Dr. McKenzie is one of the kindest and considerate doctors I have had the privilege to use. He took his time each time I met with him and answered questions that my family and I had.

Dr McKenzie spends time with you to explain what needs to be done and the benefits of the procedure. He cares about you when you need him the most.

Dr. Shaun McKenzie is a true blessing. He has a passion for helping his patients with his extreme level of knowledge, amazing surgical skills and wonderful bedside manners. He explains clearly and thoroughly, encourages questions all with a big confident smile. Dr. McKenzie and his medical team performed an extensive liver resection (stage 4 liver cancer). I am happy to say, I have been in remission immediately following surgery! Even my general physician, oncologist and ERCP gastro surgeon are impressed... Thank you Dr. McKenzie! You are godsend!

I truly believe that Dr. McKenzie saved my life. He is always on time and explains what we need to do. He performed major surgery, the Whipple Procedure, and everything went well. I am so grateful he is my surgeon and always ready to do what is best for me. He is never rushing and answers all my questions and concerns.

Dr. McKenzie is truly a very caring and attentive doctor. He will spend the time with you until all your questions are answered and he does not rush you. He does excellent work on his surgeries too!!

Dr Mackenzie is friendly and courteous. He explains things well and is willing to answer any questions I might have. I entrust him with my health issues.

Dr. McKenzie's surgical skill and communication are outstanding. I had colon cancer that metastasized to my pancreas. Dr. McKenzie was able to remove all of the tumor such that I am currently cancer free. The entire process went smooth as silk. I highly recommend Dr. McKenzie for any type of complicated and gastric surgery.

Dr. McKenzie helped me make an informed and rational decision about getting a rather invasive and life-changing surgery to address possible lingering cancer in my esophagus. The procedure he performed on me went perfectly. The cancer was gone and my ability to eat and drink was minimally affected. McKenzie is obviously a highly skilled surgeon and very open to a canid and open dialog with his patients about treatment and possible outcomes. Highly recommended.

Dr. McKenzie is an excellent surgeon. He takes time to answer all the questions a patient asks and explains things in a manner that is easy to understand. He makes himself available to his patients and encourages them to contact him if they have any questions or concerns about their treatment.

Dr. McKenzie is an excellent surgeon. My husband had a large cancerous tumor in his liver. Dr. McKenzie and his team were able to take out the cancer. As of now he does not need any further treatment. While my husband was hospitalized, Dr. Mckenzie or a member of his team came in daily to check on him and do whatever was necessary to assist in his progress.

He did the Whipple Surgery on me . I would like to think he may have saved my life.

Dr. McKenzie was great at explaining things to me. He showed me pictures of my cancer and provided a realistic outcome of my surgery. My surgery went well and I am healing up nicely. Thank you Dr. McKenzie for everything you did regarding my care. I truly appreciate it.

Professional care with personal focus making the patient doctor experience the best possible.

When I was diagnosed with stomach cancer I thought my life was over. After seeing my oncologist and going thru the process, I realized how knowledgeable and caring these Drs were.Dr. McKenzie was very open and at the same time reassuring of my situation.the moment of truth came about at sugery.I admit being a bit afraid of my future but everything went smooth thanks to the experience and professional attitude of D.McKenzie. Thank you for giving me another chapter in my life story. And also thank you to all the oncology team and the nurses at the oncology ward at the hospital as well. Dr McKenzie is amazing. Not only a talented & life saving surgeon, but a humble and kind supporter of his patients. I would refer anyone with pancreatic cancer to him.

Being told you have cancer and need surgery is never easy to take but after meeting with Dr. McKenzie and listening to his encouraging words put my mind and body at ease. He is one of the nicest doctors (and I have had a lot of them)I have ever met. I had many nurses tell me I have the best of them and I do believe they were right. He explains things so you understand what's about to happen. He lets you know he is there should you need him or have any questions whatever. I feel very lucky he was recommended to do my surgery.

Dr McKenzie performed a Whipple procedure on me in October. He was recommended to me by my boss who is a nurse. He did an OUTSTANDING job and I can’t say enough good things about him. However, his office, who is run by a lady named Libby, is the worse! You can never get a live person to answer the phone. I called the morning after I was released from the hospital because I was experiencing major pain! I called 3 times before a nurse finally called back 4 hours later and told me she would check with the doctor but she may not hear back from him until the next day. Obviously patient care is not at the top of the list. I spoke with Libby and told her my complaints..that her office needed to get a better handle on how things are handle...that it’s an oncologist office and they are dealing with life and death for Christ sakes!! In my opinion, Miss Libby needs to be FIRED ASAP!!!

My late wife was treated for pancreatic cancer with whipple procedure. At her age it was life threatening surgery. Shawn did a wonderful job and it was comforting to see the great respect he enjoyed in the medical community. She left hospital in 5 days-a miracle of sorts. She survived that cancer and was clear after one year. Lung cancer took her life soon thereafter. She loved Shawn.

Dr. McKenzie was willing to take a higher risk patient which other Drs. declined. He did it quickly with ease and confidence and the patient is recovering well. We completely trust him as our surgeon!

Dr. McKenzie has operated on me twice, with excellent results both times. I trust him completely.
