Dr. Steven Anthony Gaudio

Long time patient. I have an inconceivably bizarre medical history, so I'vebeen seen by countless physicians. Dr Gaudio is the best physician I've ever had. He is the role model medical students should aspire to be.

I was misdiagnosed years ago. I had what looked like a cigarette burn on the top of my chest. I was told several times that I was imagining things. The Doctor I was seeing then didn't take my issue seriously at all. On my last visit to him, he gave me a prescription finally. I thought finally he understood. I opened it up. Promptly tossed it in the garbage. It was for a widely used medication at the time. Prozac Can you believe it? When I got in to see Doctor Gaudio He knew immediately what it was. And without hesitation he did a biopsy of the area. It was indeed Skin Cancer. He got all the margins with the biopsy. So luckily I haven't had a reoccurrence ever Thank you Doctor for listening to me. And not just assuming that I was imagining things as the other Doctor did

Dr. Gaudio has been our family doctor for almost twenty years. The man is super-brilliant, compassionate, funny, and available to you! Yes, he doesn't take credit cards, but old-fashioned practices allow him to to care about his patients and he does that to pass on those savings to his patients. He's a reputable man and it will be quite a loss when he retires! We love you Dr. G!

I first met Doctor Gaudiio years ago at the Old Saybrook location. I had been ignored by previous Doctors regarding my problem. I was made by feel stupid. I went to a Doctor to diagnose a skin lesion on my upper chest. It was a raw red sore that looked much like a cigarette burn would look. It had wouldn't heal. I was told that it was my imagination. And then he turned to proceed to write some kind of prescription. I assumed that it you some kind of ointment to put on this. Much to my horror, he had written a stronger dosage of Prozac that he had me taking. On asking what good would that be on the skin lesion that I had. He seemed myfed that I had the audacity to ask a question. Needless to say. Doctor Gaudiio knew what this was the moment he saw me. He immediately did a biopsy and did indeed find skin cancer. I was so fortunate to have come to this wonderful man He not only diagnose me correctly. He even was able to get the cancer right away. He got all the margins first try. Bravo to a incredibly intelligent person who truly cares about his patients.

Explains everything very well. Really great doctor. I live on the opposite side of the state, yet I still drive the extra hour to see him.

A colleague told me I should try Dr. Gaudio. The staff was compassionate and Dr. Gaudio was excellent! This doctor sees every patient himself! I have suffered with a rather severe skin problem for years. I had become disappointed by the medical profession in general. Dr. Gaudio's treatment proved successful in a few short weeks! Although I initially came to him for dermatology, he has now become my internist. I have confidently recommended him to many people. My entire family switched to him. Dr Gaudio seams to be a decent doctor but his business practices are quite unusual. He charges you extra to write prescriptions and also try’s to charge you to fax YOUR medical records to another doctor if requested. This action can deny you seeing another doctor if you so desire. I would think twice about calling this kind of physician my doctor. Your health is not his main concern your money is.

Highly recommend Dr. Gaudio and his office staff. My first experience was ten years ago and he was very kind and solved the issue in that same visit. I have gone a few times since for dermatological questions, each time Dr. Gaudio has efficiently and thoroughly treated me. His staff has made making an appointment very easy. He seemed ok as a doctor but has the worst patient communication and office staff. A nightmare start to finish. Stressful and dishonest when insurance was trying to work with them.

I have been going to Dr. Gaudio for over 20 years. He is the most thorough and caring of doctors. Highly recommend.

I use Dr Guadio as my dermatologist, my wife has him as her GP. On both levels he is an absolute best at what he does. His staff are humorous as well as proffesional. Highly recommend Dr Gaudio.

Amazing doctor! Could not be more attentive, caring, and knowledgable. I have been a patient for over 20 years and would never leave. He has always treated my family and I with the upmost respect, and has seen us through some pretty hard times. Cannot say enough nice things!

After many years of seeing Dr. Gaudio his practice is not the same. Some of the new staff lies and does not tell the truth. I have decided to move on to a new dermatologist as I don't condone this method of staff. I will always remember how kind Dr. Gaudio was.

My wife and I have both been going to Dr. Gaudio for years. Neither of us can think of a single negative thing to say about him. He is compassionate, caring, always pleasant, never demonstrates the "I am the doctor and you are not" attitude. He's always willing to listen to all that you have to say and will answer your questions completely and without hurrying you. We have recommended him to friends, and those that have gone to him have thanked us for the recommendation.His staff is also great.

I have recommended Dr Gaudio to many. He is by far the best doctor I've had. He is brilliant and he doesn't over medicate, which I prefer. Some doctors are so pharmaceutical, but Dr Gaudio believes in the power of the immune system and body wisdom. He is very warm and personable. If I've needed to see him in a hurry I have gotten in that same day, every time! His staff is great! Anita and Leslie are wonderful! I'm sure there are days they want to tear their hair out but they are always smiling.

I saw Doctor Gaudio, 9 years ago. I had what looked like, a cigarette burn, on the upper part of my chest. I went to my General Practictioner I had at the time.. He told me not to worry about it. Then proceeded to get his prescription pad. I figured he was writing a prescription for some kind of cream. I saw it, and he had risen my dosage, of Prozac, that I was taking at the time. It made no sense to me, He said I was probably just picking at myself.. I didnt feel right about his diagnosis.. I then made an appointment with Doctor Gaudio. As soon as he saw it, he new it was skin cancer.. He took a biopsy right away.. Indeed he was right. I was so lucky, with the biopsy, Doctor Gaudio, got all the cancer margins.
