EXCUSES - POOR QUALITY OF CARE - POOR REFERRAL SYSTEM - VERY DISORGANIZED and LACK PATIENT COMMUNICATION 4 months, 2 appt, and 15 calls to get referrals. It was so bad I just made another appt with the NP Misty Stevens, because Dr Bliss could not be bothered to call me back to help the case along. They lose paperwork, medical records, and medical release forms often. Some staff will follow up if you complain enough and most will be fairly offended that you have the nerve to be upset it's taking months. Today was my 16th call in. When I asked about referral timelines, his medical assistant told me, "You know we do have other patients and other people that need referrals." I said, four months? Her response changed to focus that she did not have the records when in fact she did because other care was dependent on those exact medical records. I asked her how that was and she could not share why. Be sure to read the reviews. Yes he is nice and does listen, like all Doctors should, but if you need follow up care outside of that appointment, you are out of luck. I still can't get my lab results from 4 months ago that were done in office. PS If you must work with this office and Dr. Bliss, just press option 1. If you wait in cue for the other lines, expect to wait a MINIMUM of 30 min. One day I waited on hold over an 90 minutes only to be kicked into their automated answering service right at 4:59pm!

2 stars only because Dr. Bliss himself is great. However, you can't get an appointment with him for months and are forced to be seen by a mid-level provider. My wife recently switched to this office as her PCP. The care was sub-optimal. She had lab work ordered. The blood work was fine although it took a couple of weeks to be contacted about the results even though the results were back in a few days. Another lab test "wasn't able to be ran" and was reordered. The Lab person reissued the supplies and stated to us "try not to mess it up this time". Result of the second sample? "It couldn't be ran because you (as in my wife) overfilled the container". Has there been any follow up blood work to see if the abnormalities in the first set are correcting? Nope. Some person called with the "results" of her cardiac monitor testing but couldn't answer any questions and didn't identify themselves anyway. I had her switch to Dr. Bliss' office because of my experience with him as MY PCP. I totally regret it now. He isn't to blame and if we could see him, our experience would most likely have been much better. But the nurse practitioner we dealt with seemed uninterested or didn't believe her, the lab personnel was rude, the Laboratory they use for testing seems atrocious and incapable of performing their actual job, and scheduling is a nightmare.

Dr Bliss is an excellent doctor. I never feel hurried and he really listens to what we have going on with our health.

Dr. Bliss was wonderful. Spent time explaining my problem and treated me accordingly. It was my first visit with Dr. Bliss and I went away feeling very confident and thankful Dr. Phoenix referred him to me.

Dr Bliss is a professional. I’m glad my friend recommended that I go to him when I was doctor shopping. I’m very impressed.

I am a new patient of Dr. Bliss and he is great! He listens to concerns & is very open minded to how the patient feels. Glad I switched to him. 1st time in quite a while I actually felt like a doctor was listening & going to do their best in my health care.

Thanks for your help this place is awesome

The nurses as well as Doctor Bliss and the lady in the lab are all very courteous and polite, each one performs their duties very professionally. I mention them to others in need of a good Doctor and staff. Also the girls at the check-in desk are very through as well.

He asked great questions and listened when my other doctors didn’t and order tests to make sure something wasn’t missed by other doctors and I am so glad he did because we found the issues and I feel so much better!

The absolute worst experience of my life! I drive over 45 minutes to be seen by Dr. Bliss and his staff. Never again!

Dr Bliss listens, cares, is a top notch doctor.

Dr. Bliss listens to concerns and takes into consideration treatment options and discusses those in depth for both my understanding and for agreement in next steps which is appreciated.

I got this on my text asking me to rate had appt yesterday and as always wonderful visit..He is a very nice and good doctor and have been with him since residency and 2 Accension care clinic. In my opinion hes the best and why Let me say he is easy to talk to, caring trust worthy and has pulled me through some health challenges and all looks good now.. I take what he says i need to do seriously and made changes. So trust is most important element in doctor and patient encounters. The specialist he has sent me too have been good.. Highly recommend him and have..cant think of anything negative. Always on time and office staff is efficent....God bless Dr Bliss and continue care from him in this journey in my life praying its many years left.. Excellent doctor and years with.He is always happy and laughs and i put my life in Gods care and God put Dr.Bliss with my care. Never a wait and staff friendly.. Trust is important and he has mine...He makes appointments joy hes not grumpy. God bless him...

When we had to switch from Utica Park Jenks (so sad to leave) we chose Dr. Bliss because of his sports medicine experience. Our daughter was a gymnast and was having serious back pain. He found that she had a lower back fracture and set her up for success. Recently, he was awesome with trying to help us figure out what was going on with her heart rate. First of all, I think Dr. Bliss is an amazing doctor. I am sad to have to find another doctor. He was always attentive, caring, never in a rush. He made me feel like I was his only concern of the day. That’s why it bothers me to leave, however I no longer have the patience to tolerate his staff. I have the same medication prescribed every month and it is extremely frustrating to go back and forth between the pharmacy and his staff to get it refilled. I know it’s not the pharmacy they have showed me the requests that are sent to his office. Each time I call the office to follow up I’m met with the attitude that I’m inconveniencing someone and on several occasions have felt outright lied to. This has been going on for more than a year and I’m finally done. The only reason I’ve lasted this long is because of Dr. Bliss. It genuinely saddens me to lose him as my doctor but I’m beyond frustrated. I’ve been trying to get this prescription refilled for almost two weeks now. Dr Bliss is a top provider. He’s one of the best docs I have been seen. I’m so thankful for him and all his staff. His PA’s are first class as well.

My wife and I started new with Dr. Bliss DO after our other Dr changed to admin. Duties. Dr. Bliss was very friendly and genuine. He listened to or list of health history and concerns and asked intelligent questions. After seeing him in our initial appointment we used the patient portal to send messages for our concerns. He and his staff did an above and beyond job of following up with us and getting the treatment and answers we needed. We are very impressed with Dr. Bliss and his staff. Staff was very helpful. Received test results quickly. Nurse called me to follow up the day after my appointment. Very good experience

He made me feel comfortable. He listened to me and answered my questions. He walked me through the procedure. 24 hours later my pain is gone and I can walk again with no pain. Thank you Dr. Bliss

Dr. Bliss did a great job with my minor surgical procedure. He has a great personality. And he adjusted the treatment plan to meet my request to attack the issue quickly and completely. I recommend him and the office at this location.

I always have a great experience and the staff are always so kind. From checking in with the front desk to the medical assistant to getting checked out by the doctor. I will always highly recommend Dr. Bliss and his office!

I just love Dr.Bliss, he's so understanding and listens to me and my needs. I always get in quick and can get my appointment scheduled around my time of need. The nurses are friendly and welcoming as well.

Professional, attentive, great follow through

He is caring and goes beyond what a fast doctor does. He will work to find your problem and then treat it. He is very easy to talk to about anything happening with you. I highly recommend him and glad I found him.

When to get a minor check up

Dr. Bliss is a caring and concerned doctor. I have been around many doctors over the years as a LPN/LVN. He is professional and listens to his patients (me). I highly recommend Dr. Bliss to anyone that needs a good doctor.

DIDNT WANT tO LISTEN TO MY CONCERNS AND WALKED OUT AFTER VOICING MY OPINION. i feel very neglected as a patient

At 3:00pm (CST) I called the office to let them know I had been required to get tested for COVID-19 and have not received my results, and asked if I should still come in. The reply I received was yes please go ahead and come in. I arrived for my appointment at Dr. Bliss's Office (220 S Elm St.) at 3:30pm (CST). My appointment was for 3:45pm (CST ). I was shortly called into the back examination room. My visit was to see if I could be put back on my anxiety medication from 2015. He said, "with benzo's it would be better if someone in psych would diagnose me and prescribe instead of me". I agreed, and a little discouraged replied "ok that's fine with me". My phone rang (I was told by my covid testing place to accept ALL phone calls because they call from weird numbers). It was not them so I hung up. He stepped out side. Came back and started to talk, when my phone rang again. I silenced this call. Dr. Bliss then got up to step out side again, and I asked him If we could also talk again about Chantex so I could quit smoking. He replied "oh its that time of the year"? I jokingly laughed and said yeah I guess. He stepped back outside. not even 3 min later, a nurse comes in and says "Ok that's it!". I replied "What? I thought we were talking about councilors, and chantix?". She said "nope he's done.... did you answer your phone?". I replied "Well yes im waiting for my COVID results". She said "Well he doesn't like that, he probably got mad and left". (I HAVE RECORDINGS OF THIS WHOLE THING) Can a physician just walk away from you like that!? I'm beaten and I've grown up around doctors my whole life... never once has one just neglected to treat or give good reason on why they will not treat. I felt hurt, discouraged, and just down right low after this experience. I was looking for another primary care physician I didn’t want to drive a long way so I found Dr. Bliss. Like most doctors they are rushed and pretty much just ready to get on to the next patient. Not a long wait either time I’ve been, their scheduling is great compared to a lot of offices. Dr Bilss is knowledgeable, thorough and communicates well.

Dr. Bliss is wonderful. We followed him from Sapulpa. I only wish he was easier to see on short notice; I guess that just shows how busy he is and how much our community loves him. Dr. Bliss is a very good doctor and he breaks it down to where you can understand it

First doctor I have trusted in over 20 years. He hears what I say and makes sure I understand everything. I would recommend him to everyone!

Dr Bliss is very knowledgeable and he is so personable. He has helped my foot tremendously. The Cortisone injections he gave me (2) didn't even hurt.

Excellent and one of a kind. Laughs and always in good spirits. Been my doctor as long as he has been one. Trust worthy and hope he is my doc until i am a very old lady and hope i stay at least nice healthy and i sure i will under is care....

I cannot find sufficient ‘kudos’ to give my Doctor and my hero in scrubs, Elisa. I really have great confidence in you. We have here the wisest, most concerned, interested, and phenomenal Doctor in all of Oklahoma (and we have had a big group sampling); and the BEST nurse assistant in the medical profession - Elisa Poiner. Doctor Theron Bliss has never missed a diagnosis and solution.

Had already reviewed my medical history before my visit. Competent, efficient, friendly staff. Dr Bliss was very personable, took his time, knowledgeable about my bp meds, and seemed very caring and intelligent. Quick to inform with test results.
