Shoutout to Dr. Kuhns who performed oral surgery on me and removed my wisdom teeth with only local anesthetic. I didn’t even swell AT ALL and healed perfectly. Couldn’t have had a better experience and I recommend him to anyone who is having anxiety about the procedure!

Dr. Christopher Kuhns and his staff were exceptional. I had a jaw tooth removed without any pain and was in and out of the office within 30 minutes. At home, one tylenol was all I needed after the numbness wore off. Dr Kuhns called later in the day to see that everything was okay. The next morning I was pain free and delighted with my results. Amazing!

I recently had my lower (mandible) wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Lippisch. I was very apprehensive about having this procedure. I’m 72 years old and everyone had been telling me that my face was going to swell up as if I had mumps and that I was going to be miserable for 2-3 days. Well none of that occurred. I was not in pain at all, just mild discomfort easily controlled with ibuprofen. Dr. Lippisch as well as the office personnel were wonderful. I had such an amazing experience at this place! I came to here to get my wisdom teeth removed. Everyone here made me feel SO comfortable. Dr. Lippisch did my surgery and he is so nice! When you have a paralyzing fear of dentists and your anxiety causes you to hyperventilate, cry and shake, being told that you need surgical procedures for implants is horrifying. Add to this having autoimmune diseases, well giving up would have been an option. Fortunately for me I was referred to Dr. Engebretsen, Oral Surgeon, in Stuart for a consult. His office was made aware of my fears, anxiety and underlying medical conditions. From the moment I walked into the office I was able to tell that behind every mask was a welcoming smile. I could tell by their eyes. They treated me with the utmost care and respect even though I was shaking and crying. Dr. Engebretsen took his time to explain the procedures but what struck me was how concerned he was for me, how can he help to reduce my fears, my anxieties. Amazingly all the promises he made to me were kept. I must also mention his amazing staff. You spend time with them arranging appointments, reviewing paperwork, during surgery and after care. They are all there for you whether to calm you down, wipe your tears, hold your hand when you are at the cosmetic dentist who inserts your first set of temporary teeth. But what is very special – the smiles behind their masks when you show off your new smile. Whether or not you have a fear, you owe it to yourself to arrange for a consult. I have known Dr. Shawn Engebretsen since I was a child. He removed my wisdom teeth, and now has taken care of my son's wisdom teeth removal. Not only is the office staff professional, they go above and beyond to make sure each patient is well cared for. Dr. Engebretsen personally makes sure EACH of his patients are doing well after his or her procedure. As a child/teen, I remember him calling each patient on his drive home from work to check on them. (I used to babysit for his kids & spent a lot of family time with them). He STILL does this. I have been avoiding takin out my wisdom teeth for years basically because I have heard horror story’s. Dr. Engebretson removed mine yesterday and did a wonderful job I have a no pain at all or swelling. He even called to check on me last night and let me ask question. I recently bit the bullet to get the tori removal surgery with Dr. Enge. My rather large bottom tori growth was beginning to impact my speech. I dreaded the thought, but was actually amazed at how reasonably painless it was.(the first 2 days were a bit rough!) I followed their instructions, rested, iced, (lots of Popsicles!) and took the pain meds! Within 2 weeks I was eating and feeling quite normal. When I got my wisdom teeth removed I was extremely nervous at first but the staff was very reassuring & let me know that it would be over before I knew it. They did an awesome job getting my wisdom teeth removed & I would highly recommend them.

Dr. Lippisch and Dr. Engebretsen treated both of my grandparents and placed dental implants. I wouldn't trust any other surgeons to treat my family. They were both professional and extremely caring.

Extremely professional and kind office! I was told that Dr. Engebretsen’s office was the best in town for oral surgery and I was not disappointed! Dr. Engebretsen’s office is SO kind and accommodating! All the girls up front and in the back (dental assistants) went out of their way to explain the process of my oral surgery and answer any and all questions I had. They took their time to make sure I knew how to prep for surgery and gave me very clear post-op instructions. Dr. Engebretsen himself was also so kind and professional. I love this office! All the staff are so nice and very professional. Its clean and sterile. I had my wisdom teeth extracted here and then went to have implants. Unfortunately my bone structure didnt like the implants, but I was informed of all and every possible pro and/or con. Dr. E is amazing. I went today bc I dont trust my new dentist, I voiced what I thought was going on and she was stern and unpleasant and told me I was wrong and that she knew better. Two of my kids had their wisdom teeth taken out by Dr. Engebretsen and one with Dr. Lippisch both doctors took great care of my teenagers with their first surgery. Everyone’s surgery went great and uneventful. Also appreciated the after hours phone calls to check up on them. Highly recommended

Dental insurance acceptance needs to be prior to any appointment. Lesson learned. My daughter was referred to Lippisch by her Orthodontic Dentist to have her wisdom teeth removed. I made an appointment with Lippisch and gave our dental insurance as well as filled out the forms prior to the appointment. My wife took my daughter to the appointment and she was seen by Lippisch. It wasn't until after that she was told that they are out of network and do not accept our dental insurance. A consultation appointment ran ~$200. Shame on me for not verifying they were on our insurance. Shame on Lippisch for not letting us know until after my daughter was seen. Dental insurance acceptance needs to be prior to any appointment. Dr. Engebretsen is simply the best - he does a great job explaining everything about what is going on - and what should be done to fix the problem. I have used him twice now, once for wisdom teeth removal at the Stuart office and most recently for a dental implant at the PSL office. Both staffs are also very friendly and easy to work with.
