Dr. Terry Baker

My first visit with Dr. Baker's office happened in August of 2022. I had gone to the ER two consecutive times for an ear infection, and the ER nurses and my Primary healthcare provider recommended me to visit an ENT. I first talked to Jennelle Thompson, Dr. Baker's PA. She was very attentive and caring. She prescribed me many rounds of different antibiotics to cure my chronic sinusitis. Though I got better once, I had more episodes of sinus infections. On December 2022, I was told that due to my repeated occurrences of sinus infections and failed antibiotic treatments, I qualified for surgery. Dr. Baker performed the surgery (septoplasty and ballon sinus dilation) in March 2023. Surgery went well. I would say that Dr. Baker and Jennelle are very kind, attentitve people. Sometimes, it seems like Dr. Baker is always in a hurry and that he is not really listening, but he does care. I feel like Dr. Baker and Jennelle have more patients that they can handle. The wait time to be in the doctor's office is pretty awful. If my appointment is scheduled at 9.30, I would actually talk to the doctor 1 hour or 1 hour and half later. However, overall, my interactions with both the PA and Dr. Baker have been very positive.

Very professional and knowledgeable about the issues i faced

Dr Baker listens to you and takes the time to treat you well.

Have had a Sinus surgery (2005), a Stapedectomy (2010), a Septal Repair (2019) and a scar tissue removal (2019) with Dr. Baker and all went well. Recommend Terry Baker for all ENT needs!

Last year Dr. Baker performed septoplasty and the results have been very good, my sinuses are now open and the right nostril has been opened up so much better than prior to surgery. Most recently I was having trouble with a blocked eustachian tube. Dr. Baker tried to clear it up with antibiotics and steroids, but it would not open. He did a procedure which inserts a balloon into the eustachian tube and.is then inflated and left inflated for two minutes. That did not work, so Dr. Baker recommended an ear tube be inserted through the ear drum, as soon as he penetrated the ear drum the fluid in my ear drained and I am very happy, since the blocked tube really diminished my ability to hear. I was very sick for almost 8 years. High fevers, severe pain starting behind my eye and slowly advancing down the right side of my face and down into my neck. It felt like I had abscesses in my teeth but the dentist said there was nothing wrong with my teeth. I was treated for a neuropathy in the side of my face, one Doctor told me I needed a Psychiatrist and a third Doctor treated me for Diabetes and said I was just in denial. My white blood cell count was very high and I took high doses of over the counter pain meds a day just trying to manage the pain. Doctor Baker was recommended by the University of Utah medicine. In 30 minutes he was able to tell me why I had suffered for 8 years. He took care of it and I haven't had a problem since. He was the only Doctor that I went too that actually used the diploma he earned. I won't go to any one else and I highly recommend him. I was very sick for almost 8 years. Everyone was very nice and helpful.

I have a genetic disease called HHT, which is a blood vessel condition where the vessel come to the surface of the skin. Mine surfaced in side my nose causing SEVERE nose bleeds. Dr. Baker was able to apply a "nasal button" on the inside where the bleeding was from. This stopped the excessive bleeding and I am able to live a more normal life without severe nose bleeds. Very satisfied with treatment from Dr. Baker and the staff. Friendly, competent, explained everything to me. The technician who performs ear wax removal is also very good. I'm planning on making an appointment again soon.

I broke my nose pretty bad, and Dr. Baker did such a great job you can hardly tell anything happened. He is so nice and treats you so well!

He's a great doctor and one of my hero's!. He has helped me multiple times. My life was totally changed after sinus surgery. I have very few head aches now! Before that surgery they were daily. Dr. Baker is great! I will always recommend him for all sinus problems. He addressed my needs and didn't push surgeries or extraneous procedures, like my previous ENT.

Dr Baker came highly recommended, and we found out why! He removed our five children’s tonsils and fixed four of our families deviated septums. He is a great surgeon, skilled, honest with wonderful bed side manner. We would highly recommend him with no reservations!
