Mr. Steven Lewis Remer

I recently went to see Dr. Remer because I had a disc pinching my sciatic nerve. Couldn’t walk straight problems sleeping numbness and weakness. Dr. Remer was so detailed at explaining how everything works and our choice for treatment. Following Dr. Remer choice of treatments lead to relief and becoming more functional in daily life activities. His staff was extremely awesome and handled all of the insurance without issue and scheduling appointments was easy with clear communication. I have been seeing Dr. Remer for several years due to chronic pain in my lower back and hips. Office staff is courteous , efficient and helpful. Dr. Remer is caring and listens to symptoms.

I’m a pt I was rear ended,.herniation & buldging L-4, L-5.. Talk about I was in AGONY!! I experienced numbness, tingling, fire, felt like ants were crawling down my leg to my foot. With my profession I am always on the go, and standing long period at a time. A really good friend of mine who is a chiropractor(Dr. Matt Chalmers)recommended that I see Dr. Remer. I was very pleased with my experience at American Pain And Wellness! Dr. Remer answered my questions, pleasant bedside manner. Dr. Remer came up with a plan to execute the culprit giving me problems in my back.:-) I can be a hard critic of clinics and the people employed by them. Combine that attitude with an innate crankiness when I’m in pain and the result can be much less than pleasant. This time (My first time at Dr.Remers was a world away from previous experiences elsewhere. It was good to be treated with professionalism & care from Maria, Amanda, Jennifer,Tara, Iliana.The ladies are ALWAYS smiling & eager to help!

Dr. Remer and his staff do an outstanding job! Very knowledgeable and thorough. I went to see him for pain management of L5/S1 nerve pain. Received transforaminal epidural steroid injection twice and have seen significant improvement. I would highly reccomend him. went to the location for American Pain and Wellness in Allen TX.

Had appointment to see Dr Remmer. Never saw him. Instead saw nurse practitioner who wondered why I was seeing her instead of doctor. She checked with Dr Remmer who said he was too busy to see me today and wanted to set another appointment when he had time. In other words NOTHING was accomplished, I’m still in pain and they want me spend another $113 when he has time to see me (or so they can charge the insurance company again?) Ripped off! 3 weeks later and several attempts to reach the “office manager” and not one phone call returned. I’m getting snuffed at the front desk. They say she is off campus and will return my call...nothing. My next step is the Medical Board. I’ll try one more week and then I’ll kick it up a notch Still RIPPED OFF!!! By the way I’ve seen another doctor (with the Tarpon Group) and they addressed my issue quickly and efficiently and guess what, I paid $32.00, my copay. Not $113.00, why is that? I never actually saw this Dr. I never got a chance! After taking forever to review my records his receptionist gave me some lame excuse about him doing mainly injections so he didn't think he could help me. That's funny that's exactly what I needed. I think it's more code for I make more money doing procedures than writing prescriptions and I don't want to get caught up with your disability case. I think it's unfair for a Dr to judge you before they've ever even met you. Unfortunately there are way to many guys like him out their now. They've already lumped you in with the crack heads and drug seekers before he's ever seen your face. I never actually saw this Dr. I never got a chance! I was in a car accident 4 years ago. The other vehicle rear ended me going 75mph.herniation L-4, L-5.. Talk about I was in AGONY!! Dr. Remer was extremely helpful in addressing my neck and back pain. He was very thorough and patient and took the time to explain in detail what my future treatment should be. The staff was very helpful in getting me in right away. I highly recommend this office. Great experience.

I’ve recommended Dr Remer to friends, family, AND strangers. This man is an awesome Doctor. When he’s in the room with you he is “present”. He tells you what you need to hear not what you want to hear. I truly wish I could find that kind of Dr in my other issues ex: family Dr, Endocrinologist, Gynecologist etc...

I've been seeing Dr Remer for over a decade. He is compassionate, caring, and he knows his stuff. I will never be pain free, but he works WITH me to determine the best treatment to help me keep active and healthy. I recently decided to go to someone closer in Frisco, but I went running back after 3 losing attempts. The staff is friendly and professional. If you want to be treated like a thinking adult, see Steven Remer! You won't be sorry.

I went in for back pain management and they came up with one solution - pain injections. I'm sorry if I'm the only one who is absolutely not comfortable with injections. As a doctor he is supposed to offer options that I am comfortable with. I know there are more ways such as oral pain medication. Upon asking for an alternative to injections he said "this is the only option we have. Your pain must not be as bad since your rejecting injections." Absolutely ridiculous!

Dr Remer is a really good doctor! He has been great to work with to get my meds to a point that I am able to live a life that is as pain free as possible. I am so grateful to him! Also, if anyone is interested, they should check out his website. He has a lot of really helpful information on how to live with chronic pain.
