After 20 years of Ankle pain, had Ankle Replacement. Couldn’t feel better, Dr.Galey came highly recommended and I can see why, the best.

Absolutely would recommend Dr Galey and Carolyn to anyone. I fractured my 5th metatarsal on 12/24/21 and had surgery on 1/20/22. I wanted to wait to have surgery until I knew it was absolutely necessary and she let me make that decision without pressuring me. It was very clear at my follow up appointment that it would not heal without surgical treatment. She and Carolyn are very prompt to answer any questions through MyChart. At visits she is kind and compassionate. She listens to your concerns and answers them the way you can understand them. I had a not so pleasant experience with another orthopedic office in Erie after I had my Achilles’ tendon repaired and she reassured me every step of the way. Dr Galey did surgery on my foot quite a while ago. I absolutely love her. I'm having trouble with my foot other foot now and I am going right back to her for it. She is very easy to talk to and very good at what she does.

Dr. Galey is honestly the best around. She was referred by a friend when I had a bad ankle break. She did surgery and I had to have plates, etc. 4 years later I am still great. If you have to wait, wait. If they don't get back to you immediately, it's because she is a great doctor and everyone wants to use her. You will not go wrong here. I can not rate Dr. Gayley as I can not get an appointment. I have left 6 messages over 3 weeks on the voice mail for her scheduler and when she did call, I missed it and called immediately back only to leave another message. If scheduling is this difficult, I don't have high hopes for the office staff's efficiency. Very sad, as I have heard wonderful things about Dr. Gayley I can not rate Dr. Gayley as I can not get an appointment. After waiting a month to get an appointment after a referral she took 10 minutes it seemed to say “I will not do surgery on your foot and no one who knows what they are doing would either. Said my heart was an issue and pain would be intense. Both contradicted by other surgeons and specialists Handed me a pamphlet with some foot pads and said these might help you. Found two other surgeons who will be able to help. Has good reputation but I feel it is because she only does easy cases and did not speak to either my internist, or cardiologist. Just was not interested in doing the procedure and should have said so. Would have saved time, pain and suffering. In my book, Dr Galey and her team are top notch. She performed my second Achilles’ tendon surgery when at her former practice. I am not crazy about many of the ortho surgeons in her former practice due to prior surgical issues and difficulty getting appropriate diagnoses and care. When I needed help with a botched Achilles repair, I sought out Dr. Galey in Erie. She is a very caring, intuitive, practical, understanding, honest, and skilled physician. Before she could appropriately address the Achilles problem, I fell and broke the other ankle and was in a non-weight bearing cast for a couple of months. I have been receiving wonderful care and treatment from Dr. Galey’s PA, Carolyn Matthews and her Administrative Assistant Jennifer. Dr. Galey was fantastic. I had a triple arthrodesis with Achilles lengtheni done by her. She was compassionate, thorough, knowledgeable. The best experience I have had with a surgeon.

Dr. Galey and her office is outstanding! Everyone in the office from her PA's and nurses to radiology and cast technicians were professional , courteous and above all seemed to enjoy their work. The office is busy and runs like a well oiled machine. The comments made to me were evident those working in the office also had the utmost respect for Dr. Galey. I can see why! She did an excellent job with my surgery and has a wonderful bedside manner. I have only positive things to say!

I was never so cared for by a physician / surgeon. My issues were investigated and found to be valid. It was nice to have the outstanding credentials and a wonderful "bedside manor" all in one. I HIGHLY recommend Stephanie Galey to everyone, since my experience was so positive. Instead of having to do it twice - GO STRAIGHT TO ALDEN and get it done right the first time. In addition, the Meadville Hospital is getting HIGH marks for my care, as well. I will forever be grateful that I was referred to Dr. Galey. She lived up to her impeccable reputation.
