Worst

Dr. Gupta is very hard to understand and spent roughly 5 minutes with me after a diagnosis of CVID. It takes weeks to get answers to any questions by phone or through the UCI MyChart system. My primary Dr. tried to work with him to coordinate my care and he replied that "He doesn't have time, he teaches and does research." I am completely disappointed with such callous care of ill patients.

Went for ME/CFS with major immune dysfunction. I was pleased to see that he had ot only heard of ME/CFS, but that he was president of association. Doctor fist,then the office. Dr. Gupta will enter at the end of your visit and make a token visit with arrogance and BS, and claims "we will find what is wrong" He even boldly said his job is to educate his patients more than treat them. The only "education"I got was how a blood test isnt very accurate (which I knew, but my numbers were of the chart). Basically I left his office with likely the similar battery of tests everyone gets (with a few exceptionsthanks to the young MDs doing all the work. Then they cancelled my next appointment and didnt get me for another month. I'm basically housebound still. Then visit #2, same arrogant last few minutes. Then the staff accidentally recorders all the same tests from before, that was $3000 worth mostly to insurance. Anyway, this arrogant jerk found sub clinical antibody anemia, but offered nothing to fix and offered nothing to help and did so with countless error with ironic arrogance. Dr. Gupta is a truly wonderful doctor. He is only one of two real immunologists in Orange County. He teaches and also does research and is trying to better the lives of his patients. Thank you Dr. Gupta

My immune system has been a mess so finally got to see dr Gupta so I could get ivig. He ran labs even diagnosed me with a disease that qualifies me to get it with medicare but wouldn't RX it because I didn't have document infections. Wtf. Look at my labs. Both he and his nurse (who totally blew me off when I came in for a vaccine challenge) said first I wouldn't get it because it was expensive. Forget how sick I am. Turns out I might have lymphoma which he missed. Maybe now I'll get ivig.

Mr Gupta Sudhir is a disgrace to humanity and people of wealth. I was a guest at his home for a karaoke night. I have never been so degraded in my life. He thinks because he has a big house and a bentley he can treat people like they are below him. It's a shame to see people like this, they are suppose to have class and be generous. I will never do business with him again and nor would I ever want to interact with such a in considerate old man. He is very rude and disrespectful. I had the utmost worse experience with this doctor. He was cocky, arrogant, rude, and extremely unhelpful. He ran a TON of tests, and NEVER got back to me with any of the results. What a waste of time and energy going to see this doctor. I went to him, out of pocket from Kaiser, for a 2nd opinion, and brought all my records, scans, etc.... that I paid for. He refused to look at ANY of it, telling me,"I don't have time to look at any of this. I teach and do research!" Very disappointing.

All doctors could use Dr Gupta as a template for top tier, caring, patient care. I couldn't be happier.

Due to his worldwide expertise in dysfunctional immune systems, he is a bit elusive. When I'm fortunate to actually see Dr. Gupta, he is attentive, friendly and clearly explains any treatment options. When he isn't personally available, I get excellent care from his detail oriented associates: both the assistant professors and several remarkable residents/fellows. My quality of life has greatly improved under the guidance of Dr. Gupta.
