Dr. Thomas Joseph Abbenante

This practice is incredibly unprofessional and outright incompetent. Office staff is incapable of providing information to insurance in a timely manner or at all, often lying that they've submitted, when insurance has zero record. A simple prior auth to process & fill a prescription takes weeks, and multiple requests not only from the patient, but also from the pharmacy & the insurance company. Dr Abbenante seems to view the practice as a hobby, working two partial days a week. He is apparently unavailable to patients or even his own staff outside of that time. He does not respond to multiple requests for a call back. Go anywhere else.

I was unable to attend my sleep study test due to Dr Abbenante not completing all requirements by my insurance co. 4 voicemail messages and 2 phone conversations later, I was assured a call back both times. It's been a month. Nothing, Nothing at all. Incredibly unprofessional. Its unbelievable he can run a business like this.

Didn't call in my prescription and now I can't get ahold of anyone

First doc I ever met that took time to listen to me. He asked me more questions about my condition than all the other doctors I prior combined. He didn't assume anything when he walked in the room. Took time to introduce himself to me and get to know me. I have never had an experience like this. I don't remember where he went to medical school but they certainly graduated a higher caliber of physician in many ways. Unfortunately, I don't live in the area or I would ask for Dr A to be my primary!

I went to st marys walk-in for an issue I was having. Dr Abbenante was very observant in finding a very serious problem that I had that I was totally unaware of. He was very friendly and is very knowledgeable. I would recommend him to anyone.
