I have never met such a fantastic orthopedic surgeon. I work with doctors daily in my profession. Dr. Benirschke was recommended to me by another physician in Bellevue after I told him that surgery was being recommended for my feet. Dr. B spent 2 hours with me going over my results and discussing the best course of action for my condition. He took the time to get to know me and I felt a part of the decision making process. He might be hard to get into, but he is worth waiting for.

It took awhile to get an appointment and I understand the reason. He’s the best! I traveled out of state after meeting with a surgeon locally. A night and day difference. The surgeon here was only going to correct the result of the problem . Dr B fixes the problem. I felt he genuinely cared about me! He took the time to explain the diagnosis and procedure to me. His bedside manner and follow up were impressive! It’s refreshing to know the medical field still has Marcus Welby’s practicing!

Intelligent, skilled, Kind and showed ability to listen and provide easy to understand Plan of Care!

A botched ankle operation brought me to HBVM, I was lucky to get the chance to be referred to Dr. B. His bedside manner is of a true professional, he knows his stuff! While very technical at times, if you ask him to talk plain and simple, he's more than willing to go into great detail. The medical staff in his office is top notch, and they all do their jobs very well. From the casting room, x-rays, check in techs, and the scheduling staff. Ask plenty of questions and he'll answer them all!

Dr. B has taken care of two foot fractures. Nobody better. Yes the wait is long, but why do you think everyone wants to see HIM! I had been told I needed surgery the last time. Dr. B said no. I had a bad break. I now have zero pain and full function. It was a long road but so worth it. This is the best place on the West Coast.

Dr. Benirschke took me in when I was sent home by peace health in Bellingham wa. The surgeon there said my shattered calcaneus was beyond his scope of expertise. I was extremely lucky he sent me to Dr. B. In Harborview. Dr. Benirschke took me under his wing and got me up and walking again. I would not go to anyone else for these surgeries. I am happy to say I do not walk with a limp and I have gone back to my gym. He and his team have my highest of regards and I will always be eternally grateful

He is the best in the western half of the US! But that's the problem starts,, he's in such high demand that they triple book everyone, and you spend over 2 hrs waiting in that little exam room just to be seen! I had to walk out after spending 3 long hrs in that office waiting and still didn't get seen! I left my house at 9am, and didn't get home until 8pm! And now a wire rod in my foot came loose and is trying to go threw the top of my foot! I am now trying to have the hardware removed locally!
