgery. I would not switch him for anything.

Worst doctor ever. Full of himself. He thinks he is way to good for his patients does not care at all about his patients.

Dr. Bloom is a kind man who truly wants the best for his patients. He is knowledgable, respectful, and patient. He focused on cataract surgery, which he is able to carefully complete within 15 mins on average. He creates a comforting atmosphere before, throughout, and after the surgery, and is clear when giving post-operation directions for the best surgery results. I am very glad I went to Dr. Bloom and would recommend him to all family and friends! He makes it all so simple :)
