Dr. Tamara L. Share

As a primary care physician, I have a good deal of experience treating mental health disorders. When I visited Dr. Share for my own mental health needs, I was baffled to find Dr. Share to be argumentative and, ultimately, unhelpful. Easily the worst experience I've ever had with a care provider.

As someone who works in this field, I found Dr. Share to be extremely unhelpful. I tried giving it time, and had several sessions with her but in the last session her response to one of my questions was so highly offensive that I could not fathom returning. Dr. Share knew I was in an emotionally vulnerable state, and said something so humiliating and judgmental that any trust I had built with her by that point was gone. It took me some time (weeks) to even process what she said, as I was in total shock. Additionally, at the start of every session Dr. Share was unable to recall what we had discussed in the previous session, and for that reason, I felt like zero progress was being made. When I spoke to her, she would look like she was listening but then completely invalidate my feelings by asking "so why are you here again?". Overall, I found her to be judgmental, impertinent and insensitive. She left me feeling uncomfortable, and uneasy.

I saw her twice. Dr. Share means well and no doubt helps some people, but she likes to be in control and is plain spoken. She tries to listen but often misinterprets what you are trying to say. When I told her that I felt it wasn't going well, she told me that I misused the word felt!--never asking why or acknowledging the intent of my words!!). All this makes it difficult to work for her if you are an independent minded person.
