Dr. Susan K Bonar

Bonar the butcher botched my foot surgery for a diabetic ulcer the size of a dime, on the ball of my foot. After 4 more surgeries to debris the wound, my foot had to be amputated due to the bones shattering. Nurses at the surgery centers questioned if she was really a doctor and openly showed disapproval of her lack of professionality. Later she forged documents to keep from getting sued. Other patients complained of botched surgeries in the waiting room. Her license to practice should be yanked.

From my first phone call, Dr. Bonar and her staff went above and beyond expectations to help get me seen during a very busy holiday season when I had fractured three bones in my ankle/foot. I cannot say enough about their excellent customer service and professionalism during a very stressful time. Highly recommend!

I went to Susan K Bonar after being referred to her, for surgery to remove a cyst and tumor. She also removed the nerve, because it would take to long to remove them and leave the nerve in tact. I now have permanent nerve damage, and can not walk without pain and discomfort. The surgery was so botched, that I had to have a follow up surgery with a competent surgeon to attempt to fix the botchery she did. Hind sight is 20/20, however I would NOT allow her to operate on my worst enemy.

She is a good doctor very professional helped me with my foot after spending the last 5 years suffering went to see her and with in a months time foot was healing. Thank you so much Susan ❤ GRATEFUL

I had 3 broken bones in my ankle. Dr. Bonar performed surgery. Her care, expertise and experience allowed me a full recovery. Dr. Bonar and her staff were always available with questions and concerns. I would recommend Dr. Bonar to anyone without hesitation.

Have NEVER found an md (any specialty) that I like better. Dr Bonar is skilled, caring and kind. Have seen her for almost 10 years with various fractures. Never been disappointed with her care.

I broke my ankle on July 1. I was getting ready to leave town for the holiday and Dr. Boner worked me in right away. I was impressed with her nurturing nature, her quick, but thorough, diagnosis and her emphasis on healing with improved nutrition and vitamin awareness. I walked out in a boot and was able to leave town and enjoy my vacation. I followed her instructions and was totally healed in 30 days! I would recommend her in a minute!

Really knows what she is doing, caring. Been seeing her for years and very very happy with outcomes. Very attentive about my needs. Excellent doctor.

Great Doctor, knows what she is doing has done a few minor procedures ,very happy with result. Very caring and efficient she wants to make sure you understand everything.

After an injury in October, she x-ray'd, put me in a boot and sent me on my way. She asked more questions about my condition noted 2 years prior. For follow up, I got x-rays again with zero comment, but she gave me her documented VITAMIN recommendations. After 3 months and not healing, I got a second opinion and MRI to find I had a cracked talus AND torn tendons that were never identified. DO NOT GO TO HER. I am looking at a longer recovery due to her negligence.

She is a wonderful orthopedist who helped me when no one else would. She found out what was wrong with my leg after talking and seeing me and hearing what I have went through almost five years ago. She's very personal-able and listens to your thoughts and concerns. I had my surgery done by her one the eleventh of September of this year and ever since, I have been pain free. I can't thank her enough for what she has done for me.

Where do I begin with how much I do not recommend this lady. Does she care about her patients? Nope! Is she easy to talk to? Hell no. My mom had scheduled surgery and showed up for the procedure and Dr. Bonar has the wrong procedure scheduled for her. Not only that, they didn't have her on the schedule at all but said hey could squeeze her in. We waited 8 hours! It was a necessary suregery or we would have left. Dr. Bonar would not come talk to us for an explanation. So unprofessional!!

I should note Dr. Bonar's office is in Leawood, KS. Dr. Bonar did surgery on my feet with excellent results. I highly recommend her, she has outstanding credentials.

Awesome and competent surgeon and physician. My entire family treats with her for various problems.

Wanted me to have surgery from day one. Physical therapy, which sure said she hates, did wonders and I'm back in almost 99% functional form. Terrible bedside manner, doesn't seem too concerned with my questions. I've never been seen within an hour of my appointment. Usually a minimum hour and a half wait before she even gets to you. Takes forever to get her reports done, office has terrible time getting scripts sent on time. Work comp required me to see her. If you have the choice, DON'T.

I have sent many people to see Dr Bonar and regretted it later. My family and friends were upset with the doctor, the staff and the outcome of surgery. Recently my family member that was referred to Dr Bonar had the worst care, needs to see another ortho to fix the problem, plus ended up in the local ER because the cast was cutting into her incision, the ER doc questioned why it was casted. I will never recommend Dr Bonar again.

Worse experience of my life. I am in more pain now than I was prior to surgery. SHe treated me different that other patients because I was work comp. She told me if it was liability insurance or commercial insurance I could be off as long as I needed to be when she discovered it was work comp I had to go back to work the next day after a post op visit from an Achilles surgery

Unless you want to be in pain the rest of your life, run as fast as you can to a different doctor.
