Worst dermatologist ever

My experiences with Dr. Burnett and Brandon PA have been wonderful! I owe Brandon and Dr. Burnett my life because at 58 they identified a melanoma lesion that didn't look any different to me than my hundreds of spots. I had a biopsy, and promptly was referred for wide excision melanoma surgery. I also had concerns about lymph nodes that they were very accommodating to address. They both have done a very thorough review of my skin and I trust them implicitly. The office staff are friendly, very professional, and have handled covid-19 with utmost care. I highly recommend this practice.

Dr. Burnett and his staff exhibit the ultimate safety for their patients. You arrive for your appointment and call to tell the receptionist you have arrived. You stay in your car and they will call you when it"s clear to enter the office with your mask on. An assistant with take your temperature and place gloves on your hands. Then you are led to your room. Dr.Burnett and staff all have masks and gloves for your and their protection from the Covid-19 virus. I might add at this time, that you are treated like family. The entire staff is friendly and cordial. The assistant will prepare you for your procedure and Dr. Burnett will enter the room and greets you and gives you a thorough plan of what he's going to do to solve your problem. If you have questions, he is more than happy to give you answers and put you at ease. The assistant will prepare the area/s with antiseptics and pain killers in a gentle manor. She tells you what to expect before proceeding with her duties. Enjoy!!!

Dr. Burnett came recomended to me by a friend. I had a Squamos Cell cancer behind my left ear. Dr. Burnett evaluated it and removed it. I highly recomend his staff, Brandon his PA and Dr. Burnett himself. He will take great care of you.

Waited 45 minutes in the lobby finally called to a room and waited another 15 minutes, then asked if we would mind if the PA Brandon could look. Said would rather wait for Dr. Burnett. Once he did come in his manner was very professional and got right to the issue. Only negative was the wait and being asked if we would see the PA.

Have left this doctor after 20 years. 30 to 45 minutes wait before going into examining room where there is an additional minimum ten minute wait. Always tries to pawn you off to his physician's assistant, Brandon. I question some of the procedures the PA performs. Dr. Burnett is a fine physician; however he has no respect for a patient's time.

This doctor was the worst dermatologist I have ever been to. He barely looked at my body for my yearly exam. Instead he mostly asked questions. My last doctor took many pictures of areas in question as well as measurements, then compared each in subsequent visits. Dr. Burnett did none of this. In fact, one freckle my other Dr. had been watching for 15 years (no change), Burnett insisted that he take it off. I will NEVER go back to this man.

I moved here from New England. I went in for a skin screening. My family has a history of skin cancer. The technician didn't even ask me to remove my pants, only my shirt. He didn't look at my scalp OR my feet/toes. He was very nice, but my skin screenings in New England are far more extensive. My doctor goes over every inch of my skin with a hand-held instrument that magnifies objects. In the 11 months I have lived here in FL, I have experienced very poor care. Such a shame.

This office is the best! I was scheduled for 9:30 this morning and i was called at 9:30! great start. my firs t contact was proficient, polite and comforting. the Dr came in in half a minute. so far perfect. Dr Burnett and his son are both great,genuinely concerned and have the time to fully explain things. Thank you!!!

Both Dr. Burnett and Brandon are always professional. Explains any findings and procedures needed to resolve any issues in terms a non medical professional can understand.

Totally professional, personable, very experienced and gentle.

I was recommended to establish myself as a new patient with Dr. Burnett. Everything was excellent from start to finish. Setting up the appointment, filling out the paperwork from the website made my first visit easy and quick. The staff is kind and professional. Dr. Steven Burnett was efficient while being an expert in the dermatology field. I appreciated his kind and caring way with me as a new patient. I highly recommend his practice.

Dr Burnett has been my Dermatologist since moving into the Sarasota area 12 years ago. He is very knowledgeable and has a caring attitude.

Dr. Burnett is an outstanding dermatologist/surgeon that treats his patients with compassion and care. His expertise knowledge in his field is a reflection of the treatment you will receive when going to his office. He is very caring and will listen to your concerns and give you the best treatment plan. His office staff are the best and treat you with kindness and respect.

He talks too much and does not listen to what the patient is telling him. Burnett does not stand behind his services. I had cosmetic procedures done and the results were barely noticeable, however Burnett refused to address the issues. He said that maybe he could have done more to fix the problem, but he would not correct it. DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER GOING HERE. You'll pay a lot of money for no results.

dr brunette staff was rude. I questioned my co-pay and received the eye roll from the staff membe. I pointed out a couple of spots I was concerned about, one on my scalp which was brushed off as being an ingrown hair. Three months after this visit I visited another dermatologist you took a biopsy of it. This morning I received a call telling me it is cancerous. The same for a spot on my ear, which Burnett scripted me a liquid to put on it along with many other spots. He was too busy to deal with

Dr. Burnett is at the top of his game. I went to him for a second opinion and will stay because of his skill. Excellent support staff.

Comprehensive evaluation on intial visit. Personal but professional. Clearly explained options and recommended relatively low cost option which worked.
