Sheldon D Solomon

I have been a patient of Dr. Solomon for almost 18 years. If it wasn't for Dr. Solomon, I honestly don't know where I would be physically and mentally. He not only LISTENS to me, but HEARS me. I am more than grateful to this gracious man. He literally saved my life. I was a dance teacher. After years of moving freely then almost completely stationary, he gave me my life back.

While Dr. Solomon technically took a lot of time for my visit, almost 80% of the visit was spent with him berating and shaming me for my body because when I listed my concerns to him the most minor was a concern for some of my labs and whether or not I might also have a thyroid issue. Instead of addressing my major concerns regarding chronic ailments (sleep disruption, pain, numbness etc) he told me I was eating too much, he didn’t believe in the modern approach to metabolisms, and continued to body shame me throughout my visit. It didn’t matter to him that I’ve run marathons and train consistently, he made me feel humiliated and debased. He argued with me over whether or not I knew what a fever was and challenged me over why I was on birth control. Then he gave me a diagnosis of a disease within his scope of practice, an out of date article on the disorder and told me “there’s nothing more you need besides to lose weight.” Awful visit. Not helpful. Younger females avoid. Unsubscribe.

My appointment wasn't rushed. He asked questions, listened to my husband and I, gave me a comprehensive examination, checked test results taken afterwards and then ordered further tests that he felt needed based on previous information. Very thorough, kind, professional, and compassionate and has a sense of humor.

Dr. Solomon is excellent. He has discovered every major health issue that I have had based on his comprehensive and thorough knowledge of auto-immune diseases. He has been my doctor for over 20 years and he is the model of what all doctors should be.

I have been a patient of Dr. Solomon for 35 years. I have Lupus. He is very knowledgeable and has saved my life more than once. He is a great doctor and a kind and caring person.

INACCURATE RECORDS/POOR COMMUNICATION. Got copies of records needed for another doctor. According to Dr. Solomon I denied abdominal pain. That was one of my major complaints! According to the records my son is also dead from a car accident! Sorry but he is quite alive and well. Refused to discuss his diagnosis, saying I'd just confuse myself. Got 100x more info from a specialist and now know what I should and shouldn't be doing for my condition. Whatever you do, get a second opinion and more info. Wow.

Dr. Solomon is knowledgeable, kind and thorough. I'm very impressed.

He obviously knows a lot and was helpful in some areas but was rude how he went about it. He badmouthed my asking a simple question about statistics from medical research article saying google doesn't know more than his medical degree. I wasn't asking about internet junk! Then he pulls out his cell and asks Siri a question! Wait...Apple's Siri knows more than his medical degree?? Then he got very rude saying myself and my spouse were paranoid because we did not like having Siri listening in on our conversation.( he did not turn it off) He doesn't know as much as he likes to think he does. He also pushed heavy for an IV therapy, even telling me I'd have to probably take pills first to make my insurance happy and how to lie about side effects of the pills to his nurse so my insurance would approve the IV therapy. He refused to answer other questions we had, waving them aside, saying they weren't important. Time to retire doc.

Dr. Solomon is very knowledgeable, he has a wonderful bed side manner, he listens when the patient speaks and he talks to you so that you understand what's going on. I think he is fabulous

Dr. Solomon is always attentive to my arthritic problems and very gentle with his treatment if an injection is indicated. I would rate him a 6 if it were possible!!

Dr Solomon is a knowledgeable and caring physician. He is a good listener and takes time to answer all of your questions.

Dr Solomon took so much time and genuine interest with my care and concerns about my illness. He looked at my records, called me by name and listened to my history without cutting me off. His exam was one i haven't had in a long time. From head to toe, including neck range of motion, bending all the way over, tension pulls Spine and body check. I can't say enough about the time and discussion Dr. Solomon took with me. His explanation of things set me at ease and prepared this patient well.

Dr. Solomon is the most caring, professional, knowledgeable, and patient physician we have seen in many years. His bedside manner is unmatched. His thoroughness in discovering the cause and appropriate treatment of disease is unparalleled in our opinions. You could not find a Rheumatologist.

I would definately recommend Dr Solomon. He is very thorough, compassionate and supportive.

Truly treats me like family. I appreciate the focus and attention I receive during the appointment. I hope other doctors learn from Dr. Solomon - especially in today's environment where we tend to prioritize profits over quality care.

This is a review of the new facilities that Arthritis, Rheumatic and Back Disease Assoc to which the office has moved. There is only two handicapped parking slots, this for a practice that services a good number of disabled or handicapped people. There is not adequate signage, I followed the map, but saw some others driving around looking for the office. The new parking area is crowded, only three patient designated slots, everyone else has to look around for a open spot somewhere else.

Dr. Solomon took the time to talk to me which is something I don't always get when I go to a new doctor. He gave me a thorough examination. Also, his support staff is very nice, polite, and respectful.

Awesome doctor because his medical knowledge goes beyond rheumatology which helps me stay healthy overall. His staff is very helpful and so kind. Nicest group I've ever encountered!

He is the best in caring for my knee problem. I have bone on bone condition and we are working together to avoid knee replacement surgery.. I have had several years of injections consisting of synvisc, cortisone, gel one, and now the new gel syn. I have high expectations of the outcome. I didn't even feel my shot today given by Dr. Shelly. Happy Camper.

Excellent physician! Very thorough, listens to your concerns, explains conditions and treatments in great detail, doesn't rush his patients through a visit, has wonderful caring personality and goes above and beyond to help his patients. He is the epitome of what a good doctor should be and I'm glad I'm under his care. His staff is also wonderful. This office is the best!

I had an excellent appointment with Dr. Solomon yesterday. He was thorough, informative, and answered all my questions. I learned a lot about how nutrition can provide more help in strengthening my bones. I look forward to using his suggestions for a healthy lifestyle.

Dr.Solomon is the kindest, most knowledgeable and patient doctor. He is always interested in what you are talking about and has all the correct answers as how to treat the problem I might have when I see him. Would highly recommend him to my friends and family .

Dr. Solomon has been my doctor since May of 2002. He is very knowledgeable. I just love him & hope he doesn't retire. He really cares & has great empathy for his patients. As I told Dr. Solomon at my recent visit, I learned more from him than any doctor that I have had experience with. He answered my questions in a way that I could understand from a patient's perspective. I have already recommended him to my friends and family! His staff was very friendly and helpful at every visit.

Dr. Solomon was recommended to me and after many years and test with a lot of other doctors he came back with an answers for me. Last night was the first time in years that I was able to get some sleep without pain and didn't wake up feeling like I was a zombie. Not only does he take the time to talk with you by not rushing you out, his staff are also just as helpful and caring as him. They also call you back when you leave a message within a reasonable time frame. Strongly recommend him.

Dr. Solomon listens with his eyes and ears. He does not sit behind a computer. He cares for me with respect and honest concern. His office is pleasant with relaxing music. He always is kind and gentle. Dr. Solomon is a leader in his practice and I am blessed to have him as my doctor. I found Dr. Solomon 9 years ago. I trust him and his opinion. He is an expert in his field.

After years of inexplicable cramps and pain, my GP suggested that I see Dr. Solomon. After the first visit, he thought I had celiac disease but tests would be necessary. The results confirmed his suspicion and my life changed dramatically. Seven years later, those debilitating cramps are gone and I feel terrific. Now living at the Jersey shore, Dr. Solomon is the only doctor that I didn't replace. It's worth the long drive to see the man who changed my life. Dr. Solomon is the real deal.

Dr. Solomon is the old school Doctor, he does not rush through the visit. He has answered every question I have asked of him and will continue to talk and explain until you are satisfied. The most important thing to me that Dr. Solomon does is he talks to me in layman's term. I think that is part of his charm. I have and will tell anyone about him.

I could not have been more impressed with my experience at the Arthritis, Rheumatic and Back Disease. associates.The Professionalism and understanding displayed by the entire staff especially Dr. Solomon put me at ease immediately and it was such a great relief. Dr. Solomon is an exceptional Physician in every sense a healer should be. He is terrific explaining conditions, treatments etc. His staff every one of them is conscientious, thorough and so very helpful and pleasant. This is an extremely outstanding practice. I would definitely use this physician and this practice.

I owe the quality of my life today to this Doctor.I Have been under his care for 33 years since a lupus diagnosis.His continuous diligence and oversight of all aspects of my health has allowed me to age and live a wonderful life.He even took charge of the psychological health since along with the initial diagnosis and changes I needed to make were accompanied by depression. He is an incredible human being as well as a great doctor. Any person would be fortunate to be treated by him.

Dr. Solomon is one of the best doctors I have ever dealt with. He is kind and extremely up to date on all the newest findings in his field. He is down to earth in his dealings with patients and explains everything in a very detailed manner. Always feel better after seeing him.

Let me say this I have been going to Dr. Solomon for about twenty years and he is one of if not the most caring doctors I have ever known, also he is the best in Rheumatology.

Dr Sheldon Solomon was very professional and I love his mannerism. Very easy to talk to and he listened to all I had to say!!! He explained everything and was very patient with me. I have already recommended him to four people. Good sense of humor not stiff like some doctors.

He is always up to date on current practices, takes time to listen to my mother's mobility issues. Concerned for her well being both physically and emotionally and has helped her through difficult fracture issues.
