Thomas A Bergman

Super racist old white physician. Went to Hennepin with my mother for her back pain and overheard him outside the room say "you know how Somalians complain more than Ethiopians." He makes judgments about his patients based purely on their country of origin. I asked my cousin who works at Hennepin and apparently Dr. Bergman has had multiple complaints about his racist behavior, but of course nothing was ever done. Do not go to this doctor.

I have had 1 visit with dr.bergmann and I think he listens to your problems and he doesn't rush through it. I really like him so far as a doctor.

I went in,in severe chronic pain,suffering 5months from a traumatic brain and spinal cord injury. Dr. Berman, seen and felt my pain,I was to the point to were,I was unable to used my hands,and falling,by nerve pain was so unbearable. My surgery is now a year old. The cervical spine fusion was a success. Now I dealing with another issue,my neurologist told me today,that I need to go see my surgeon. So,I will be speaking with Dr Bergman again,He is an awesome outstanding surgeon

Dr Bergman was awesome with my previous surgeries but I need another major spine surgery and told he is still practicing but Iast year inic saud he retired??]plz I need a good 2nd opinion.

I truly love Dr Thomas Bergman. He was always polite and made me feel completely comfortable and at ease in 2013 when he performed a 7 hour successful brain surgery on me. I woke up after that surgery not even knowing that I already had the surgery done smiling and instantly trying to do everything on my own a lot of doctors were surprise how I responded to the surgery. Also in 2015 Dr Bergman and his lovely neurology team performed a success neck surgery on me. I will forever be greatful and thankful Dr Thomas Bergman. Also before I had my 1 surgery done in 2013 I had 3 Dr opinions and google and did my research on each Dr and “Dr Thomas Bergman” WON ME OVER.... He is a blessing! Dr Bergman has been my surgeon for many years. I have confidence because he always repairs the problem. I have had 3 different surgeries. He makes me feel comfortable

He performed successful l4-5 fusion. Highly recommended and he performed according... I’m a Difficult patient do to several spinal issues/procedures from previous a surgeon in Ohio.

Never returned my calls,did not respond at all.

I had two fusions with Dr. Bergman at the same time C2 and C3and C5and C6. The bottom fusion did not heal properly so now I have to have it re-done and fix the new damage that was caused from this botched surgery. I will most definitely seek a better surgeon next time! Also this was a work comp injury and Dr. Bergman would not help me and admit that the damage was caused from my injury! Without the doctor admitting that the damage came from my work injury I was stuck with the bill myself through my own insurance. The proof was in my two MRIs and it was obvious but Dr. Bergman chose not to help me because it would require more time of his if he were to get subpoenaed. He said he’s here to help people, well he did not help me! He only made matters worse! Thank you very much Dr. Bergman! I will never refer you to anybody nor do I ever want to see you again! Dr. Bergman is very competent and conservative. I was extremely pleased with the results of the microdiscectomy procedure he performed on my back. I continue to highly recommend him to others!

I have had two appointments, plus surgery with the Doctor, and I could not be more pleased. My surgery went very well, and the care by the Dr's Team and hospital staff was outstanding. Everyone I know has already heard my favorable assessments of the Doctor, and the Hospital.

I had a ACDF procedure done through Dr. Bergman M.D and Eric DeCuir PA-C. Both of them were great! Very knowledgeable, helpful, and most important as good as you will find at their craft. They are in high demand and rightfully so, but it was well worth the slight extra wait to get to work with them. I was extremely nervous prior to surgery. Any situation involving the spinal cord is nerve racking , but rest assured you are in great hands with these pros. Simply top-notch!

He has completely ignored my son's need for surgery on his Spondylolisthesis L5/S1. Six months after the original scheduled date...still nothing. Now extremely suicidal- chronic pain 24/7. Keep feeding him pain meds,etc for the numerous side effects...numbness in hands, legs and feet, joint pain, fractured foot from trying to offset the back pain, sleeplessness, depression...unable to work or have any kind of normal life. Unbelievable! Dr is not God...as he thinks!

I've had 2 successful surgeries with Dr. Berman and like everything about his practice. Other doctors speak very highly of him.

Dr Bergman ,has been a very caring ,dr very thoroughly with everything he does. I highly recommend him to others needing a neurosurgeon.

Not only did he fail to accurately diagnose my condition, but he genuinely didn't give a hoot about me as a person. It seemed like he just wanted me to leave asap and seemed perfectly content with saying I don't know. You should try someone else. Completely unhelpful and a waste of my time and money.

Dr. Bergman explained my tumors to me in a way that was easy to understand, he's very down to earth, honest and likable. He is a brilliant doctor, very experienced, and my favorite doctor of all I've ever been treated by!
