DR.SHARIF WILL ALWAYS BE MY GO-TO FOR ANY CANCER CARE, HE'S SAVED MY LIFE 3 TIMES OVER THE YEARS.HE ASKED ME WHO TO CONSULT WITH ANY SUDDEN DECISION WHILE IN SURGERY? Dr.Sharif is the most amazing doctor that truly cares about his patients. Thank you Dr.Sharif and staff for everything. Respectfully, S.B
Dr Sharif was my surgical mentor for 1/2 a year in 2015. Hands down he is one of the most brilliant surgeon I have come to know in 25+ years of my experience in healthcare. He is extremely hardworking & dedicated to his profession. I have assisted him & witnessed his meticulous nature in performing complex cancer surgeries that most times would require long hours of de-bulking with undivided attention. There were times we would be closing a procedure, ready to go home & get paged to consult emergency cases. He was resilient in making sure all our cases were safely looked after before signing off. I have observed his thoughtfulness with prompt communication with loved ones waiting for surgeries that took longer than expected time, intra-operatively. His clinic patients did wait for him due to the nature of his work. But he & the team would not leave until everyone was seen. I have trusted his expertise in caring for family & friends. He is a great doctor! He saved my life!
Unprofessional, does not explain what he is doing
Sharif and his team saved my life while at Medical City Fort Worth. He and his entire team are so nice and professional. They (Jessica, Brad, Cara, Sharif, one more Dr. and many more people at Medical City) all took great care of me. I recovered quickly from surgery. Definitely a surgical team to trust. Thank you!!
Dr Sharif is best doctor I have in long time. I suffere from rear skin disease and it’s hard for me to found good doctor with knowledge but he was bingo. So caring, take a time to talk to you, so neat perfectionist. Everyone else I meet in hospital on the day my surgery was having just best words about him. I’m very satisfied with him and his work. His stuff in office are really nice and professional. Also his assistant was very helpful with setting up my surgery I thank her for help. HORRIBLE staff who acts like "juveniles", Dr Sharif's bedside manner is rude, presumptive-at best! If you want to live, seek care elsewhere. Post surgery, the nurse had to chase down Dr. Sharif, forcing a post operative visit to his room, and he basically made excuses for the month post-ponement of surgery saying "let's not forget, this is to make a terminal diagnosis a chronic one" & out of the room he went! His arrogance was weird. Don't let him cut on you! As soon as he does, he washes his hands & moves on. Medical records disappear! His office manager states "NO RECORD since mid-July of 2020." While Dr. Sharif performed liver surgery on 8/19/2020. And, visited his office for staple removal & follow-up thereafter. Dead at 35, 10/20/20.
Dr. Sharif and his staff went over and beyond to make sure I had the surgery I needed. Cara worked very hard to assist me when various issues raised that were no fault of theirs but the Dr that referred me. Jania was very open and honest with me and took all 500 of my calls and answered every question. Grateful for their help and service.
If you want to live don’t go to this doctor
Saved my life.
Disappointing. Communication is not their strong suit. Liked Dr Shariff and Brad the PA. Cara tried to be helpful with our issues, but I think she’s overwhelmed. My step-dads first surgery apparently didn’t get all the cancer. He had a second one that showed no signs of cancer. Because of the 2 surgeries in the same location, it didn’t want to heal properly. After 3 months of daily dressing changes, he has some issues at the site of the lymph node removal. At this point we can’t get anyone to call us for a follow up appointment. When I’ve called the office, it is switched straight to the answering service. I’ve left messages every day for 5 days. There’s an issue with Touchstone for the ultra sound he’s needing. Touchstone called this morning to cancel for Monday. Our next visit will be the ER if his fever goes back up. Not a good idea in the middle of a pandemic.
Multiple visits unfortunately. I guess my body likes causing problems. But overall great experience. Friendly helpful staff. Great bedside manner. No complications from surgery. Crazy to say but was disappointed to have to leave. Relieved but disappointed after developing a great relationship with Dr Sharif and Dr Maddy. Wait could be a little long sometimes but I would consider it a good problem to be taken care of by a doctor in high demand.
Good surgeon, but office waiting is awful. My first appointment was basically to just get my surgery scheduled. I sat in the waiting room for 45 minutes and then in the exam room for almost 2 hours before anyone came in. I talked to Dr. Sharif for 10 minutes and we were done. Follow up appt post surgery, I sat in the waiting room for 30 minutes and then another hour in the exam room. They book way too many people at the same time. Dr Sharif completed a hiatal hernia repair for me. Once I was referred to him by my Gastroenterologist, I was able to get an appointment quickly. My first appointment was quick and very informative as to what surgery he was going to do. I had my procedure on 4 Nov 2019 at Medical City Fort Worth. He was able to do the surgery with a minimally invasive robotic machine. I was able to walk the hospital halls within a few short hours after the surgery. Very minimal pain in the abdominal area. Since the surgery, I have had zero reflux or GERD issues since the procedure. I would recommend Dr Sharif to anyone who needs any type of procedure he is skilled at. Dr Sharif has been part of my dad's medical team for 6 years through his battle with pancreatic cancer. Has always given us the straight facts of the situation and has performed multiple surgeries successfully on him through the years. Very grateful to have him on my dad's side.
My husband was diagnosed with a dangerous adrenal tumor this year and Dr Sharif and Brad saved his life. They maintained excellent communication in the weeks prior to and after his surgery, and let us know what to expect at every step. He was very thorough, explained the risks involved, and they were both very patient with our many questions. We are very grateful for their help and would not hesitate to request their services again if needed. I first met Dr. Sharif in late October 2018. I had Wilms Tumor and Recurrent Wilms Tumor as a child. For most of my adult life I have been very healthy. I had a few digestive issues and woke one morning hours away from my PCP with terrible abdominal pain and nausea. I was transferred via ambulance to Medical City after a CT of my abdomen showed a mass on my pancreas & spleen. Surgery was scheduled and completed later in November. I could not have asked for a better surgeon or team on my case. I was visited daily by Dr. Sharif, Jessica, or Brad. Do not be discouraged because of a wait time, this is an amazing surgeon with a wonderful team.
He was late for the appointment then he rushes you, and then tells you he will set the operations up and the girls up front will in touch with you, but they never call you, you ask question they will tell you they will get back with you, but its a lie. You have to call and call and get the run around. Don't call to ask to speak to him because he won't talk to you unless you make an appointment so he can bill your insurance....I found someone ten time better..I would do the same before you see this office. Office is dirty inside and old looking.
He performed my hiatal hernia surgery
Was told to call today to make an appointment on important BIOPSY results. I’ve been calling all day it’s now end of business day, they should have results today and I’ve gotten nowhere. Instead I’ve gotten different stories of where this illusive doctor might be. This is incresibly frustrating and emotionally taxing. At all cost avoid this doctor. I had surgery back in February of this year. I had left a previous review giving 3 stars because the follow up treatment was neglective but had had surgery by Dr. Sharif ( PA Maddy two years prior with mesh and I thought it had gone well. The PA Bradley Maddy told me this time ( while being prepped for surgery) that there was never mesh put in me- Lie. Same story after surgery. A month later for follow up I am told that they couldn't find it- it must have migrated/ rolled up in a ball. They have already put new additional mesh in me and said I would be healed in 6 weeks. I just saw them 3 weeks ago and they said I am fine to lift 50lbs and bend- Not true. It has been 3 months since my surgery and I am still in extreme pain- I cannot bend without pain or causing more injury to my abdomen- I haven't been able to work because I cannot even walk around for more than an hour nor bend down without hurting myself. My quality of life has been decreased. A supposedly simple surgery should never have resulted in this. I had surgery back in February of this year. Level of care is not the same as 3 years ago. Have had surgery twice. Dr. Shariff is a good surgeon and Dr. Maddy as well- I had to schedule my own follow up appointment after surgery because I was not ever scheduled nor did I receive discharge papers from the hospital. Had to wait a month after surgery fir my follow up. I was discharged from hospital with an upper respiratory infection which set me back on my surgery recovery. Never saw Dr. Shariff before/ after/ surgery nor for my follow up. I believe he is a good surgeon and Dr. Maddy too but the follow up care has been very lacking. They are busy and perform many surgeries but some patients have complications and I was just forgotten about. In the medical field doctors and medical/ receptionist staff need to be reminded that care and concern for patients should be at the for front of the profession. Follow up is important. I would like to thank Dr. Sharif for the care of my husband Gary Holsing I really hope I didn't offend you when I asked how many times you have performed that specific surgery, I was SO stressed and worried about him. Your awesome. Thank you so much.
Dr. Sharif pushed surgery as our only option and ignored our questions about complications and failed to explain the life change that surgery would cause until we pushed for information. He then passed my dad off to a general surgeon when his original surgery created complications. We do not trust him and would never recommend anyone to him.
This doctor is a fraud. He double billed me for my procedure and when I went into the office for my follow up he rushed through my questions after I had waited nearly two hours to see him in the hallway outside, because his office is tiny and cannot seat more than a few patient's at a time. One of the worst experiences. I was in pain and had to sit on the floor in the hallway like a refugee. Also his office manager wreaked of alcohol the day I was there and was not very friendly.
Office conditions suck. waiting time is hours. People sitting in chairs or on the floor out in hallway. People coming out of office say they saw doctor for 5 minutes but waited 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours. Ridiculous.

My husband had been admitted to the Emergency Room and admitted to the hospital in Round Rock with diverticulitis. He was given antibiotics for four days and released from the hospital with oral antibiotics. One week later he was worse. I took him to the ER in Burleson and the admitted him to Baylor All Saints Hospial. The minute we saw Dr. Sharif in the ER I liked him so much I asked him if he would be our Dr. during our stay at the hoapial. He said YES. He saved my husbands life !!
I loved him and his staff. His residents and interns were great. I was very sick and they took excellent card of me and I am fine.
I would highly recommend Dr.Sharif to anyone who desires a trustworthy, experienced, caring surgeon. .I have had major surgery performed by him and about to have cancer surgery performed by him again..You can literally trust your life in his loving hands..He's a true gift from God.
I had emergency gallbladder surgery with this Doctor several years ago. He never visited me during the 6 days I was in hospital. He never once followed up to see how I was doing and my gallbladder had ruptured! Now in 2017 I just had bariatric surgery and my Doctor told me that when the open gallbladder surgery was done the organs were packed too tight resulting in my stomach and liver growing together. This made my surgery more complicated and recovery more painful. I can't recommend him.

This Dr. came by my hospital room and gave me hid card. When I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, Dr. Dave sent my info to his office and I was given an appointment for Thursday, dec. 8th,2016 at 2 p.m. His office was closed and we could not reach anyone. They never responded to attempts to reach him. I could never trust this Dr. now

Dr. Sharif was brought in on my case because I had angiosarcoma and was bleeding internally. I had lost over half my blood and the bleeding was difficult to stop. He literally saved my life. I could not be more thankful for his surgical skill. He kept my family updated on my condition and was very compassionate.
