Dr Dewan is wonderful! I can’t say enough good things about him. He did remedial heart surgery on me, after surgery in Houston failed after a year. He is very skilled, an exceptional surgeon, and very caring. If Dr Dewan is your surgeon, you will be blessed.

I owe my life to this gifted surgeon. Dr. Dewan is an excellent doctor. He is reassuring, empathetic, and delivers a high level of care.

If you need the best cardiovascular doctor in town, this is your man. Great doctor and very amiable bedside manner.

Great surgeon and very knowledgeable. If I ever need cardiothoracic again Dr Dewan would be my first choice.

Dr. Stephen Dewan is truly a brilliant and masterful heart surgeon. I was blessed to have him as my surgeon recently. He cares and communicates on the human level. My utmost respect and appreciation goes to Dr. Dewan.

I had a great visit with Dr. Dewan. He was very knowledgeable about my situation and was very reassuring about the procedure I would need. Dr. Dewan was very personable. My wife and I feel comfortable with Dr. Dewan. I also wanted to mention that Dr. Dewan's nurse, Emily, has been very friendly, responsive to our calls, and is very knowledgeable. I had a question following our meeting with Dr. Dewan this morning and Emily was immediately able to answer my question. Excellent physician and surgeon.

Dr Dewan performed 3 heart surgeries on my child, who, by all accounts, should not have lived past his first week of life. He literally performed life saving surgery on a tiny, defective heart on a 6 day old, very sick baby, and then again twice thereafter, each time with the odds stacked against him. I’m happy to report that my son will be 20 years old this year, and we owe his life to Dr. Dewan. There are no words for our gratitude, and I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Dewan to anyone reading this. He’s one of the most gifted doctors out there, his bedside manner can’t be beat, and he’s a genuinely good person, as well.

Dr Brendan Dewan saved my life. Not only is he an excellent surgeon, he provided encouragement and honest answers to any inquiry. He performed a triple bypass on me and I have a bright future ahead of me again.

I underwent bypass surgery at Austin Heart Hospital last year. The procedure needed to be done quickly and it happened that Dr. Dewan was the name at the top of the list. Everyone in the hospital assured me if they were in the situation I was, he would be their choice to follow through. As the anestheiologist explained, "We work right with the surgeons. While we have several exceptional surgeons here at Austin Heart, he is just a notch above the rest."

I saw Dr Dewan in 2014 upon the recommendation of my cardiologist. I went to his central Austin office for my appointment and waited for 30 min only to find out that he had to cancel. I was given a new appointment several days later, way up north. (Round Rock?) He told me minimally invasive surgery was not an option for me because I was too "scrawny", which was both wrong and insulting. I went elsewhere and had the minimally invasive surgery done.
