Dr. Sundeep Jayaprabhu

The man is seriously paranoid. He cares more about covering his own behind than actually helping his patients. For starters, he makes you sign an arbitration agreement. He then refused to prescribe a medication I've been taking for 10+ years unless I proved to him, according to his standards, that I really needed it. He claimed to be worried about potential side effects. Jumping through his hoops would not have mitigated any potential side effects - it only would have given him a way to defend himself in the event that I did experience harmful side effects. In other words, he refused to prescribe a medication which I have been taking for 10+ years, a medication which greatly helps me, unless I provided him with something he could use to defend himself in the event that medication caused me harm. Any time I questioned him, he turned things around on me to suggest I'd done something wrong. He is very creepy & condescending, he has boundary issues, and he puts himself before his patients.

Terribly unprofessional and scattered. If you’d like to pay a lot of money to repeat yourself constantly while simultaneously being condescended to, he’s your guy.

i've been seeing this doctor for months and he consistently forgets every medication he prescribes me as well as being frankly invasive with respect to my trauma which i am dealing with in therapy, to the extent that he wanted an exact number of men i (a lesbian) had slept with as self-harm and seemed disapproving when i could not provide one. he ignores half of what i say (ie, proposes a longer session next time when i told him then and there that financial issues are preventing me from even keeping up with my CURRENT payments.)

Dr. Jayaprabhu has been treating me for several months for depression. He was quite thorough when asking me questions to get a history and develop a diagnosis of my condition. He is kind and genuinely interested in helping me. He is soft spoken and a good listener. He uses good common sense, and discusses the potential side effects of medicine that he suggests for me. He is conservative in prescribing medicines one at a time, using the proper “start low, go slow” method of prescribing. (A previous physician prescribed several medicines at once, and it was difficult to determine which medicine was causing an adverse side effect.) So far, I have seen a significant improvement in my condition. He has a plan of treatment, and suggested possibly adding another medicine in the future if needed. My mood has improved significantly, and I am optimistic about my treatment plan. I highly recommend Dr. Jayaprabhu.

Dr. Jayaprabhu is awesome. He listens carefully keeps track of your meds and their effectiveness. He is very thorough, and we have established trust with taking responibility for my own health in addition to my meds. He stresses that they are not all that is needed. I'm glad I found him.

I felt that somehow I was not doing enough on my own behalf. He consistently seemed to place the responsibility back on my CBT therapist. I NEED TO BREAK THE PATTERN OF NOT SLEEPING!!! Why do I pay him 75 an hour for 20 minute session? I wish he would listen more often than sink his teeth into the fact that I'm not doing what I should in CBT!!! I really need help! I have found little in his... he constantly has to look up my name and history and always gives me the SAME ADVICE

Dr. Jay is wonderful. He's extremely down to earth and open to your personal input in treatment however if you are showing drug seeking behaviors he will use utmost caution as he should which is why a select few are not happy with his care.

He was always helpful and caring of my mental and physical health. I would still see the doc if he was covered by my health insurance.

He is condescending and judgmental. During each visit, I felt like I was having to first fight against his skewed perception of me, and then try to get the help that I needed. I ended up staying on powerful drugs much longer than I should have. I finally stopped seeing him when he threatened not to provide my medication for almost a month because he didn't have an appointment for two and half months. I would be fearful for any one to see him, but especially some one with a serious condition.

If I could give him negative stars I would. He spent 99% of the time talking to himself and clearly didn't listen to the words I tried to get in edgewise. If you want to be ignored and/or belittled he is totally for you, otherwise avoid him no matter what.
