One of the most compassionate doctors I have met. He truly dedicates his time and communicates well with his patients.

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Thorpe for almost 3 years. He is a very involved and caring Dr. We both highly recommend! He actually took time out to go visit my husband in the hospital after a major surgery! So kind! I screwed up and appointment and he made it work. The best!! He is thorough and very conservative. He totally explained things to me so that I truly understood my underlying condition. He's truly personable. I highly recommend him

He reviewed my mom’s case without looking at her MRI report. When I informed him of this he found in immediately and offered Cortizone shots. This offered no relief. Disappointed!

Dr. Thorp explained everything in “layman’s” terms. Was always available to b contacted. Very kind and patient

could give less than 1 star I would. I made an appointment to see Dr Thorp early December of last year and got the appointment for 1/13. On 1/4 I received a call from NWH telling me the needed to make a change to the appointment. I called back and was told he would be doing telehealth appointments and was given 3 options. First option via smartphone where they would send a text message. Second was via computer (don’t have one so it’s not an option) and they would send an email or third a simple phone call. I opted for the phone call since I’ve always had an issue with telehealth visits with a smartphone. I really wanted an in office visit since I’m a new patient. On 1/10 I received a call from NWH’s insurance department telling me my insurance was inactive. Got that straightened out quickly so it wasn’t really an issue but they mentioned my appointment was scheduled for 1/12 not 1/13. So I called again to find out when the appointment was scheduled and yes, they changed the date but didn’t tell me that the week before. I asked again if they knew why the doctor was only doing telehealth visits and they had no clue. It gets better. On the 12th my appointment is at 915AM so I’m sitting at home waiting for the call. It’s now 930, 945, so at 1005 I call to find out what’s going on of course I was put on hold, disconnected and had to call back and put on hold again. Finally I was transferred to the office and spoke to Michelle who told me it was supposed to be an in office visit. Huh? Why was I previously told twice that for the entire month of January Dr Thorp and Dr Huang were only doing telehealth visits. Nobody there knows. Now I’m really getting agitated. Michelle then scheduled my appointment for the 13th at 9AM. Now it’s the 13th, and you guessed it, no phone call again. I call again to find out what’s going on and am told they will get a message to Michelle and I will get a call back. Never happened. Now I’m furious and their y professionalism is unacceptable. So I call the complainant department and after I give Madeleine my story she tells me I have to call yet another department. Seriously!!!!!! A complaint department that doesn’t take complaints. Also Madeleine told me to stop yelling. My voice was raised but I was not yelling because if I had been she’d know it and she hung up on me without giving me the number I needed to complain. I called back, she finally and reluctantly gave me the number. I called again because at that point I didn’t have her name which I definitely wanted after she hung up on me. I tried calling a couple other phone numbers and finally got through to a woman named Joanne who was trying to be very helpful and said she would have someone get back to me. Of course that didn’t happen. I also received another call from the quality management department who told me they needed to do an investigation in that office to see who dropped the ball and that I would get a return call either Thursday 1/13, in the afternoon or on Friday 1/14. You guessed it, NO RETURN PHONE CALL!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS DOCTOR OR HIS USELESS SUPPORT STAFF. Find a doctor and his staff that gives a damn about their patients. I am far from done with this. I’m filling complaints with every state agency I can find even though nothing will probably come of it at least it’ll be on record. The only other thing I can say is that thank goodness I’m not a cardiac patient because I’d probably be dead by now because of the unprofessionalism of this office!!!!!!!!!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would do it in a heart beat !!! Dr Thorp is truly a great Dr , his not only great at what he does but he as so much compassion and understanding towards ur pain , if you are looking for a really good pain management Dr please give him a call , I promise , you will not be disappointed !!

I was suffering from severe pain related to lower back issues (2 herniated disks & Spinal Stenosis) for several months. Visited Dr. Thorp for a consult. After deciding on a treatment, Dr. Thorp was able to eliminate 90% of the pain within a couple of days. Today I am pain free. He is the best! highly recommended.
