Excellent doctor that is caring and highly skilled. He found my problem with my ankle when I was incorrectly diagnosed by another ankle specialist. Actually was able to fix my problem with a PRP injection. Highly recommended.

My experience was a nightmare. I had bunion surgery. After 10 months I was still in a walking shoe. Dr. Shapiro did not say why. I went for a second opinion. This doctor did an cat scan which showed that my bone had not healed.

I was recently seen by Dr. Shapiro on a second opinion referral. He is extremely knowledgeable and caring. He treated me with respect and extreme patience. Even though I wasn’t his primary patient, he was genuinely concerned for my welfare and future treatment. I will always have the utmost respect for this doctor because of how he responded to me. Also his staff was incredible! I actually felt for the first time that what I was going through mattered.

Fantastic with my non-verbal, special needs son! So patient and gentle. Couldn't ask for better.

This doctor ruined both of my feet. I had two surgeries--one in 2011 and one in 2012. have had to have all the hardware removed and bunionectomies repeated by a more competent doctor who said when he saw the Xrays, " This is a mess." I have permanent nerve injury in one foot. Run from this doctor. The office is nice enough, and he has a great staff, but the outcome is what matters.

Cannot rate his ability as a Doctor. He declined to accept retired military health insurance. I rated him as such because of that.
