Dr. Sean Thomas Burns

I would like to Thank Dr Burns for his guidance towards my day getting a hip replacement. I've been seeing Dr Burns for about a year and a half and finally closer to getting rid of this chronic pain.

This was my first time meeting Dr. Burns. Dr. Burns was very good at communicating. He listened to why I was there and asked questions. I am a senior citizen and I have found that sometimes Medical personnel can be very dismissive. He treated me with respect, came up with a plan of treatment and scheduled a follow up visit to make certain that the problem was gone. I highly recommend Dr. Burns for anyone who wants to be a participant in their own care. He was very comfortable in doing so.

Excellent ! He is an expert explainer, compassionate, always gives me enough time to tell him what’s wrong. He has been wonderful to my family. I am gay and he has always treated my wife as my wife. I’ve never felt the slightest prejudice from him. Look at how many years he has treated me. Without him, I don’t know if I would be as physically able. Thank Heavens he is much younger than me so he can keep me going another 20 years.

I was referred to Dr Burns following a skiing accident. After X-rays and CT, I was diagnosed with a tibial plateau fracture as well as a hairline fracture of the ankle. Dr Burns was extremely thorough in explaining the necessary procedure including the rather lengthy recovery period. I felt extremely confident being in Dr Burns care. Also have been very impressed with his staff and the staff at Concord Ortho Acute Care Clinic. I would highly recommend Dr Burns.

Dr. Burns was professional, confident and empathetic. His surgical expertise was apparent in my anterior hip replacement and I am very grateful. I would give him a 5 plus all around. He knows me and what is going on with me!! He makes each and every visit very comfortable for me. He talks while he is doing the injections in my knees and it makes it "quick and easy". Thank you Dr.Burns!!!

He took me in the day of my accident when I had broken my femur, staying extra late that day. Dr. Burns did a wonderful job with my surgery as my incision sites are small and clean. I am so thankful for his work!

This is my second knee replacement (different knees) with Dr. Burns. He met with me both times before the operations and answered all of my questions, as well telling me what to expect. He made sure that I knew that I could contact him as needed if any questions or concerns came up. He also met with me right before the operation to make sure that I was doing well. He also set up appointments after my surgeries, complete with X-rays, to make sure that my knees were healing correctly.

It was my first visit with Dr. Burns. He had a nurse practitioner I believe with him. Both very pleasant and personable. The Office is a well oiled machine! Folks are pleasant and professional. I've been several times to Concord Ortho.,for various med.issues. Today, just had X Rays, initial exam, don't have enough reason/info/services yet to form an opinion re: Dr. Burns. I had heard wonderful comments from others who knew I was going to see him about my medical concerns. He certainly did listen, let me ask questions, etc.

I have always had excellent care with Dr Burns and Staff. I have never felt rushed at an office visit. Dr Burns is an excellent surgeon. I love dealing with Concord Hospital , all staff is excellent .

After having my hip replaced last September by Dr. Burns, I had total confidence in him doing my knee replacement. Everything has gone great. Was up and walking around the same day and going home next morning.

As have been my experience with Concord Orthopedics, Dr. Burns was clear, concise, and very informative. His no nonsense approach to my situation was appreciated and provided a sense of a brighter future.

I would highly recommend Dr. Burns to anyone who needs hip replacement surgery. He did mine in late Sept. 2017. My recovery was fast and easy for me, back to work in 3 weeks.

Dr. Burns replaced my left hip seven weeks ago. The procedure went as planned, better, in fact. I had a leg length difference that was “fixed” during this surgery. This was very important to me. He was completely confident prior to surgery that I would be “even” and I am. My recovery has been largely uneventful; the only hiccup was something caused by myself. I am so confident in Dr. Burns & his ability that he is replacing my right knee very soon! I highly recommend Dr. Burns!

Dr. Burns was very informative regarding my injury. I had quite a few questions and he patiently answered all of them. My recovery went well and the staff at Concord Orthopaedics is very kind. When I met Dr. Burns, he looked so young I wondered if he had graduated from college, let alone achieve the level of surgeon! Appearances are, indeed, deceiving. When I expressed embarrassment at having broken my clavicle due to a horseback-riding accident at my age, he kindly explained how easily that particular bone is broken - among all ages. Surgery was scheduled in two days, went smoothly, and recovery is nearly complete. I highly recommend Dr. Burns and his competent, friendly staff.

I had the opportunity to meet Dr Burns a year ago following an accident while bike riding. He was on call the day of the accident so he initially saw me in the ER. It was obvious that surgery was indicated and he took the time to explain the options/process to my husband and I. This was the first hospitalization for surgery that I ever had and his calmness was so reassuring. His expertise and professionalism are noteworthy. My recovery is a direct reflection of this!

I was in a serious car accident and broke my femur, neck and back. Dr. Burns operated on my femur in a trauma situation. Not only did he do a beautiful job repairing my femur with a rod and screws, he did an amazing job closing my surgical openings- very straight and clean. He also went beyond the physical aspect of my accident. He took the time to spend with me and talk about what was things going on and my life. He is confident in the job he does, and very well should be!

Dr. Burns is an amazing surgeon! I have had 2 total hip replacements done by Dr. Burns and I could not be happier with the results and his care.
