Dr. Shriti Bharat Patel

This woman should be incarcerated. I was 22 years old with PTSD and went through *20* electroconvulsive treatments under Dr Patel. The first day I remember the others waiting for ECT, several immobile, and all appearing cognitively impaired. Dr Patel was fresh out of residency and is/was the ECT director of which she was far too inexperienced. During those months of ECT I remember no specific conversations or events. I would do an ECT and go home and sleep until the next ECT in a few days. I was not getting better from my mental illness and she continued ECT until the point that I myself said I was done. They recommended I continue. ECT is an effective treatment performed at the right place by the right doctor. She also described me as homosexual in her notes (which I now have) “homosexual” being an outdated term to describe one’s sexuality

Dr. Patel and her team are so caring and professional. I highly recommend her!

This physician addresses the needs of her patients in such a genuinely kind and caring manner. She is has such a positive approach and should feel so gratified in how she has improved the lives of her patients and that of the patient’s families as well. Dr. Patel treated my husband three years ago and changed our lives for the better. My husband had been deeply depressed for years. He has not had any anxiety since being treated by Dr. Patel. Unlike the many psychiatrists that we had seen, Dr. Patel was caring, gentle, understanding and kind. I am greatly appreciative and thank God for her.
