Dr. Guerton is a treasure!! Saved my son after an impalement through his abdomen. It was touch and go but I learned to have high respect and trust for this doctor.
Dr Guertin was my nephews doctor in the pediatric ICU (August 16th & 17th 2018) at Sparrow Hospital. My nephew was discharged hours after being extubated. His throat was very sore from the breathing tube and was eating a lot of popcicles. The nurse took his temp after eating popsicles. I guess she didn’t realize this word affect an oral thermometer. Even though he kept saying he was burning up. He was discharged to another facility and arrived with a temperature of 101.4°. I didn’t want to assume this was not normal, so I contacted 2 friends who are ICU nurses. One in Dallas & one in Lansing. They said in their 24+ years nursing they have never seen a patient dismissed on the same day their breathing tube came out. I give Dr. Guertin 5 stars! But the hospital gets 4 stars for being so confusing to navigate and the parking lot gets 1 star for being impossible to navigate! But Dr. Guertin was AWESOME with me and my 8 year old son! He listened. took notes, and did his job well, along with all of the nurses/assistants.
Dr. Guertin saved my daughter's life. I will never forget his compassion and I am eternally grateful that he was her doctor. I can't speak highly enough of him.
He saved me as a baby. Without him I wouldn't be alive today.
