Dr Abend is the best in her field.so professional and caring and has superior knowledge of the endocrinology system.She helped my husband manage his diabetes..we appreciate her expertise and will miss her as she is moving out of state.all the best to,her!

I have been a diabetic for over 30 years and Dr. Abend is the first endocrinologist who was able to "get inside my head" and make me understand the importance of maintaining my diabetes. Under her care, I went from an A1C fluctuating between 8's and 9's, to a 6.0 at last visit. She is empathetic, supportive, and offers genuine praise for achieving your goals. At the same time, she holds you accountable when you don't! She was perfect for me, and I am extremely sad to see her go!

Dr.Abend is a down to earth, caring physician. She made me feel comfortable right away. I left her office feeling positive and with good information.

I found Dr. Abend to be extremely knowledgeable, caring, and willing to take the time to answer my barrage of questions!

She is a real down to earth doctor. easy to talk to.

I have seen numerous Endocrinologists over the past 20 years and had never found one that I was 100% comfortable with until I met Dr. Abend! She truly listens to your concerns and does not ever rush you. She believes in trying to decrease your meds if possible and is conscious of not just writing prescription after prescription. She has a great bedside manner and follows through with what she says she is going to do. Trust me, you want her on your team!

I had been going to another endocrinology team for many years when my brother told me about the team in Worcester. From my first appointment with Dr. Susan Abend I knew I had met a woman who loved her work and after speaking with her for just a few minutes I knew I had met a doctor who I could work with in managing my diabeties. I was right...My diabetic medications have been decreasing, not increasing like before. I have a more positive outlook in my daily management now. Thanks Dr. Abend.

Dr. Abend epitomizes what a physician should be. Professional, caring, intelligent, thoughtful, helpful, supportive and a great listener who involves me in decision making and planning. She has a wonderful way of bringing out the best in a patient's self-care and efficacy.

Dr. Abend has been extremely compassionate and kind hearted with my care. She is one of a kind in trying to diagnosis some issues I have been having for years. She regularly calls after biopsies as well as tests to make sure that I understand and am comfortable with the results. She also has helped me personally to become healthier and have lost 35 pounds because of her encouraging demeanor and dedication in educating me about healthy eating habits. I would highly recommend Dr. Abend.
