Went for a consult with Dr Garrett. I had a basil cell on my nose that needed to be removed, never having Mohs surgery, I had a lot of questions that he refused to answer and told me to go on the internet and do my own research. He told me that I wouldn't leave his office with no less then 50 stitches. When I asked if that was the worst case scenario, his response was that he hasn't put in a couple of stitches since med school and that is the average stitches he uses. Thank goodness I got a second opinion. I recently had my basil cell removed ( by a different Mohs surgeon) and had clear margins with only 3 stitches.

I would highly recommend Dr. Garrett for Moh's surgery. He removed a basal cell from my nose. Now, one month later, only I can discern the scar. He was very professional in his explanation and information during my initial visit and during the surgery.

Had to wait 7 weeks for a consultation before even scheduling an appointment to have basal cell cancer removed. The doctor went on a vacation. Two days before the appointment the office cancelled. I was told to wait another 3 weeks for the consult, then schedule the surgery. The office staff was indifferent to the discomfort this caused me. I find it all very unacceptable. I am now going to travel and hour and a half to visit another surgeon who won't make me wait. Wish I knew to do it sooner
