About a year ago my primary care physician referred me to Dr Purswani I was having pain in my neck my back and down my right leg to the point that I can hardly walk he gave me steroid shots in my neck my middle back and in my lower back he did radio frequency I cannot express how much this helped me the pain is just about completely gone I am on blood thinners because of a heart condition and when he goes into my back with the shots for the radio frequencies he is so gentle and so precise that I do not even bleed from their procedure no bleeding at all I also let him do it without any sedation at all he is a god-sent he has gave me my quality-of-life back His staff is very friendly also. Dr. Purswani is a great pain management doctor. I enjoy his friendly demeanor and his assistant is also a delight.

Dr. Purswani and his staff did an excellent job in my recent treatment. They were attentive and courteous. Dr. Purswani answered all my questions and spent time without making me feel rushed. I can say I believe they actually care for their patients. I would recommend him and his staff to my friends and family.

I took my 80 year old mother to get treatment for fractures. He said she needed to loose weight. She is about 160 lbs. He said he couldn't treat her until she lost weight or to find another Dr. He didn't know how to answer some questions I asked. She is supposed to be in pain until then. Very rude. I am beyond impressed with Dr Purswani and his entire staff. He goes above and beyond what I have experienced with pain management physicians in the past. As a patient with a 30+ year history of back problems, including multiple surgeries, MRI’s , myelograms, various spinal injections , I appreciate his attention to my well being as a whole as well as the condition causing my pain. I can’t say enough good things about the care I receive

No help. Went with alot of pain because of fractures and he said to get on a diet. Until some weight is lost, he can provide treatment or find another Dr!

I began seeing Dr. Purswani on October 2017 due to my regular doctor going to work for an insurance company. I had a full knee replacement on September 20, 2017 and am still having pain. On the second time I saw Dr. Purswani instead of helping me deal with my pain, he took a dose away cutting it down from taking (3) daily to (2) daily. Dr. Purswani isn’t great but he’s ok. His assistant which I never bothered to find her name is very unprofessional. At one time I asked her what had she said and told her I had hearing problems. She then started mocking me talking to me with her hands, not using sign language but being rude by waving her hands when she was talking. From that day on she continued to consider my disability a joke. Every time I would see Dr. Purswani she continued to ask me if I had hearing aids. I kept telling her I couldn’t afford them but she kept asking. I find her behavior very offensive and disrespectful. I’m (66) years old and age has nothing to do with it but nobody should have to put up with this type of behavior and treatment. She is the main reason I will not see Dr. Purswani any longer. Dr. Shyam S Purswani is a great pain doctor! I didn’t know what I was missing. I have been to so many different pain doctors in ten years. Most of them put me on massive, opiate pain relievers and then wondered why I had trouble working or why I was unhappy with my life. Other doctors and offices treated me like I was an inconvenience. I was just another in a long line of patients to be seen that day. I felt judged. Once I would see a doctor, they would take as little time as possible with me. Visits felt rushed and pain medication seemed to be an afterthought, though one office gave me a urine test before each visit. Dr. Purswani is the pain doctor I didn’t know I could get. He accepted me as a new patient after the office staff of my last doctor dropped me without warning. Purswani and his nurse, Lucy, fixed up the administrative problems I had with that office to the best of their ability. Purswani and Lucy talk to me and take the time to know what my problems are. Purswani offered suggestions (which I intend to follow, when I am able) to help repair my body so that my pain level is minimized. Purswani talked with me about the different medications I was currently on and has worked with me to change them to medications that would work better for me. So far, I am beyond happy that I am finally seeing a doctor that is interested in treating me, the patient, and not just my pain. During one visit, he even noticed that my neuropathic foot was very swollen and he directed me to see my PCP right away. It turned out that I have serious Gout in that foot; I am on a new medication to help with that. I am very grateful for Dr. Purswani catching this affliction before things got worse; I had thought it was no big deal as I had issues with this foot for almost a decade up until now. Do yourself a favor and see Dr. Purswani. He is kind, knowledgeable and very interested in helping the patient rather than keep them hooked on serious and expensive medication that may be doing the patient more harm than good. Dr. Shyam S Purswani is a great pain doctor! I didn’t know what I was missing. I have been to so many different pain doctors in ten years. Most of them put me on massive, opiate pain relievers and then wondered why I had trouble working or why I was unhappy with my life. He offered suggestions to help repair my body so that my pain level is minimized and listened to my concerns about harmful or expensive medications. He and his nurse, Lucy, are courteous and take the time to understand you.

Because they really care for their patients.

I would not recommend Dr Purswani to either my friends or family due to the lack of respect he shows his patients. If you have chronic pain issues (10 years of documentation, injured in 2006) he automatically labels you as a drug seeker/addict and does nothing to find the root cause of the pain. The purpose of pain management is to manage the pain, this man is unprofessional to say the VERY least and does not listen to his patients. I would not darken his door and have fired him for this reason.
