Dr. Downing and his staff guided my wife and I through the process of aortic valve replacement with fantastic care. I can't thank them all enough. I highly recommend Dr Downing if you have heart issues.

All though this was a very difficult time for me Dr Downing and Brian Hill were outstanding at making my fears subside. They were always a pleasure to deal with. They answered all of my questions and I felt that I was under the best care possible. I would highly recommend Dr Downing and his complete team to my family and friends.

Dr. Downing and his staff are awesome! They are very friendly, knowledgeable, compassionate, understanding, patient, and are very accommodating. If I call the office with a question or concern, I am connected directly to Brian Hill, PA's extension. If he is unavailable, I am able to leave a voicemail, and he promptly returns my call. He will take as much time as necessary to answer all of my questions and address all of my concerns until I feel comfortable. Both he and Dr. Downing explained everything to us in words we could understand, honestly, without "beating around the bush". They both also have a great sense of humor, which is so important to us; makes us feel more at ease and lets us know that they are also human beings with feelings and not robots. After performing my husbands' multiple procedures, I am so impressed with Dr. Downing's abilities and confidence as a surgeon. Thank you all for everything, most importantly for giving my husband a new lease on life.

He's the best doctor to do the bypass surgery

Dr Downing and his entire staff have been excellent in providing care to me. They have pulled me through the biggest crisis in my life in a careful and patient way. I would recommend them to anyone who needed their services. Any questions were answered thoroughly andin a timey manner, and they provided excellent care.

Can't say enough about Dr Downing. Better than excellent surgeon, great bedside manner. In 15 minutes, explains everything you need to know about a surgical procedure. He replaced my aortic valve and left me with hardly any external scar .

I first met Dr. Downing after having had my angiogram. He explained in detail exactly what had to be done. He got me into surgery right away and within 4 days I was out of the hospital and walking around. This is now 3-1/2 weeks later and I am now driving and walking around. I would highly recommend Dr. Downing for any procedure involving your heart. The man has truly saved my life and myself and my family are truly thankful to him. His staff have been very helpful and knowledgeable.

Dr Downing was outstanding. He explained every detail pertaining to my surgery and what to expect afterwards. He was spot on. I have already recommended him to people who may need heart surgery. Brian was great. He is caring,informative and very personable. I never dreaded going to an appointment. The staff was always friendly and helpful.

Dr. Downing and his "team" are very thorough, knowledgeable and caring! I received a new "cow" valve, one artery bypass, and then a pacemaker. In particular, Brian, the P.A. returned my phone calls the same day I called! (I think I called him 4 different times) I highly recommend Dr. Downing and his team! It has been 6 weeks since my surgery, and I'm doing great!!

The moment I walked into Dr. Downing's office I knew I would be well taken care of. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, was kind, courteous and seemed to care about me as a person. After my open heart surgery, which went off without a hitch, they all asked how I was feeling and seemed genuinely interested in my answer, I would recommend Dr. Downing very highly.

I am pleased to recommend Dr. Downing to anyone requiring cardiac surgery. I recently underwent a double bypass and I'm recovering quickly with no complications.

Doctor and PA's explain things well and take their time answering all your questions. Response is great when calling with a question.

My experience with Dr. Downing was very positive. His credentials speak for themselves. and his commitment to his profession is apparent upon first meeting. I have complete faith and trust in him and his expertise. All my questions and concerns were addressed every step of the way and his staff is very accommodating and knowledgeable. I had a triple bypass in March 2017. My surgery went flawlessly, and because Dr. Downing and his staff clearly explained the procedure and what to expect after, there were no surprises for me or my family. I followed all of the rules and recommendations laid out by Dr. Downing and his staff during recovery, and it has resulted, so far, in a quick and easy recuperation. I could not be happier with the care I've received before, during, and after surgery.

I met with Dr. Downing prior to my surgery and found him to be very personable, informative and very reassuring. He took the time to explain exactly what my surgery would involve and how I might feel afterwards. He also made me feel more at ease with the procedure he explained. Dr. Downing and his entire staff performed above and beyond all of my expectations. They spent a great deal of time with my wife and myself discussing my options regarding my surgery. Even with complications shortly after surgery, the Dr. and his entire staff where able to save my life. I can now move on to a normal life after a short recovery period. Dr Downing performed both of my MVR surgeries in 2002 and 2005. He made sure that he explained everything to me in great detail and kept me informed throuhgout. I would highly recommend him to my family or anyone else. When I came back for the second surgery, he remembered things about me and our prior conversations. He even took the time to make the scar from the second surgery less noticeable. I am a lifelong cardiac patient and if/when I find myself in need of a surgeon again, I will be tracking him down.
