Comes highly recommended, organization seems well established, staff is professional and well organized, Dr. Kurpad has a good team around him, which reflects well on his abilities on multiple levels. My procedure was timely and appears to have gone well.

dr Kurpad is conservative in his approach to healing the patient. With his approach I was able to listen to his instruction and make sure I did my part I. The healing process based on his solid recommendations of best practices I think he also has a wonderful supportive educated staff as team members

I have always heard horror stories about back surgery, so when I needed back surgery I was Leary. Dr. Kurpad knew exactly what the problem was with my back from my MRI. He explained what he would do to fix my back and made me feel at ease.

I was very pleased with the outcome of my severe spinal stenosis surgery. Shortly after I had awoken from surgery I was told to get up out of bed and start walking and was surprised to learn that I no longer suffered with pain, weakness, numbness and tingling in my legs and my feet. The back and leg pain I had been experiencing for almost 4 months was almost negligible after my surgery - on that day!!

This is my 2nd back surgery by Dr Kurpad and I would not hesitate to see him again for any back issues. I like his care team. Someone is always available if I have questions. I also appreciate video visits since I drive from Racine to Milwaukee.

I met with Dr.Kurpad. He recommended a surgical procedure that would relieve the sciatic nerve pain . Now at 2 weeks after surgery I am able to bear weight and walk using only a cane with NO sciatic pain! It was a relatively short surgery lasting about an hour and 15 minutes. I was able to go home the night of the procedure . The surgical site pain was intense at first but I used only non prescription pain relievers and a cold pac above and below the incision and after a few days I was able to shower and slowly dress myself unassisted!! Each day I am feeling stronger and working up to walking a mile and a quarter over the course of each day. Considering I had been using a mobility scooter since May being able to do this is a very big deal!

Dr Kurpad and his staff were great to work with, his NP is wonderful-very personable and professional. The day of surgery went well, my pain was immediately gone and I was able to leave the hospital the same day! Thank you for everything.

Dr Kurpad is a MOST excellent spine specialist. I went to him for a few yrs & reasons. Most importantly he surgically removed a tumor from the inside of my spinal cord. I am forever grateful for his skill, it was 100% success. I also had a cervical nerve impingement that several other surgeons would've done a fusion. My neurosurgeon retired referred his patients to Froedert spine clinic Dr Kurapd saying he would be working there part time ! DO NOT ever SEE Dr Kuroas arrogant uncaring neurosurgeon. I waited 1 1/2 hours to see him was forgotten and no one around after a scoliosis and many neck back surgeries told me I needed core strengthening! Do Not ever see this MD he has no manners at all! He did a great job in laying out my case and the progression of my condition. He took a conservative approach which minimized the the extent of the surgery.

Dr. Kurpad is an excellent doctor. He pinpointed my problem when three other doctors missed it. I would highly recommend him without reservation.

I was having severe back pain from a prior lumbar fusion (November 2000). I saw the doc and he reviewed all my images, asked me specific questions and recommended surgery after pain management kept telling me I had arthritis. I had a lumbar fusion sx (surgery) December 2019 and I feel great. The pain I had before sx is gone. Dr Kurpad’s staff is amazing. If I had a question or concern, i was always able to get through to his nurse. If she was unavailable, the called was always returned within and hours. It was an excellent experience and I highly recommend

This is my second spine surgery with Dr. Kurpad. My first was cervical and my most recent, lumbar. After referral, at my first visit, Dr. Kurpad came right to the point of my spine issue. He explained surgery was necessary. I expressed I wanted to have the procedure as soon as possible. And he and his staff immediately began the process of informing me of the surgery details. Dr. Kurpad answered all my questions and was not in a hurry to move on until I was finished. The surgery itself was a best case scenario. He was able to avoid using hardware which was such a relief. My recovery has been better than expected. I am truly grateful to Dr. Kurpad and his staff for their expertise, their attention to my needs and their kindness. I highly recommend Dr. Kurpad for cervical and lumbar surgery.

Dr. Kurpad is top rated in all areas of his profession. When I met him he studied my history my MRIs everything before I got to my appointment. When he spoke with me he asked me questions and listened very intently to what I had to say. He explained my condition through visuals showing me both of my MRI results and comparing them. He was easy to understand speaking in layman‘s terms so a patient could comprehend. He was able to operate on me within a couple weeks of my appointment which is exactly what I needed because my pain was getting so bad. I’m still in recovery but feeling 100% better than pre-surgery. The surgery was a success and I would recommend Dr. Kurpad to anyone with chronic nerve pain!

It was not easy finding this doctor w UHC doctor lists, but an extensive internet search and asking people I did find him. He is an incredible surgeon. The office staff and PAs are very good. The office answers voice mail if they are paged and not accessible w/n 12-24hrs. Very concerned and responsible to answering questions.

Office visits would have been more helpful with more information on findings of tests. Decision to proceed with surgery was the correct decision - major improvement. Entire medical team was excellent.

Dr. Kurpad is very compassionate and makes you feel very comfortable. I had relief immediately after my surgery.

Very happy I had a 2nd opinion apt. with Dr. Kurpad, and after talking with him changed my surgeon to him. His team always answered my calls promptly if I had questions after surgery. I would hightly recomend him.

Dr. Kurpad's team was great when I had the spinal surgery. The whole experience felt like a 5 star hotel but for a hospital experience. This is a first class operation - do not change a thing. Nurses and physical therapy staff were very attentive.

Has a lot of experience and expertise. Very confident in what he can and cannot do . He has surrounded himself with an excellent team in the operating room and in the hospital orthopedic floor. This is what they do over and over, and they do it well and with compassion.

Dr Kurpad was wonderful. Not only is he excellent technically, he is outstanding with talking to the patient He really listens to me and explains things extremely well! I am very thankful I have him as my surgeon. His team is also wonderful -everyone I have encountered! Froedtert Community General was a great place to have surgery as well - great facility and people. Beside the excellence of Dr Kurpad, I would like to mention how wonderful the night nurse Emily was ! I thank her as well.

I like the way Dr Kurpad treets your concerns as well as his attitude toward you. He has a way of making you feel like there are treatments to help you get your health back.

My experience with Dr. Kurpad was way above my expectations. This is a caring, conscientious, and very thorough man, who has one of the best personalities and bedside manor I have come across. The team he has assembled all seem to have the same outlook on the surgery, healing process. All in all I would rate him a 5 out of 5 any day.
