Wonderful experience. The staff is amazing and very professional. The office is well run, crystal clean and organized. Scheduling appointments are easy and their communication process with email confirmations, reminders and office updates is great. An overall great experience.

Although I am fairly new to this practice, I am very impressed with all aspects of their operation. The staff are very congenial, helpful and professional. I highly recommend this group.

I've been seeing the team for a little over two years and their work is stellar, the office is well organize and the staff is second to none. They keep me on top of my oral health and I even feel safe visit with the new normal of COVID-19.

I was flossing the other night and a piece of an old filling came loose. I didn’t realize how distracting and almost traumatizing it can be to have a chipped/exposed piece of tooth. Luckily Dr Steve’s office snuck me into the schedule during their lunch hour the next day and filled it immediately- talk about sacrifice!!! I am already a patient of Dr Steve and Michelle, and they’ve always had great accessibility but this was above and beyond during a time of need. And I’m not sure who needs to hear this, but these dentists don’t overuse numbing agent - I’m always impressed by how they know how to use “just enough” to not make it feel like you could be drooling or biting your lip off bc of the overuse! I had a recent dental check up and cleaning at Steven K. Okamoto DDS and was soooo very impressed I felt compelled to write both a personal testimony and give a heartfelt endorsement. My first impression was the friendliness and welcomingness of the front office staff. The office is clean and organized with a calm and peaceful atmosphere. A nice little touch is the free bottles of drinking water in the mini-refrigerator. I was seen within minutes of my appointment time by dental assistant Stephanie who took my digital dental x-rays....all 18 of them! She was super friendly and very attentive to my comfort. Next, I met Dr. Michelle whose beautiful spirit is an equal match to her physical beauty. She very patiently and detailedly explained my x-rays and high resolution images of my teeth and other oral features. She explained areas of concern and recommendations. At no point did she ever try to upsell me any unnecessary procedures, as I have encountered from past dental practices. She listened to my questions and concerns and made me feel completely in control of my dental health decisions. In past experiences, I have had dentists make decisions without advising me of my options or considering my input. Dr. Michelle is truly a gifted listener and explains things in an easy to understand manner. Next, I was introduced to dental hygienist, Kim, who performed my dental cleaning. I lived in the South Bay most of my life but moved about 450 miles away. Subsequently, I was diagnosed with a mouth infection which spread to all my teeth. Dr. Steve and Ms. Izumi are simply wonderful. My 86 years old mother has been afraid of dentists all her life. Unfortunately she broke 2 teeth. Dr. Steve not only skillfully fixed the problem, he understood her fear and made her feel comfortable throughout the entire session.

I have been around the block a bit as I am 62 years old and have been to many medical/dental and other service business offices through the years. Without a doubt, Dr Steve and Dr Michelle Okamoto have the finest office I have ever visited. The facility itself is terrific- I feel like I am going to the spa. But what sets it apart is the service by the entire staff- front desk, administration/billing, hygienists, dental assistants, and Doctors Steve and Michelle. Everyone is just so competent, efficient, and friendly. My wife and 3 adult children are now all patients and they feel the same way. They are amazed by how great this place is! And they go above and beyond. Just 2 examples: I have a disabled brother who could no longer go leave the house so Drs Steve and Michelle (who were not his dentists) went out and did a cleaning at his home. Dr. Steve has been my dentist for the past twenty years and I have been extremely happy with his service and pleasant environment that he provides. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else for my dental needs.

Dr. Michelle Okamoto came in on a Saturday even though I was not a regular patient to begin the process of a sudden need for a root canal.I was in terrible pain and could not reach my regular dentist. Doctor Steven Okamoto is the best dentist I have ever seen. Having had several dentists in my lifetime, some good, one bad, who missed a spot while putting a crown on my back molar, of course the pain was unbearable and eventually I needed a root canal. That's when I went to Doctor Steve, he explained how the crown was improperly mounted, he took pictures in case I wanted to make a claim, then resolved my pain issues, and treated me. Since that experience I've been seeing him for over 7 years, and recommend him. I know that he continually upgrades his skills with additional training at the University. Finally, besides his dentistry and forensic skills he is a great prosthodontist, because he treated my wife who had a rare erosion problem and needed restoration.
