Dr. Steven Paul Royall

They got me in next day. Best podiatrist in the world. He is knowledgeable and passionate about his job and really provides great care.

Dr. Royall is very good at what he does. Three of my family members have been helped by him, two of which were surgeries. He knows what he’s doing and gives clear instructions on how to heal. He was able to remove a tiny bit of a wood toothpick from my 7year old’s foot. He fixed my son’s toes, he hasn’t had a single ingrown toenail since then and was able to remove a needle from my foot. I recommend him to anyone who needs a Podiatrist.

This is an amazing office, and Dr Royall is an excellent podiatrist. I would 100 percent recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Royal is friendly, smart, and thorough. His bedside manner is exceptional. The front desk staff is seriously the best around and will work you in quickly. Glad I found them.

Dr. Royall and his staff are wonderful. I’ve had two foot surgeries with him and both have turned out great! He explains everything thoroughly and never makes you feel rushed in appointments so you have time to ask questions. I never have had to wait to be seen when I arrive at his office, and everyone is extremely friendly and fun. If I ever need a foot doctor again I will definitely go to Dr. Royall. Dr. Royall is seriously the kindest, most down to earth doctor I’ve ever had. He is very knowledgeable and spends time explaining the procedure in great detail. I had what I thought was just a bunion problem but turned out that I needed a joint replacement. I went to Dr Royal as a second opinion because another doctor said I should just get a fusion and I’m glad I did. I am a very active person and Dr Royal said absolutely not. I had the procedure and it was more extensive than we both thought but I really couldn’t be happier. He’s been a gem during my recovery. He and his staff make you feel like family. I wish he had a family practice as well and so we could go to him for all our medical needs. I don’t write many reviews but I am filled with so much gratitude that I felt compelled to write this and hopefully give others hope if they are dealing with similar issues. Most amazing caring doctor I’ve ever had in my life!!!!

I came in for a foot injury and they had the best hospitality, I was nervous going in but the doctors and staff made me feel very welcomed. They were great and had me well taken care of!!!!!!!

Dr. Royall and his staff are great! They are always so caring and friendly. Dr. Royall is great to listen to all your concerns and give all options for fixing the problem. I’ve suffered from Achilles’ tendon pain for years and his been fantastic in helping me find ways to improve my pain and function.

Honestly, I rarely see health care providers for anything, but my heel has been hurting so bad that I finally researched a little and made an appointment with Dr. Royall. I could not be more impressed. His rapport with his patients is great and he helps you understand exactly what is going on with your pain and what is causing it and then helps you figure out the best route of care. There was no wait to see Dr. Royall and he took the time to properly diagnose and talk with me about what was going on. The ingrown toenail procedure was mostly painless. Dr. Royall is friendly, easy to talk to, and does a great job. I'm glad he was recommended to me.

First I want to say the staff here was wonderful, rarely have I met such jovial people in medical places. Most of the time they are polite and 'nice' but, even my introverted self could not help but appreciate the real kindness this staff provides. Dr Royall himself is as kind, interesting and willing doctor as it gets. I waited a month to write my review because I wanted to see the total aftermath of my surgery. That being said, my toe with the ingrown nail has never felt better. I lived with the pain and annoyance for over 30 years and when I finally had enough I came here because it was close, only to find out the procedure takes only 15~ minutes! My first appointment they were able to look at it and take care of it then and there. To think I waited over 20 years to finally come to grips with needing to take care of this! I bought a GIANT bottle of extra strength Tylenol out of nervousness for when the anesthetic wore off but lo and behold, I didn't need ANY. I was surprised because I felt like my toe had just been butchered. Now, not all ingrown toenails are created equal, so my experience can't be a guarantee to be yours but I can say this to ANYONE with painful ingrown toenails. GET AN APPOINTMENT. SCHEDULE NOW. You will be SO happy. I don't have insurance that covers a lot, and so I was an entirely cash patient, the price for this procedure was astonishingly affordable from what I expected. I absolutely loved my experience when I came to Mountain View Foot and Ankle Clinic. Dr. Royall is so kind and funny and he made me feel comfortable during my surgeries (which I was really nervous about). He took care of my ingrown toenails and did a great job. While Dr. Royall seems like a nice guy I believe he may need more staff and help. The room I was in had a dirty instrument on the tray. He didn't wear gloves a few times. And when Dr. Royall used an instrument to dig deep in my toe (which caused me to bleed alot) he only used alcohol to clean my toe. I have since learned Iodine or Chlorehexdine should've been used. As well as a tourniquet. When I talked to Dr. Royall about the pain that I was still having he told me to give it 3-6 months. I am sure glad that I didn't take that advice and that I went somewhere else. I ended up with a really bad infection and ended up in the hospital and w/ a picc line. What a scary experience this has all been. When a patient is still having pain and swelling, waiting is not always the answer. Steven Royal is not an upstanding doctor, and I have recently reported him for medical malpractice. He charged me hundreds of dollars for a procedure I did not need. When I saw a different podiatrist, they were appalled that "Dr." Royall would perform a procedure without diagnosing or testing anything. I went in and they took care of me quickly. I had an ingrown toenail and Doctor Royall numbed my toenail area and used the cold spray so it would hurt less. Then he quickly cut out the problem spot and I was better. The staff is friendly too.

Had been having pain for about 3 months. Decided to go in to see this doctor. I was explained what was happening and he relieved the pain at that same appointment. Wait was short. Receptionist was kind and welcoming. Overall pleasant experience.

I've been to 4 different foot doctors in the area and Dr Royall is the best. He takes the time to listen and to explain things clearly. He gives lots of options which include traditional and alternative methods. He even gave me a supplement which is helping with my tingling and numbness.

Moved from CA and injured my ankle again and had to get a Podiatrist fast. Dr. Royall's office immediately scheduled an appointment for me. I had to get surgery and he did an awesome job. He is friendly, listens and really care.

I had my left foot taped for a week to see if the nagging pain could be reduced abut after a week of doing everything possible to keep the tape dry during bath's/showers - I felt no relief. Today Dr Royall gave me a steroid shot in the heal and told me to go home and ice it for 15 min and be off ice for 15 min for two hours. I faithfully did this and am stunned that the nagging pain I have experienced for months is very much reduced. I saw Dr. Royall as a recommendation from a friend, in spite of him being outside of my insurance network. He diagnosed the problem with my toe and did a corrective surgery in his office. I just got home from my first appointment with Dr. Royall, and I can honestly say that it was one of the best experiences I've ever had with a doctor! He was very friendly and helpful, and I will definitely be going back to him. He treated the tendonitis in my big toe then performed a matrixectomy on the same toe to address ingrown nails. He explained everything that was going to happen in terms I could understand then helped me feel comfortable with everything he was doing. I didn't experience any pain or discomfort. Dr. Royal is truly the "Guru of All Feet". He has been my podiatrist for many years, and I am so pleased to have found such a great, outstanding specialist. Every visit is a pleasant, wonderful experience. My issues and needs are always addressed efficiently and meticulously; with friendly dialogue, superb knowledge, and helpful precise explanation. The appointments are never hurried through or rushed; and one leaves feeling like they have just met with a long time friend, while receiving the best of medical care. I am grateful for Dr. Royall.

I have seen Dr. Royall for my own feet issues. I have had pain for years and years and seen many doctors. After seeing Royall I have no pain. He helped me so much and walked me through each issue. He is very patient, and he knows he is doing. I love his bedside manner and always explained everything. Just this past week he has been treating my son. My son plays football and injured his foot. The football trainers tried for several weeks to help him with very little success I took him to Royall. Not only did he help him he gave him special attention. He took time out of his schedule to come and help him prior to a game so that he would be able to play. I highly recommend Dr Royall and grateful for all that he has done for me and my son.

Dr. Royall worked on my ruptured FHL tendon, and I have hardly any pain. He calmed my nerves pre-op and post-op. I am still recovering but so far so good.

I am not even completely sure Steven Royall is an actual doctor, he is a crook though. I made an appointment for a specific procedure. When I went to the appointment, the doctor said, "Oh, we don't have the tools for that procedure, we will have to call you when they arrive." Then he charged me $75.00 for a 30 second appointment at which he told me he was incapable of helping me. THAT WAS A MONTH AGO! He STILL hasn't called me back to schedule the procedure. What kind of a "doctor" advertises on his website that he is one of the few doctors in SLC that specialize in a procedure, and then doesn't have the right equipment to do it?!? I feel like this guy stole money from me. He should never have charged me for wasting my time. Do not get robbed. Go to someone with the ability to treat you.
