He’s everything you want in a doctor. He listens, very knowledgeable, understands your concerns, doesn’t make you feel like you’re on an assembly line, always pleasant, he is an all around excellent doctor. I’ve recommended him to family and friends and they also love him and feel the same way towards him as I do.

Dr Kantas has been my doctor for several years. I’m in my 70’s and am so glad to have found him. He truly cares about his patients. He has even called me on the weekend to see how I’m doing. Even his staff are friendly and supportive.

I am so very disappointed in the recent performance of this office and it's personal. My husband and I have been patients of this offfice since they where in Lowell. We followed them to Andover and that is a haul from we live We are elderly and and have been effecte by the care this office has been given since the Pandamic started. I would like Dr Kantas to call us personally

He takes the time to sit with his patients and gets to know them and their health history. My aunt has been having issues with insomnia and our previous physician placed her on medications that caused withdrawals if not taken. dr Kantas changed her medication and sleeps soundly. Compassionate, patient, and very personable!

He is useless and could not help me with any of my medical problems. He continued to book appointment after appointment with out any medical interventions. He would book another appointment to "see how I'm doing in a month", when he didn't actually do anything that would help me in that time. I think he was just trying to take advantage of my insurance. The last straw was when I told him how sick I've been and how a really need help and he responded by telling me everything is ok because I am so beautiful... a few months went by and I got a call from them trying to book another appointment. I said no I can't keep paying for this when he doesn't help me. The receptionist asked me if I had reached my deductible because if its covered by insurance then it doesn't matter. I don't care if it is me or insurance paying he shouldn't get the money if he doesn't do anything. I reported him for his inappropriate comment and they discharged me as a patient. No apology from him.

I tried to make an appointment and was told the doctor has to, "get to know me," before they will prescribe any medication. I just moved here from out of state and take several monthly medications. My previous doctor did grant me another refill, but I need a local doctor going forth. Seems to me this doctor is trying to milk insurance by making patients come several times, regardless of past medical history. There is no medical justification to seeing me multiple times before prescribing monthly medications I have taken for over 10 years. The receptionist was uncaring and rude too. I have had Dr. Kantas as my PCP for over 10 years and treats my family as well. Out of all the medical professionals, he truly captures bedside manner. He makes a point to know his patients medical history as well as retaining person aspects shared by patients. He has made visits to the hospital to see his patients on his own time. I have tremendous respect for his demeanor and care. You are not a just number to him. Also, I feel his treatment for conditions are medically solid. I've have had great results under his guidance. He clearly communicates with any other doctors his patients are treated by to ensure a solid collaborative plan. I also appreciate he is not a pill pusher. Instead, when able, he always looks into understanding the condition and recommending lifestyle changes first — when applicable. Of course, when medicinal intervention is required, Dr. Kantas treats as what's needed for each case following medical guidelines. I strongly recommend Dr. Kantas as a PCP.

My parents and I have been going to Dr. Kantas for years, first in Chelmsford and now in Andover. He is very attentive and caring and thorough and responsive if you get to speak to him.

My mother was a patient with dr. Kantas last summer. My mom became ill and admitted to the hospital and showed she had a UTI and was treated for many weeks with strong antibiotics. My moms condition and symptoms we're getting worse with her mental competency and needed dr. Kantas help in referring my mother to see a neurologist asap. He would not respond to any of our calls or many messages we left and had to find our own neurologist and wait another month . Our mom suffered and sadly died May 6

As another poster experienced, I agree, avoid Dr. Spyridon Kantas. He may have been a great doctor at one time but not anymore. His staff seems to be ever changing - probably quitting - and stressed out.

This is my second time filling this out and I took a screen capture to confirm the last one was sent (a month ago = plenty of time to post it). Hmm. Run don't walk. Dr. Kantas...nice guy in a boyish way. Horrific doctor! So many shocking experiences in one day I had to call people and share, as it was almost comical. Of course, looking out for others, I reported him to the medical health bureau (an hour phone review). If you truly care about your health - I beg you - go elsewhere.

A very caring doctor. I adore him. However since he has expanded his office and moved to Andover it is hard to get in and see him. I called about a shoulder injury and was told I should go to a walk in clinic. The office closed at 3:00. I have been a patient since his he took over for Doctor Gagnon. About 15 years. It's the second time I was told to do that. Why have a Primary care if you end spending 3 hrs elsewhere??? Unfortunately I feel that I may have to change my primary care.
