Dr. Steven L Halpern

Oh my God. What can I say about Dr. Halpern. There aren't enough words to describe what a jem he is to the pediatric medical community. He has saved my son's life, 30 years ago and I will never, ever forget him. I Still remember him when my son was diagnosed and chose to go to Overlook hospital and there he and his nurse waited for us late at night, when no other doctor would have and that's where our journey began. I owe everything to him. Dr. Halpern, thank you so much. You probably do not remember my son, was 5. But I will never, ever forget you. How devoted you are to what you do.

Dr. Halpern has dedicated his life in the treatment of the children afflicted with pediatric cancer. He is compassionate understanding and treats all of his patients like his own. He will sit with you and explain and answer all your questions. He is the leader of the staff of the Valerie center. He is always on time if not early, and is true hero to the children and their families. It was honor to meet him and to now call him a friend. A true hero, For the children and their families.
