Seen ortega for over a year and he and his team could never figure out what was wrong when my symptoms were clear. when i changed doctors i got a diagnosis immediately that made sense of it all. he just put me on trials of medicines and when one didn’t work he just tried a new one. i got sick of not being listed to and having neglectful doctors. i would talk to him about something and he’d change the subject. if i would have changed sooner things would be different but i do NOT recommend ortego to anyone. I have been a patient of Dr Ortego for 25 years. Dr Ortego is Confidently skilled, Empathetic, Focused, Knowledgeable, Unbiased, and Respectful. He goes above and beyond for his patients. He explains in detail to patients so you have an understanding of diagnosis, any helpful tests or procedures and their results/ outcomes. He and his nurse LaSchell make sure you are well cared for. Dr. Ortega is very thorough and even drew a picture of my procedure. He removed all doubt and fear I was having. You can’t do better than this doctor.

Dr. Ortego was so through in my first visit. Asked all the appropriate questions and even drew a picture. The nicest doctor I have met in years. I recommend Dr. Ortego! Frank Bailey

I have gone to this doctor three times. He never gives me the right information after the test. He always tells me everything is fine and then he sends the other doctors different. He said my esophagus was ok but he had to stretch it and other things were incorrect. Time for a different Doctor

Lachelle, and Dr. Ortego are the best in the area. They have always treated me in a timely fashion and do the best they can for me.

I first was referred to and seen by Dr. Ortego in 2015. He found a minor issue and resolved it and reset me to return 5 years later. On the return appointment in November 2019 he found cancer in my colon. He took the time to explain to me and my wife exactly what we were dealing with and that he would immediately start all of the testing to move forward with dealing with the problem. Thanks to Dr. Ortego I now do not have the cancer in me and my immediate family is all being screened. Not only is he very compassionate and caring, he is a pro and makes sure that you understand exactly what is happening. He followed up with me personally on all testing all the way to the point where he handed me off to my surgeon to get the demon out of me. I very strongly recommend Dr. Ortego to anyone with GI issues. He is excellent and you can trust him. I am in treatment with this doctor since 2008 his nurse michelle is very irresponsible answers the messages very late to top this last time I fell ill again gave me a treatment of expired steroids then when I did see the error he gave me another treatment of external but a incomplete treatment promised me that I would get the remaining medical samples last Friday I called saying that it was my responsibility to get the rest at that time would send the recipe to walmart today is Tuesday December 18 and does not contact me or send the recipe to walmart no I recommend this lack of professional ethics I am in treatment with this doctor since 2008 his nurse michelle is very irresponsible answers the messages very late to top this last time I fell ill again gave me a treatment of expired steroids then when I did see the error he gave me … More

My husband was referred to Ortego over thirty years ago with elevated liver enzymes. Ortego at the time, said they are slightly elevated and instead of finding the cause of elevated enymes. He said not to worry about the levels because they are low. My husband is now dying with Cirrhosis of the Liver. He has never been a heavy drinker. This is due to agent orange. If Ortego had advised my husband what to do and not do to take care of his health 30 years ago, we would be having a better outcome with a longer life. My husband is 66. Dr.Terry Ortego is amazing. The most important aspect of any doctor is to listen to his patients. Dr Ortego listens to all your stories patiently and explain the various possibilities that could cause the symptoms. He even gave me a pictorial representation of how our digestive system work to help me understand my symptoms better. He is very patient and caring.
