Worst ortho , only cares about his worker comp checks. I was on workers comp and In a wheelchair with 15 stitches on my right knee that I couldn’t move only 6 days after injury. And my left ankle wrapped up swollen but this dr didn’t even unwrap and check my ankle let alone give me an X-ray or mri to rule out any further damage instead he clears me 100% back to work. How does that even make sense ? You just write what you want and don’t even look my injuries? At the end of the day I won my legal battle but I’m unfortunately still injured and have chronic pain. Everyone should stay away trust me

I came to Dr. Choung with x-rays, MRIs, nerve testing, & a tarsal tunnel diagnosis. Dr. Choung told me that I had plantar fasciitis and all I needed to do was PT, stretch, and lose weight. When asked about the tests & MRI he hadn't looked at either. He scanned through the summaries in about 1 minute and decided they were wrong. He disregarded my history (10-15 hrs/wk on skates for the last 15 years, working 40+ hrs/wk on my feet, dancing & team sports for decades, multiple foot, ankle, and toe breaks). He told his PA in the hall that I didn't have tarsal tunnel because it's so rare, and losing weight will fix my feet. He saw a fat body instead of a whole person and chose to treat my "fatness" and not my feet. Dr. Choung is just another fatphobic medical professional. He was rude and condescending to my face and while talking about me in the hallway. 0/10 do not recommend. And 12 wks of PT didn't fix the PF I don't have.

Dr Chung performed surgery on my right foot for flat foot (posterior tibia tendon tear) and bunion on my right big toe 2 years ago. Surgery was not successful for either case. Swelling and pain in my right foot is much worse than before surgery. One titanium screw head is protruding just beneath the skin. My right big toe is now wrapped around my adjacent toe like a pretzel. Dr Chung is a very personable Dr and it gives me no pleasure in writing this review but both procedures were a total failure. Dr Chung performed surgery for posterior tibias tendon tear and bunion on my Rt foot/ankle July 2019 (2 years ago). Both were failures. Pain/swelling in foot more intense than before surgery. Big toe totally beneath adjacent toe. Cortisone injection in ankle provide some short term relief only. DISAPPOINTING results. 24/7 pain now.

Excellent Dr., Replaced my ankle 8 years ago. It is still in great shape. He is easy to talk to and will listen to you when you have questions. I highly recommend him.

I had a very extensive flat foot surgery plus correction of a mild bunion and hammertoe in March 2019. After a year of major disruption to my family and recovery, the surgery was a failure. I now have a big toe totally overlapping my foot and the pain whenever I walk is extreme. My active life of sports and travel is essentially over. Choung had assured us before surgery that he knew what he was doing and had studied under the surgeon who perfected this technique in New York. The only way to fix it is more surgery. I would look elsewhere to find a surgeon who can perform up to his own self assured manner.

dr chuong has done 3 ankle surgeries for me and i can walk again !!! he reconstructed the joint, placed a titanium wedge, and performed a nerve decompression...i blew the ankle surfing and he was the only surgeon with a plan.. i will also have him perform an ankle replacement when the time comes. 5 Stars !!

Dr Choung is the Best, he is absolutely Professional and addressed all my concerns, he replaced my tendon and fixed my ankle. I would recommend him Highly. The Jewett Group is Excellent.

Dr. Steven Chuong is one of the best Sports Medicine, Foot and Ankle MD in the state. I came there with terrible spurs in my ankle. His professional attitude and care is undeniable.

These people at this office ROCK! Even though I had to not put weight on my shattered ankle for 12 weeks, he fixed the unfixable! Highly recommend this group!

Dr. Choung did emergency surgery on my ankle (both sides) and within 3 months I was released from his care due to the amazing job he did. I have no pain or even a limp from his outstanding ability to treat injuries. I would recommend Dr. Choung for any type of ankle issues.

I had my foot operated on by Dr Choung July 6. Since that time I have had nothing but pain, toe has a black band around it and end is very red. The toe nail is now coming off as well. I went every month to Dr Choung and all he would say is the color does not bother him. He Did nothing for the pain or our concerns. So our last visit (November) in his exact words, THERE IS NOTHING MORE I CAN DO FOR. He turn and started to walk out the door and he then said, I'M DONE WITH YOU. Those are his words.

Done a excellent job on my ankle. Easy to talk to listens to the patient and gives advice you can understand.
