If I could place 0 stars I would. She gave my father a false diagnose about a tumor which led my fathers whole family into tears and grief for a whole 3 weeks. My father ended up not having a tumor at all and he was just fine, she gave a horrible diagnosis and it was completely wrong. Find yourself a better doctor.

I became Dr. Sheila Jahan's patient a little over two years ago (time flies!!). I have suffered from Chronic Migraines my entire life and have been seeing another very well known neurologist in Washington DC for the past 6+ years. I switched to Dr. Jahan and I am so happy that I did. She has literally changed my life. She has helped me alleviate my chronic migraines from daily life practices that I must change as well as medication. She is currently helping me transition off my medication (which i have been dependent on for 6+ years) and due to her advice, encouragement etc. I am on day #2 of being 100% off migraine medication as well as MIGRAINE FREE!! Every time I have gone to the office in my personal experience, I have a short wait (if any!) and always had nothing but very friendly experiences with all support staff as well as with Dr. Jahan. One thing i particularly like about Dr. Jahan is that she sits with you and LISTENS. I have never felt rushed etc. If you want a doctor that cares about her patients whole heartedly, will fix your ailment/illness and get to the bottom of it.... Dr. Jahan is my top recommendation!! I have set up three separate appointments with her. The first one I never received a call about the appointment being moved online because she could not make it into the office. The second time she didn't show up because she was delayed and the other doctor wrote a random prescription for me. The third time I arrived at 10 am because that was the time for the appointment, I waited until 10:30 am before leaving. I called, knocked, and got no answer. They then called me at 11:30 am to tell me "I missed my appointment." I am now looking to find a new doctor because this was unacceptable from the first moment.

Very rude, will never go to her again. She doesn’t even know what she’s doing and giving very unprofessional and rude comments. If I could place 0 stars then I would absolutely will.

She’s money hungry! I was seen by her in April for five minutes . My co payment was 50 dollars which I paid (even though I felt like it was waste of money) In July I received a bill for another 50! My family and I took my debilitated grandpa to this office, expected better from the experience I had with this. My grandpa is very weak and we decided to get an examination to find out how bad of his health he is. Today, during the examination Dr. Shiela Jahan straight forward in a unkind way told my grandpa that he smells very bad and he should take a shower; that was very rude of her because he cannot take a shower himself as he needs support to do so. Another way she told my grandpa was that he should leave open the windows because he smells very bad, which is very unkind and blasphemous. I can now see the point of views of other representatives that had a bad experience with Dr. Sheila Jahan. Let me also mention that my grandpa is an elderly and he cannot speak but he can understand what people are saying to him. A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I didn't even get an opportunity to see the doctor because she (and her partner) have canceled my appointment three times. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME! While I understand that emergencies arise, to keep canceling on a patient, especially when he/she is sick, and to offer no other alternative but to reschedule, is inexcusable. Shame on you, your partner, and your entire organization!

I booked an appointment on line on Zocdoct. I got a email that my appointment was cancelled she still charged me any way. You never get the right location that she gonna be at and always getting the run around. So please save your time and dont go to her she not worth it

I been trying to call this office number but no one ever pick up the phone. I wonder if they are still in business?? Any thoughts?

Dr. Sheila Jahan is so wonderful! She is equally intelligent and thoughtful - the perfect combination for an excellent doctor. Her diagnostic skills are extraordinary and she makes you feel as though you are the most important person in the world to her. The Best!!!

Very poor. Being charged for appointmet that was canceled i refuse to pay

Dr. Jahan is wonderful. After seeing two other neurologists to solve my servere headache issues, she solved my problems in one visit. Dr. Jahan is very understanding. She has excellent bedside manners.

Very mixed. Though my daughter's treatment appears to have been appropriate. Dr. Jahan is not board certified in neurology. The Falls Church location is in an office space that is a) rather run down, and b) shared with a completely unrelated business. Admin is hopeless; payments are not credited and insurance adjustments are not handled correctly. We are currently being dunned for payments we made nearly a year ago. It is very difficult to get hold of a human for urgent medical questions.

The Neurologist Sheila Jahan is very rude, unprofessional and condescending. After going to the back I waited an hour before she came in to see me. After examining me and making recommendations I gave my opinion on what I was hoping for out of the visit and that's when all hell broke loose. She became irate, started yelling at me, then said to me "DO U READ ENGLISH" then you tell me what the hospital discharge papers says. I am not reading all of that. She was telling a at me and was very irate

Dr Jahan is a great doctor n I trust her completely. I went to her years ago due to the pain in my legs n back n didn’t know what it really was from n she found one of the sources n helped me with it . Sheila’s a nice n sweet lady I’m so glad I chose her n I’ve referred about six people to her n they love her also Tammy Gernandt

It is my first time to see with Dr.sheila and i love her hospitality she try to keep comfort the feeling of patient and kind of helpful i hope to treat me like my first time for the rest appintmet and i appreciate the way she treat me in the previous appointment coz i am improving my health through the medicine that she gave me may God help her to do the best for my next appintment and i recommend for people to see her and know her. Dr. Jahan has been my family doctor for years. She has treated my mom, dad and grandmother. She is precise, thorough and to the point. She is very helpful and understanding... I love that she explains everything to her patients understanding; also to family members requested. I love that she creates relationships with her patients (understanding their past will help their future). Shes always available, especially in case of emergencies... Shes a very busy lady and EVERY TIME we've needed ANYTHING she didn't hesitate to provide assistance. She fights for whats right and fair when dealing with other entities... Dr. Sheila Jahan is an amazing Neurologist that has treated me for almost 20 years. She has seen me through some tough times when my seizures were out of control, but she continued to give me hope and she did find a solution and my seizures no longer control me. Thank you

Avoid this office. Incompetent administration and a doctor who rushes you out the door while she double-books. I came to my appointment early to make sure I got all my paperwork done only to find out that they had booked another patient at the exact same time as me. This meant I had to wait way past my assigned time (even though my appointment was at the beginning of the day). When I was finally able to see the doctor, she rushed through speaking with me and barely explained what was wrong and what could be done before she ran out the door. After getting the run around with the administrative staff about setting up an offsite lab test over the next few days I decide to cancel all future appointments with this doctor and seek help elsewhere. At that point I thought my trouble with this office was over. I was wrong. The staff kept both of my appointments on record and I have now had to call twice to get them to cancel them. At this point I can't tell if incompetence reigns supreme in this office or if they like to hunt for cancellation fees. Avoid this office. Dr. Jahan is a lovely, lovely person. I could tell that she very much cared about what was going on with me and the frustration I've had with trying to get medication and resolution on my chronic migraines. That said, she was point blank with me that she will not prescribe a medication I take as a rescue med because it is a controlled substance and she does not want to lose her license due to the amount of tracking that goes along with it. It's only Percocet but due to more stringent drug laws, a medication and treatment plan that has worked for me for 20+ years is now out the door. She told me to get Botox shots even though my insurance wouldn't cover it - I don't have $1500+ to pay for that. She then suggested that I get occipital nerve blocks - I had that done in the past and not only was it expensive, it was extremely painful and did nothing to help. I asked her what my options were for pain control since she would not write for the medication I take and she said Advil, Aleve, or a muscle relaxant (which won't do anything for pain - duh!). I told her how much Advil and Aleve I was already taking with zero effect and she was mortified, saying it was too much. My response to that is if someone would provide the proper relief and the medication I know works, then there wouldn't be this problem. Her only other solution was to put me on a preventative medication (amitryptaline) and roll the dice to see if that works. I am not happy with that because I don't want to be on a medication that alters my brain chemistry. For breakthrough pain she said go the the ER, which is not a feasible solution. She also referred me to a pain management doctor so that I could get pain control medication. She did refill my one migraine medication but I told her that my insurance was going to require pre-auth before it was filled. She said that the pharmacy will just contact her and she'll do the pre-auth then. Why not do it before and not waste more time, especially when she knew I had no meds? Now I have to leave the country and suffer if I happen to get one. Wait time was about half an hour past my appointment; the rooms were full of people ahead of me (approximately 5). This made me very late for getting back to work. The 3 stars reflects Dr. Jahan and her staff. I liked them a lot, but I will not be able to return to this practice since she made it abundantly clear that the care I need will not be provided by her. Dr. Jahan is a lovely, lovely person. This doctor is awful. I went to go see her because I was having some issues with headaches, I sat in the waiting room for 45 minutes as I see her going in and out of what seemed to be 3-4 different rooms. After finally being called back, Dr. Jahan seemed to be pre-occupied with other tasks. She even left the room in the middle of me explaining my symptoms to her to take an "urgent" phone call. To make matters worse Dr. Jahan completely mispelled my name on the prescriptions given to me so I was not able to get them at the local pharmacy. The pharmacist said she left 2-3 voice mails asking Dr. Jahan to verify that I saw her so I could get my prescription. it has been 2 weeks and I have yet to get phone call to pick up my prescription. Absolutely unprofessional and uncaring. by all means do not go to her. This doctor is awful.
