Dr. Stephen A. Lewis

Listens well, explains well, conservative but willing to treat or refer when appropriate. My idea of an excellent doctor.

He is a terrible provider and I would never recommend anyone to see him! He rushes appointments and doesn't care about his patients. I felt like he treats me differently compared to others since I am a minority.

I absolutely have no idea why the other reviewer left these two horrible reviews. (Kind of sounds like someone didn't get the script they wanted.) Dr Lewis has been my family's doctor for almost 30 years. He has been everything you would want in a caring, knowledgeable professional. He listens patiently and gives good, practical advice and treatment. I have referred so many friends to him and they are all still there! He is the very best of the best. I am so grateful for him .

I do not recommend him to anyone at all. He did not listen to my concerns and quickly rushed out of the room. His diagnosis was wrong because he gave me medicine that made the symptoms worst. He was not friendly and stared at the computer the whole time. He hurried out of the room as soon as he gave me an answer that I could have googled myself. Then, he tried "selling" me a bunch of screenings that are not covered by insurance companies. Ugh...what a bad experience. I consulted with a different doctor from another clinic and she was able to help me.

I had a terrible experience with Dr. Lewis. He did not hear what I was describing as my painful symptoms, he took a phone call during the appointment and left the exam room and generally disregarded my concern. He also seemed anxious to leave the room after spending two or three minutes with me. His demeanor was very unfriendly overall.

Walked in for my first appt. with Dr. Stephen A. Lewis & the receptionist handed me an Advanced Beneficiary Notice of Noncoverage & told (not asked) me to sign it. It was pretty complicated so I asked if if I could sit down & decipher it. She said "No. You can`t walk off with it". So I started to read it & she said "Just sign it". I asked her if she would make a copy of it & let me sit down & read it first. In a loud voice she turned around to exclaim to her fellow receptionist, "He wants me to copy it!" & her workmate said "Well if that`s what he wants ...". I was embarrassed as a line was forming behind me and instead of making a copy, she said "Follow me". She walked me into an examination room, shut the door & said "Sit down". She handed me the paper which had 3 options and for me to check one. I had a couple questions on the wording & she answered "Oh I don`t know just sign it". she starts to LOUDLY hum a song! I didn`t want to make a scene so I didn`t say anything until I got to

Dr Lewis has been my family's PCP for over 20 yrs. He has always provide excellent care, information, follow-up, long-term, stayed current with specialists who he had recommended for some serious conditions which he was quick to recognize as something different than at our previous visits. I have run on & on but I could continue for days & still not mention all of that good qualities & excellent care he provides. One thing he does better than most Drs is that he listens patiently & carefully. He's never in a rush to move you out & another patient in just to get people through. He truly care about how you feel! He is compassionate & never makes you feel like you're talking to the wall or disregards what you say as something you just imagine. As I said, I could go on & on listing every good point in being a patient of Dr Stephen A Lewis ?? Every word would be a compliment & praise. In all of these 20+ years her has ALWAYS been perfect in every way.

Best doctor I've ever had! That's saying a lot. I've seen many having been born ill & grown to be pretty old ~ ~ ~ I can't say enough good about Dr Lewis & his way of caring for each individuals concerns as if they were the only thing on which to place his attention that day. Dr. Lewis has been my mother’s Physician for about 17 years. She is 82 and absolutely loves him because he is very patient with her and always demonstrates care and professionalism. He takes the time to explain things to her. He is good about following up with her and his staff is good about calling us and reminding us to get her in for her annual checkup's and lab work. Getting an appointment is never hard. They sometimes have same day appointments available and they are always good about calling in refills for her and sending in referrals timely. The wait is never long either. She is usually seen within a few minutes of arriving. The entire staff is friendly, always professional and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend Doctor Lewis and his staff. Dr. Lewis has been my mother’s Physician for about 17 years. Dr Lewis prescribed Lipitor about a year or more ago. I came to him on multiple occasions and always complained about body aches muscle pain and joint pain. I was having difficulty walking. His office ordered X-rays and put me on prescription nsaid med that caused kidney issues and very high blood pressure. I then decided to change MD and was taken off Lipitor and one month later all symptoms are 100% gone. Don’t use this dr. He doesn’t listen to his patients.
