Dr Z is the most compassionate, skilled Internist, we've ever encountered..He and his staff treat us like family..

Our experience with Dr. Zimmermann has been exceptional. He is a caring, informed, personable, knowledgeable Doctor. My family is so impressed with him, and feel we are so fortunate to have him to care for us.

He’s terrible. After 10 years he quit me after prescribing me new serious meds over $130. He’s owned by ascension even though his staff talks bad about them.

Dr Zimmermann is a wonderful, caring dr. My family and I have been going to him for 15 years - even following him to Niceville when he moved from Santa Rosa Beach. My husband is elderly and has many issues that he has to address. His staff is always helpful in any way they can.

Apparently a real tool, 1 star only because 0 stars was not an option. Treated my mother in law with disdain, she's 80. It's been a hard enough year on the elderly but we don't need "Drs" like this. Embarrassing and makes me question Ascension, it's not The Sacred Heart it used to be.

What an amazingly talented, caring and brilliant physician. You are lucky if you can get into hiss practice.

Dr. Zimmermann is extremely professional and proficient. He will spend as much time with me as I need/require on each visit. He is very personable and makes major effort to see me as scheduled. I would highly recommend anyone who needs an internist, call Dr. Stephen Zimmermann.

Doctor Zimmerman is an amazing Doctor who truly cares about his patients. He has been our doctor for nearly 15 years and has always been caring, compassionate, and thorough in his approach to our medical needs He is great about taking the time to explain treatment options and allows you a voice in your treatment. I highly recommend him and his office which is filled with a helpful staff.

Dr. Zimmermann is the best , my wife and I have been patients of his since he started his practice here, we have always been treated with dignity and respect by him and his team. We are very happy with him and our overall health has improved greatly under his care.

Horrible! My mother went to see him and when he came out to receive her he said “you again?!?!” My mother was shocked and said “my leg is getting bad again” and he said “well put it in hot water!” and turned around and went back inside. My mother is elderly and does have heart issues. I’m glad for the doctor that I was not with her for this appointment or it would’ve gone very differently. Who treats their patients like this? Disrespectful tool is what he is!

When I read all these reviews I’m baffled at the “caring” rating for this “doctor.” My mother was a patient of his (“was” is the key word) and has seen him a few times for her heart issues. She went to see him because her legs were swelling. He came out to receive her in the waiting room and looked at her and said “you again?!?” My mother was shocked and so were the reception ladies and nurse that was there. My mother said “my leg is swelling again and he said “well put it in hot water” and turned around and went back in. The receptionist was stunned. My mother left without being seen (obviously). What kind of doctor temperate his patients like this? Disgusting behavior. I give him 0 stars. Shame on you!

I awoke in the AM with a hurtful, terrible cough which from previous experience appeared to be Bronchitis. My wife called Dr. Zimmerman ( yes, he had given us his personal cell number ), he called back immediately, made a diagnosis and called in prescriptions for me. By the way , this was at 6:40 AM on a Saturday. They just don't make Doctors like that anymore.

He is attentive, patient and never rushed. I trust him. He cares.

Dr. Zimmerman takes the time to understand and evaluate his patients. When necessary, he creates a plan for treatment. Dr. Zimmerman is a great primary care physician! Dr. Zimmerman practices internal medicine in Niceville, Florida.

Dr. Zimmerman has been my physician since he retired from the Air Force. He cares about his patients and is excellent in every way. On my first visit he stayed with me through his lunch time, that's the way he is. I'm a retired RN, worked with many doctors, and know he's the best. I've recently moved to another state and I miss him a lot.

Dr Zimmerman is the best physician I have had in 50+ years! He always takes time with you and listens to your concerns. He is always on time and has a very efficient staff.

After several years of seeing Dr Zimmerman I thought he was a great guy. Ater seeing him earlier in the month I had to get a CT and xray. Results were sent but had no response for 7 days. Promised a call from the Dr, never happened. His nurse finally called and read the results,but she could not answer any questions. Set up an appointment for 10 days after, went in to be bashed with"do you know you have an outstanding balance?" I said NO, I had not received a bill.I tried to pay the bill .

Dr. Zimmerman is the most attentive, kind and considerate doctor I have ever been to. He is very generous with his time and always wears a smile! His staff is so nice and friendly! Dr. Z is the best!

Dr. Z is such a caring doctor and actually listens to your concerns. He is always cheerful, don't think he's ever had a bad day with anyone! (at least not with me) He is also always very punctual yet you do not feel rushed. Since moving his office from Destin to Niceville where he lives, he always thanks me for making "that trip across the bridge" from Destin. It is only 12 min., unless appt. is during tourist traffic. He inspires me to do better with my Diabetes.

Dr Zimmerman, is the best Internist.. He is thorough, listens to your concerns, and is very kind. I highly recommend him.. He bends over backwards, to help you..

After living in Atlanta and having the "doctors' doctor" as my physician, I was very concerned about finding a good doctor when I moved to this area. Dr. Zimmerman was repeatedly and highly recommended. My husband and I feel very blessed to have been in his care for nearly 20 years - his professionalism, coupled with a genuinely kind and caring manner, offers a high degree of confidence and comfort. Dr. "Z" is a fine man AND an excellent doctor. We're beyond pleased.

Dr. Zimmermann goes above and beyond when it comes to patient care. He listens to you and has a great repore. As we all know doctors are busy and to expect a very lengthy appt. is not fair to waiting patients. Have your questions ready. He will not rush you and will get answers to you then or in a timely manner. He is the Best.

Dr. Zimmermann is absolutely the best physician my wife and I have ever known. We're both old enough the have had more than a few Physicians. There is none better than Dr. Zimmermann. He is both knowledgeable and compassionate. He appears to always have the right treatment/remedy for whatever condtion you have. When your with him, you think your the only patient he has. We recommend him to everybody we know. There are not enough superlatives to accurately describe Dr. Zimmermann.

Dr. Zimmermann obviously cares about his patients evidenced by the friendly and courteous staff he employs to the time he seems to take with each of his patients. With three visits under our belts, we have found all appointments to be timely and the staff extremely helpful answering questions and assisting with the documentation associated with Dr. visits. Most importantly however, we have found Dr. Zimmermann to be a great listener and explainer of medical conditions. We Are Happy w/ Dr. Z.

Dr. Zimmermann is one of the kindest, caring physicians in our area! He always has a smile on his face and takes the time to listen to all my questions and concerns. Always timely and if running behind, he will give me the same attention-time as he gives others!

I have been seeing him for 13 years and have never been disappointed. He has GREAT "bedside" manner, and is always very concerned about how I feel. His diagnosis of an issue is always correct. At 74 years old he is the best doctor I have EVER been to and that covers a lot of territory.

I have gone to Dr. Zimmerman for 10+ years, and visit every 6 months. I have never felt rushed, slighted, or uncomfortable, and everything is always explained fully. The same goes for his terrific staff in his office. I have recommended him to several friends, and they are now his patients.

Dr. Zimmermann takes his time with you. He does not just sit check boxes on the computer while you are in the exam room (unlike many other docs). He has taken fabulous care of me and my family for many years. He also takes great care of my aging parents who have a laundry list of issues. He is very personable. The scheduling system and staff could use some improvement. I put up with them because he is so great.

Dr. Zimmermann is the most capable internist I have had over my 81 years. He's very professional, at the same time he has a wonderful sense of humor..... something you don't find often in medics. Anyone in the Panhandle of Florida who needs an outstanding doctor should contact Dr. Z!

I am a snow bird who loves that I can go between home and Dr. Z with no issues. He is the most caring and provides the best care for me.

I started new ins Jan.1st and listed Dr Zimmerman as my PCP. This was done through a customer svc rep. She informed me I could make an appt immediately. Great, I have a viral infection that as gone into my eyes and I can finally go for treatment..Yay! ..Not so fast.. I called the dr's ofc and was talked to like an idiot for assuming it was that simple. I was told I first needed to go to his office and fill out a form, wait 4-10 days and then I would find out if he would accept me or not. Shame!!

Dr. Zimmerman has been our trusted family Doctor since he opened his practice in Destin. He saw my husband through many health problems prior to his death from heart disease, and continues to be my primary physician. He is knowledgeable and caring. This would have been an entirely 5 star rating, except that the girls on the phones tend to be abrupt and less than caring.
